5 stars! On point! One of the best if not the best charbroiled burgers I’ve ever eaten. I personally think the burger itself is much better than in n out. Service is ok here, crowded understandably inside but plenty of out door seating.

I usually dont write review but I just need to about this place. If you want a dry and salty burgers than come to this location. The customer service is the worst ever, even Mc Donald is better. I would give them no star but I give them one star for their ice cream cone which is the only edible thing.

Well I was working in the area and wasn’t sure about the habit or Chipotle but a burger sounded good. Only second time visiting the habit in a different location. I tried the Santa Barbara burger. Wow! Better then expected. Something different. It was on point with fresh engedients and avocado. Plus their sweet potato fries are really good. Can’t complain about the food really good burgers, great clean location with fast service even tho it was rush hour. Overall good place to have a good burger.

I know there’s a lot they have to live up to, considering I heard they’re rated better than In-n-out? To me, they’re both enjoyable. I really like this place. The service is great, the food is good and the prices are. Well not the best. I ordered the Albacore tuna fillet and two fries which came out to be around $ 12. The sandwich was $ 7 while the fries were $ 2. A little bit more on the pricier end if you ask me. The albacore(my favorite fish by the way) was average. It comes with teriyaki and tarter sauce with lettuce and your choice of bun. The fries were golden and crispy, just the way I like it. Taking the pricing out of the equation, I really enjoyed this place and would recommend this to anyone. My favorites are the chicken club sandwich and the teriyaki charred burger.

The Habit is a great burger place. I love the burgers and like that they have other options than just fries. I like the tempura green beans. They also have salads and milkshakes. The mocha milkshake is really good. I come here with my daughter. The service is good and they have an A rating.

Ahhhh Habit Burger. You once again hit the spot. This time we had the double char and added bacon, cheese, and avocado(ended up with guacamole, not complaining because it was flavorful!) and wrapped everything in lettuce. Definitely a messy lunch but a tasty one at that.

DISCLAIMER: I actually am giving five stars for the establishment itself. The rest is in reflection of the service received I personally haven’t tried The Habit Burger Grill but it won’t necessarily be the last time just because of some attitude my mom received from an employee who is still being trained. It’s not a big deal however I would like to point out as new employee rolling your eyes and and asking«Whaaat?» Instead of a courteous«I apologize but I did not understand what you just said» is not respectable. So for the new employee who, unfortunately I will call out, Taylor, it is just some advice to keep in mind. We will, if not I will be back again for the food.

The place was amazing, great service, great speed and wonderful food, I did not expect this. I am not a big burger person, but this was awesome to try. First time really. The Santa Barbara burger was wonderful, big and great presentation. Also, the veggie burger was the best I have had. Nice fries and good drinks. Clean place, nice looking inside and not your typical fast food at all. Will be back when I am in LA again.

I know many debates are had about which one is better, In N Out or The Habit? I love them both. I appreciate the menu at the Habit better, as the selection is much larger than In N Out. I have no complaints about the food or their service. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will not be disappointed. Dine or Dash? Dine. Only problem is choosing what to order.

As a Southern California native, I’ll always be an In-N-Out guy. I grew up with it and still like eating there. It wasn’t until I went to school in Santa Barbara(Go Gauchos!) that I learned all about The Habit. There wasn’t an In-N-Out in the city, but the original Habit was a few miles away from campus(and they now have one in Isla Vista) and after I graduated I ate there on occasion. When In-N-Out finally came to town, I was a happy camper, but I never forgot how much I liked The Habit, too. Fast forward many years later and The Habit has grown into a terrific chain of restaurants throughout California and the surrounding states(and also a few East Coast locations). It’s nice knowing that I don’t have to drive all the way to Santa Barbara if I’m craving one of their famous charburgers. The Habit ranks right up there with In-N-Out(and way over Five Guys) as a première fast-food burger. Their charburger is consistently good, served with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, and caramelized onions. If you want to take it up a notch, though, try it Santa Barbara style: it’s a double charburger with cheese and avocado on grilled sourdough bread. It’s a huge mouth-watering burger that will keep you satisfied for the rest of the day.

