This is chain but a good choice if you are looking for healthy. You can add a ton of crap and make it not healthy but if you can easily make it a awesome Neal and not feel bad about it. Lots of toppings to pick from and the staff is always nice. Good choice in stressing too.

I don’t expect much from chain restaurants, and I don’t usually get much. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and cup of soup. I don’t have any specific complaints, but nothing was exceptional either. The soup was gloppy and served medium hot, the Caesar dressing was bland and lacked any real kick and was under seasoned. They do have reasonably good wifi, a lunch time requirement, and I refilled my pop several times. I might try one of their big ass salads next time and revisit this review, maybe they are only really good at one thing.

Somebody mentioned to me today that they went to big salad. I said I would not go back again. It reminded me to post a review. I went there last summer for the first time and got there 10 minutes till closing and ordered a salad. I was surprised that it was given to me in a plastic to go container. I was told they would be closing in 10 minutes and I had to go. Wow. I’m not a super fast eater but I’m pretty sure I could have been out no later than 5 minutes past closing. In any event it wasn’t an option. I ate the stupid salad in my car in the parking lot. It was boring at best. Obviously I wasn’t welcomed there and therefore would not go back.

There are many salad choices and it’s actually cheaper to order a pre-made salad combo than to make your own. The salad ingredients are fresh but they tend to overdress the salad with dressing. I ordered the Walnut Apple salad and it was pretty filling but there were just a four ingredients, including the lettuce! For 8 $, this is quite expensive.

I really love The Big Salad in Troy! I recently moved to an office right on Big Beaver, and I go to this Big Salad at least once a week. It is true that you can expect a line at lunch time, but it is totally worth it. My favorite item to order is the«pick-a-pair» with the Caprese sandwich and side salad with three toppings. They have a huge selection of dressings and toppings to choose from, and three types of lettuce as well. The service is awesome too! I’m not sure of any of their names, but the girl and guy that work in the afternoon, as well as the owner are very, very pleasant and always make stopping in an enjoyable experience!

I just came here on my lunch break as I never been here before and wanted a fresh salad. Honestly I had to double check if there were even open dude. dead. I get in it’s so dark in there. does not work up my appetite at all. The ingredients did not seem fresh at all! Yuk. I ended up getting the pair combo with the soup and a salad, mind you they were out of most of there toppings. Got a salad an the tortilla soup. I will not be able to finish my meal because it is disgusting the soup seems like it’s been sitting out all day and my salad I picked Romain and spinach mixed and very very soggy I also got my dressing on the side so it wouldn’t be my would not recommend this place to anybody and I will never go back myself!

I love the Big Salad. The variety of items is great and the product is consistently fresh. I would say that the portions are big which is in line with the name of the store. The soup and sandwiches are amazing too. I would highly recommend stopping there. Baja and wedge salad are my favorite and the bread is fresh. When I asked the girl behind the counter — she said she makes it daily which makes sense

The store manager will according to the race to make something different size. Racial discrimination is deep.

I have never written a Unilocal review before this. I am shocked that I just paid 9 dollars for pretty much a ton of bread and very little turkey or veggies on my «garden sandwich» not only is this a sad excuse for a sandwich but neither of the employees that«helped» me said thank you or have a nice day. When I asked if I can add something to my garden turkey, the employee looked at me as if I were crazy and responded«that’s a sandwich…» All I wanted to add was some onions, which I got 4 tiny slivers of on the sandwich and I think I got charged an extra dollar for 4 slivers of onion. If this is a franchise, I recommend you reevaluate the corporate training program for the sake of your location. It’s unfortunate because the homemade honey mustard was great.

I was having a big taste for some soup immediately, but I can’t digest whatever preservatives they put in campbells so instead of hitting a grocery store I came in here. Small cup of soup + tax ended up at $ 5.17…they give you no bread, additions or anything else with it like they would at zoup or nino salvaggio etc. That’s pretty darn expensive if you ask me. At this point I’m concluding it is a homemade soup made by an old Russian master-cook babushka with the secret ingredient of unicorn tears. Well guess what? After eating half of that tiny cup I feel super sick and I know very well this particular way of my stomach rumbles. I just bought a $ 5.17 cup of campbells soup. Avoid them

When ordering from here, myself and my coworkers usually order online and pick up. I have yet to arrive without the order being ready and it is usually accurate. Although a bit overpriced for what you get, so we don’t go that often but like having a change of pace for lunch now and then.

As a vegetarian I expected to be floored with the extensive selection of fresh veggies. They have a lot of options, but nothing, especially the vacuum-bagged avocado halves, seemed particularly fresh. The salad i custom made was good, but nothing I couldn’t make at home. This is a good option if you’re in the area and need a salad quick, but otherwise it’s a «skip it».

Do you like fresh lettuce? Don’t go to big salad. Do you like hot chicken, fresh off the grill? Don’t go to big salad. First off-their huge selection of dressings is a scam, they have a limited inventory-they mix dressings together to create an «illusion» of having so many to choose from. One star is my rating because NO star wasn’t an option! If you advertise freshness you should actually practice it-throw out the wilted lettuce! Chicken comes frozen in a bag-yuck! Prices are so inflated, it’s not funny. Save your hard earned money and go to any number of metro area coney islands to get a better fresher and most of all CHEAPER-«BIG“SALAD!!!

The salads are very good and fresh, there’s mutiple veggies you can choose from and protein. I also think it’s a little expensive for a salad.

You might think a salad is no biggy… but a big delicious fresh salad is everything! I was craving one the other day and it was just about to close… I called, they stayed open a few more minutes for me!!! And it was a Saturday night!!! Thank you to them for making a super yummy salad, and amazing service!

Why is the salad chopped to heck? The lettuce was wilted. Protein options are prepackaged and gross. Should be able to get a much better salad at a fancy coney island type place. At least something with freshly grilled chicken and greens that arent a week old for $ 10.

Great big salads! If you like a lot of rabbit food this place is awesome. My girlfriend always gets the big salad and I get the chicken Ceasar sandwich which is great. It’s a little pricy for salad but the portion is huge. Great quality with a ton of options to choose from. Staff is friendly and the place is clean!

I had a revelation today that I picked the wrong career choice in life. I should have been the guy that came up with this concept of overcharging suckers for one of the cheapest and easiest things to make; salad. Yes that does mean that I am one of those«suckers» who was duped into spending my money here. Luckily though it was one time and one time only. The markup is insane at over 600% of what it costs to make the thing in the first place. I spent $ 9.00 plus tax for a salad that probably cost at most $ 1.25 to make. Their tag line prides themselves on being«fresh» but how can you be fresh with bagged lettuce, frozen chicken that looks like a rubber shoe sole, canned/processed meats and not to mention dressings that taste like they were bought from a cheap bulk food store. As I sat there eating I asked myself«is anything actually made in house here?» From my spot I could kind of see in to the back of the restaurant and it looks like nothing more than a typical prep station where you’d open up your cans of stuff and dump them in serving containers. When I used to hear the phrase«The Big Salad» I would instantly think of the Seinfeld episode of the same name and Jerry saying«What’s in the big salad? Big lettuce, big carrots, tomatoes like volleyballs?» but this place was nothing like that. Save your money folks. If you are looking for a big salad just stick to your standard Coneys/Diners. You will get more of the same quality for a fraction of the price.
