This is the best place to get seafood. They have everything you want. I especially love their shrimp and crab cakes. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Cool place with great food but it’s more of a market. No tables and carry out only. Didn’t see that in the other reviews.

Best scallops! Decent prices, the scallops were from jersey (awesome) the crab cakes are the closest I can get to Maryland crab cakes I grew up on. And no one in PA has ever been able to come close until I came here. Very delish!

I went here for live crabs and was told they had all different priced crabs. I bought what was the most expensive ones, $ 8.00 EACH, and they were the smallest crabs ever. I’ve been buying and cooking crabs for over 35 years and I’ve never seen such small crabs labeled Jumbo. Since I live far and was planning my dinner around these, I couldn’t take them back. I will NEVER go to this joint again or refer anyone here. The owner was rude, too! RIP OFF! Back to Crab Daddy’s in Philly for me! They have true JUMBO or MONSTER crabs and price is about the same. I’m really upset I was so ripped off; lesson learned. I don’t know anything about the seafood they sell but those prices were high, too, for the what they were selling.

By far and away these are the best Crabs in Philadelphia they always have a great selection and the staff and service are second to none … The prices are the best for Crabs anywhere I’ve been to. Shawn is an amazing person to deal with.

Don’t let the décor and the difficulty in finding the hidden gem deter you from this establishment. This place is gold for a seafood lover like myself! I had the most fresh and delicious garlic crabs and shrimp. The crab Mac and cheese and pasta salad was amazing. The shrimp egg roll super yummy. I washed everything down with a classic root beer! Great price, good service and scrumptious food!

When we go shopping at Neshamany Mall, I know I am in for a treat BIG LIVE BLUE POINT CRABS. When we are done shopping, I make my family, friends stop at American Crab to buy live crabs. They always have crabs (plus a lot more) no matter what time of the year. The staff is very helpful and honest, sign up for text and receive money saving deals. If you enjoy SEAFOOD this is the place to go to. You won’t go wrong.

The fact that I found decent seafood in PA was unbelievable. Came in around 9:45 on a Saturday, knowing that they closed in 15 minutes.
The person working was extremely helpful and offered to cook a lot our choices even though they just turned off the fryers. We ordered crab mac n cheese, scallops, crabs, garlic shrimp, and crab cakes. It came to around $ 60 which is a little pricey for take out seafood but it was honestly all really delicious.
I’d totally come back when craving seafood but stuck in the burbs.

Great spot! The owner greeted me as I came in and showed me around, super nice guy. They have both live and prepared crabs, plus a good selection of soups, sauce, shrimp, and sometimes oysters. Prices are decent and they will clean the crabs for a small fee. It’s a bit hard to find with a gps, it’s on the northbound side of route 1, next to a ⁷⁄₁₁. I’ll definitely be going back.

Seriously the crabs here are always the best .don’t jus limit yourself to crabs they have pretty much anything seafood you could want. I had to take time out to write this review before I go home because once I get there I’m going in on these crabs! Thanks for making my Mother’s Day. if I didn’t get my male crabs I would have been sad lol #great crabs and great service!!!

I have been coming here once a month for over a year. I love this place. Décor isn’t much. But the service and food are undeniably the best in the city. They have the largest crabs I’ve seen in the city. Typically get a dozen of the cooked crabs. So good. Only negative comment I would leave is once or twice the crabs had a lot of sand in them. Which ruins the experience. But overall I am a lifetime customer.

This spot is close to our home and while it’s a bit of a hole-​in-​the-​wall, it reminds me of the seafood markets where I grew up on the Jersey Shore. Its a go-​to when we want crab cakes, steamed shrimp and steamers.
Everyone is friendly and they cook your purchases however you want them!

This place caught me by surprise! I am soooo happy I walked in here while staying at Radison across the street!!! I bought potato salad, Crab Mac and Cheese, Crab-​cakes!!! And Blue Crab, cooked in house spice!!! Wow!!! The best meal I had in a long time!!! I will keep this spot on my radar every time I am on town!!!
Everything was delicious, Mac was amazing, blue crab was fresh and sweet and savory… love this place! Suggestion for the owner: find a way to put 5 to 10 tables inside and you will have business coming out of your ears)))) If you need an investor call me!!!

Visiting from NY went to the Dunkin donuts next door saw the sign saying open… Unilocaled it… read the reviews and reviews were right on point. Excellent customer service and seafood was very good. Ordered almost a little of everything clams casino very good!!!

I love this place! I always come here for crabs. The crabs are fresh, tastes sweet and at a right price. The peeled shrimps are amazing as well. Big and tasty. I also dig the crab cakes. The service is also good and friendly.

It’s still a humble-​looking location but the service is fantatic. They actually cook up the wings when you order them so they are hot, fresh, and sooooo flavorful. AND they are still good the next day too (heat in oven). Me? I had a crabcake tonight (no meat on Fri) that was nicely seasoned and full of fresh, delicious crabmeat. Just heat it in the oven and you’re good to go. Plus, I have those wings to look forward to tomorrow.

I got a Living Social coupon here and very happy with my experience. This place is family owned, apparently in their family for years, and I was helped by a very friendly man who owns the place. We got a lot of personal attention, he explained where the seafood came, how long they have been there and even how to cook the food.
I got two crab cakes, some crab mac and cheese, and four ex large crabs for $ 40, but $ 30 with Living Social.

This is a spot I always hit up when I swing into Philly… If you drive too fast you can easily miss this gold mine of seafood delights. You are instantly transported to the bay or bayou as soon as you enter and there is a seafood item everywhere you look… The first thing to hit your eyes are the crabs of every size imaginable. Average, Mediums, Large, Jumbo, Colossal and finally WHALE SIZED! You can get them live uncooked or seasoned and steamed with a nice reddish finish. I usually grab about a dozen Large or Jumbos (Oh yeah and did I mention that you can order one of each if you want to sample every size)
Once past the steamed crabs I move on to the other goodies. Those great tasting garlic shrimp and crabs. Both a slathered with the house garlic butter sauce. When I tell you this sauce has to be tasted to be believed. Its has a sweetness to it and then it has a garlicky flavor as well. Its just the best and they wont tell me what it is… but they do sell it by the container full. The top shell is removed and then the crabs are drenched in «the sauce». You’ll definitly get a kick out of the fact that they use a bucket ala Kentucky Fried Chicken to pack the garlic crabs,.A bucket of crabs, aint that a hoot!
Amercian Crab is definitly a must stop if you like getting your crab on… If they had seating I would probably live there!

Became a customer for [unbelievably!] the first time this past weekend… a little Gem of a place… Seafood Nirvana. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

This place has apparently been in business for over 15 years, but this was my first time trying it (and I grew up not too far away in Somerton). It’s located next to a seedy pawn shop on Route 1 (across from the Radisson), but whatever. I went in on a random Tuesday afternoon in the summer and they had plenty of selection of both live and steamed blue crabs ranging in size from small (females) to humongous (males). I bought a dozen of the steamed mid-​size crabs ($ 3-​$ 4 each), but they still seemed pretty huge to me. The $ 8 crabs were truly GIGANTIC. The steamed crabs were done with a very nice Old Bay-​style seasoning… delicious! I also picked up some of the garlic sauteed crabs which were small but excellent. They have lots of other stuff on the menu that seems like it would be pretty good (e.g., crab wings, old bay fries, etc.), but I’m all about the crabs. I’ll be coming here regularly from now on… easily worth the nearly 1 hour drive from Princeton.