Finally went for the first time on an early afternoon weekday. I had a mushroom & grilled onion burger. It was OK, nothing special. They’re better than Fatburger, but not as good as Five Guys Burgers & Fries or In ‘n Out, but I may give Habit another chance. They’re kind of out of my way, so perhaps only if I’m in the area. The interior of this location is nice and clean with a nice outdoor patio area and the employees were nice!

I am not a huge fan of fast food burgers, but the Habit shows up on a lot of burger lists, so I had to give it a try. Plus, it was a little recon for the location opening in Vegas this week. I really enjoyed the charbroiled flavor of the burger meat, the rich creaminess of the strawberry shake, and the sweet crunch of the sweet potato fries. The service was well above par for fast food. The girl who took our order was warm and friendly and the food was served fresh, hot, and quickly. People were constantly cleaning and stocking, and clearing customer trays so the did not have to. All in all a great impression was made on me.

The order taker was unpleasant. I tried to cheer her up, and asked her to smile, but her sullen response was, «I’m tired!» You cannot get your burger prepared to order. They only cook the meat well done(I guess that is why it is called«Charburger»). Despite this injustice to the hamburger, the meat was not nearly as dry as I thought it would be. The portions are scant for the price, but the quality was adequate and the flavor was palatable. I will probably never return… there are far too many other burger options out there for the same $.

I’m not really a huge burger person although I do enjoy a good burger every now and then. I’ve been meaning to try The Habit for a while, but never made it in until last week. This particular one is located within The Colonies Crossroads in Zone C(where Nordstroms Rack and Toys R Us is located). It’s where all the other food places are by Nekter Juice Bar, Chipotle, and Panera Bread. They have plenty of indoor seating and some tables outside. I was inclined to order the BBQ Chicken Salad, but my husband was like you’re at a «burger grill» and you want a salad? HAHA… he’s on a strict diet right now so he got the Santa Barbara Cobb salad and I ended up ordering the #1 Charburger combo with fries & drink. They give you one of those«buzzers» to let you know when you’re food is ready to be picked up from the counter. $ 7.50 Santa Barbara Cobb salad $ 7.05 #1 Charburger combo $ 1.70 Medium Soda $ 1.30 Tax ======================== TOTAL $ 17.55 I asked for no pickles on my burger(even says on the receipt), but of course there’s still pickles in my burger. For the drinks, we both chose the Strawberry Limeade which was delicious, but they were running low on it. Overall the food tasted good and it didn’t take too long to come out. Definitely putting on my «good enough to return» list. 54⁄100 Reviews for 2015

I just can’t help it– I have a habit of loving burgers too darn much and the ones served up here are no different. A growing chain since starting up in Santa Barbara, California several decades ago, the Habit serves up plenty of deliciously chargrilled burgers, sandwiches, salads, and tasty shakes. This particular location is located in the upper lands of Upland in a newishly built lot that also comprises of many other eateries. Their motto at Habit? «Respect the Burger.» I couldn’t have said it better myself. Essentially their burgers come in one of two varieties– a single char or a double char and they are both served w/pickles, mayo, tomato, lettuce, and caramelized onions in between a toasted bun. From there extras can be added such as cheese and bacon. They also offer what they call«Santa Barbara Style» which is essentially a double char burger w/cheese accompanied by avocado and served on sourdough bread. The burgers are oh so tasty and quite filling. Unilocal buddy Chris C recommends adding bacon to your char burger and I will definitely have to try that on a future visit. In addition to their wonderful char burgers, I have also tried their pastrami sandwich. I’m a sucker for good pastrami and thankfully The Habit here in Upland did not disappoint on this either. They serve their pastrami w/Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, mayo, and mustard. It’s a little different than the basic pastrami sandwich but great nonetheless. I like how you can choose what type of bread you would like for the sandwiches. I tried the sourdough bread w/the pastrami and it provided a slightly different, yet favorable, taste. The pastrami served here was lean and not vey fatty or overlooked. They offer sides such as fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. Both the regular fries and onion rings I tried were good, but I’m a little bit more inclined to go w/the onion rings. This place was very clean and every one of the employees here were all super friendly and polite. One acted as though it was forced, but she was neither disrespectful or rude. Definitely a 4.5 for me. This is truly one Habit I do not want to break.
