Amante Pizza

Ordered delivery through GrubHub. About 4 bites into my calzone I realized that they put the wrong fillings in it. My husband then cut his open and his was missing bacon. We called them to tell them it was incorrect and see if they could fix it. After yelling back and forth between the person on the phone and someone in the kitchen they told me that it wasn’t wrong and they absolutely had put the correct things in the calzones. After insisting that it was they offered to make 2 new ones if we would give the incorrect ones back. After I told them that I had already eaten some of mine before realizing it was wrong they wouldn’t accept that either.
I ended up having to call GrubHub directly to have them dispute it because I was not going to argue over a calzone being incorrect.
It’s very unfortunate that their customer service is horrible because we used to enjoy ordering from them. The pizza and calzones have always been good, up until now. But with the service we just received we won’t be ordering from them again.

I have ordered from here through GrubHub on several Occasions now.
The location of the shop seems to have been a revolving door of late however I really hope that this place stays. There are so many different pizza places in Troy New York and this is one of the few good ones. They seem to use fresh ingredients which makes a big difference in the type of pizza that is created.
This is definitely a great new pizza place that everybody should give a try to and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I have ordered food during busy for football times and have never had to wait more than an hour for my pizza to be delivered to me. They also seem to have a lot of other Mediterranean types of foods that I have not tried yet.

Friendly staff, excellent pizza (the best in Troy as far as I can tell) and pricing that makes my college student wallet happy.

Meh… Not super impressed. I ordered at 11 AM online through Unilocal.It gave me an estimate of 15 – 20 minutes. Then I got a text message that said to expect 11:30 because it was busy. Then I got a phone call from someone at Amante’s letting me know there was an issue with online orders and to come at noon. (Which I thought the phone call was nice.) I got there at noon and they said 6 more minutes, they were working on my pizzas now. I was able to leave with pizzas in hand maybe 15 minutes later. I was still ready to brush all of this off as a fluke if I got home and the food was yummy. I got home… They forgot to put pepperoni on my pizza. The mozzarella sticks were cold and the wings weren’t cooked enough. Hugely disappointed. To top it off, I’ve found that I’ve been double charged. No thanks… Not worth the hassle.

Amantes pizza is the best pizza that I have tasted in Troy. I was recommended to Amantes by a friend of mine.
I ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was delicious. The pizza was handmade in front of me and tasted amazing. Every time I come here the staff is professional and pleasant to speak with. The prices are also reasonable. For two cheese slices and a soda it’s only 4.50.

LOVE Amante pizza! I come here more than I’d like to admit. The owner is super friendly and their food is so good. Almost everything is homemade. They cook their meat on premises and you can tell. High quality food with average prices and late hours, can’t beat it. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

The pizza here is good! The mild wings are amazing and if an order goes ring, the customer service is really good.

I’ve ordered delivery here two nights in a row. They have something for which I’ve been searching for years. Delivery falafel, hummus, tabouli, etc. The quality and taste is very good. They are new but unique in their offerings so I expect and hope they are here to stay.

I stopped at Amante Pizza for a quick dinner. The place is very cozy, which is order at the counter and a few tables for eating in. This pizza shop offers a good variety of traditional and specialty thin crust pizzas (by the whole pie (14″-16″-18″) and by the slice), calzones, strombolis, subs, salads, pasta dinners, gyros, fried appetizers, wings, and Mediterranean items (shawarma, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, baklava).
Behind the glass counter, they had several pizzas (by the slice) on display. I picked out 2 specialty slices of pizza ($ 3 each), which were warmed up in the oven. I had slices of the Chicken Teriyaki and Amante pizzas. The Chicken Teriyaki slice was topped with tender pieces of boneless grilled chicken, green peppers, onions, mushrooms (preserved), mozzarella cheese, and teriyaki sauce drizzle. The Amante slice was topped with grilled beef, green peppers, mushrooms (preserved), medium salsa, and white sauce. The thin crust was firm, light and soft inside. The pizza here was pretty darn good and not greasy either.
It’s great to have another choice in the area (close to RPI) for tasty specialty pizza slices, ready to go quickly.

This is the new pizza place at this adress, I’ve seen them come and go, but the kindness of their workers, and their Amante Pizza is amazing, I’ve had their garlic knots which are awesome and their baklava which my wife (who is a baklava snob) liked. But the one thing that makes them really stand out is their specialty Amante Pizza. It is a pizza with tomato sauce and cheese, but they top it like a gyro. either chicken or beef (I’ve had the beef and its like a steak pizza) peppers, mushrooms, and that dill yogurt sauce that is awesome! (not gonna try to spell it). Its a great change from the regular troy pizza’s.
