How can I not give Icon at least 4 stars? I always have an AWESOME time here. There’s always a friendly crowd, everyone’s always dancing and having a blast, and there’s nowhere else in Tuscaloosa (that I’m aware of) where you can see full
blown drag shows! Some of the drags are better than others, but it’s all in good fun and a blast to watch them. Honestly, I wish I could look half that good and be half the performers they are!
I have some constructive criticism for Icon as well. This place is dirty dirty. I suppose «hole in the wall» might be part of the charm, but I think it could stand to be spruced up quite a bit and still keep the «secret club» theme going. Also, don’t set a very high bar for drink selections if you go there. Their beer choice is limited and the liquor is the type normally kept in the deep, dark corners of the bottom shelf. Be prepared for a hangover. But still, don’t miss the Icon!

ICON always knows how to get the party started. Drag show starts at 12 on Friday and Saturday, my girl Bambi is an amazing performer. Adrian and Shelley who Bartend will always hook you up! Feeling up for something adventurous, try the icon shot, cheap and sweet.

In my opinion, better than Quest in Birmingham. Awesome music, fantastic weekly specials. During the week its a little quieter, but the $ 2 martinis on Tuesday are perfect for a relaxed night with friends. All the martinis are amazing by the way, and the raspberry is my favorite. I’ve always had a great time here. It’s one of the number one things I miss about living in Tuscaloosa.
