Out yesterday cruising out on the bike. We found Crabby Patti’s. First I like to say it is a hole in the wall. Where I find good food. I compare this to like Cheesburger, Cheesburger. It is not fast food, NFF. Everything is made to order, nothing like sitting in a big container heated by boiling water. As I look around and look through the glass as it was made. The King crab legs are steam not boil. In a Ninja cooker, it made the difference in the crab legs. So as not to lose the flavor of the crab. I order the fried clam strip to start off with. Then for dinner, Chesapeake Bay Crab Alfredo, King crab legs. I order also to take home. Maryland crab cake platter. Later on at home, we try out the Maryland crab cake. I can tell as soon I took my first bite. It had very little breading/stuffing in it. Not like other place will had bit of bread crumb. You actually see the lump of crab meat in it. Sweet potatoes fries with a horsey sauce for dipping. This place makes everything to order. So, if you stop to dine in. BYOB and sit and just chill and enjoy the food.

The restaurant is a new place and cozy(small). The seating is not extensive, but it is adequate. Onto more important matters… the food was delightful! The prices were reasonable and the take on the pizza steak hoagie was a pleasant surprise. It was sliced steak not chopped… delightful according to our company. I got the mushroom swiss burger and my wife got the American Classic burger; both we super yummy! My wife also ordered the peal and eat shrimp; they should not have served it! On the plus side, they replaced the shrimp with a very delicious pan seared order of shrimp. It was disappointing that we were served an unpleasant refrigerated shrimp, but they handled the situation to our satisfaction! The real draw back to this place is that for about 5 orders or so(four orders before ours) the ticket time was fairly poor(it took about 25 – 30 minutes for our group of 4 to get our order)…there were no groups as large as ours before us and it took awhile to get our order, but it was certainly worth the wait! The food was definitely worth it and we will return. If they can get the orders out a bit faster this place would be a total winner! If you’re not in a super rush, it’s not a drawback at all… you’ll be quite satisfied by the food. I’m from Baltimore and have experienced some of the best crab cakes ever and I have to say the one pan-fried crab cake I saw being cooked(you can see the food being prepared) looked pretty yummy… I’ll try it next time. The place gets two thumbs up, no doubt! Enjoy!

I hate to give this place only three stars because I like that there’s now a seafood place on Brownsville road, and I also like the service and aesthetic of this place. Unfortunately they have some kinks to work out. The fish here is good but not great. Being a fair distance away from any meaningful bodies of water the seafood isn’t the freshest, however it’s edible if somewhat mediocre. I experienced this with both my fish and chips and my dining partner’s crab cakes. On to the fish and chips — the ‘chips’ are actual potato chips and not French fries as one would think. I was excited to try their homemade potato chips anyway but was disappointed. They were soggy and not at all crispy, and very greasy. It’s hard to pull of a home cooked potato chip, so while I give them points for trying, the end result was a mess. The actual French fries though are decent, and I wish I had substituted them in my own meal. Their slaw is also sweet and tasty, but no one goes to a seafood place for slaw and French fries alone. That being said, I hope this business succeeds. I personally will be returning, since I think some of the more mechanical issues will be worked out over time. Like I said, the service here is friendly and prompt, so the dining experience is enjoyable overall. Just know that when you go here you’re far from the ocean, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

I would like to start off by saying that we’ve eaten here twice since they opened. The first time was half decent but the second time was a disaster. Our first order included a «petite platter» of crabmeat marinated with butter served with baguettes. They gave us a lot of crab but only 2 tiny pieces of baguettes which I found to be a little odd. Bread is fairly cheap so I’m not sure why they were so stingy about it. We also had the buffalo shrimp which weren’t breaded(sadly) and were very mediocre. My husband had the fish and chips and he enjoyed it. The chips were homemade and crispy. We figured hey, not bad. Our second order was not on par with the quality I expect for a $ 43.00 meal. I started off with the portobello mushroom with crabmeat. As someone who loves mushrooms I couldn’t wait to dig in. The mushroom was very bland and instead of being filled with real crabmeat, they used the mushy filler meat. It was foul looking and even worse to taste. I’ve had this dish from other restaurants so I know it is something I normally love when the quality is there. 0⁄10 — Do not recommend. The second dish I had was the fried scallops and french fries. When I opened the platter my mouth literally dropped open. The scallops were the size of a penny. What seafood restaurant serves a scallop that size? Never seen anything like it. There weren’t even that many in there! The whole dish was basically steak fries with a side of scallops. I tasted the scallops and they had no flavor. I do want to mention that my husband had a BBQ chicken steak and he was happy with it. Not for nothing but as a so called«seafood» restaurant, their seafood should be more on point than a measly chicken steak. When I called to talk to the manager, I expressed my issues and all she did was spew a lousy attitude at me. I’m sorry, what? As a new business, you should listen to your customer’s constructive criticism, apologize for the issues, and offer to replace the meal at no charge or maybe offer a gift card. Instead, she completely turned us off. We returned the food and got our money back but it was a very unpleasant experience with the manager. Never again. Bye Felicia.

Our first trip to Crabby’s. I don’t want to knock a new business. Looked like the girl in the kitchen was working very hard. Think it’s the owner, I asked about the soup. They said they don’t make it on hot days. Ok. We asked, what do you recommend? The nice girl at the counter replied that she would not be much help, she was allergic to shellfish. Bummer. I’ll go with an old stand by. Fried shrimp and french fries. My fiancé ordered the pick and peel shrimp. Plus we split an order of little necks, steamed. Never saw white clams before. Tasted kind of funny. Fried shrimp was over cooked. The pick and peel shrimp had no taste. Plus everything they served came out of bags or boxes from the freezer or fridge. Out of knives. 2 napkins left in the place. We wish them all the success in the world. We will not be back. I’ll stick to Dom’s.
