Shame, shame. Dropping stars here. I still like the place BUT… Seems as if they are getting sloppy and penny pinching. Visited a few days ago about 7pm. Walked in the door and up to the hostess desk. THREE hostesses standing there talking to each other. They totally ignored me — no greeting — not even recognition that I was there. It was not crowded and not too busy but I was completely ignored. SOOOOO, I just went to a table and seated myself!!! I had previously visited them and had ordered the jambalaya. It came with only 3 shrimp so I asked the server to find out how many shrimp were supposed to be in the jambalaya. She returned from the kitchen and said 3 or 4 depending on size. All previous visits it came with 4. Well this time I asked for the jambalaya with 4 shrimp and was now told, by the kitchen, that the jambalaya only comes with 3 shrimp. Just another way to stick it to the clientele. Overall, my experiences have been going downhill. On the positive side, my wife says they have the best veggie burgers in The Villages(as long as you put blue cheese on it — and that is with an up-charge). Added note: visited again this past Sunday evening. Had same hostess problem AGAIN — ignored at front desk by hostess yakking away! ABSOLUTELYUNACCEPTABLE. Does management ever check these reviews? I guess not!

We just lunched here, and had a wonderful time. We are on the patio, on a gorgeous day in lovely surroundings, with very attentive staff. We simply had chic wings, hamburger, and side salad all very tasty.

One of our favorite places! They are always willing to alter certain dishes to your liking with no problem. Their coconut butterfish is delicious and my husband raves about their fish stew. Also, they have very good gluten free selections. Unfortunately, during snowbird months we are unable to get in without a wait, but all other times of the year we have no problem getting seated right away. Nice atmosphere too!

We went here for the breakfast buffet. They had made to order omelets, which I like. In addition to the standard breakfast fare, they also had grits and biscuits with sausage gravy that pleased our New England palates. They also have mimosas and Bloody Marys. The buffet was reasonably priced at about $ 11 per person. I would definitely go back again.

To be honest, not very good. It is low quality diner food. Food lacks flavor and is over salted. Had a very nice waitress but considerably better food to be found in other places for the same price.

This is our«go to» place when we can’t decide or agree where to go for lunch or dinner. Their corn and crab chowder is the BEST and when paired with a dinner side salad makes for a perfect lunch. My husband always gets the fried fish sandwich or dinner and it has always been good. We’ve had other dishes there too, and all have been good. Wait staff always pleasant and attentive.

Moved to the Villages a month ago and I must say I am impressed with Bonifay. The Buffett Breakfast is always good, love the fresh fruits and omelets made to order. Dinner menu just added a gluten free menu! We had the burgers on the best gluten free bread that did not fall apart. Chef Jason came out to speak with us and said he has been working on a new gluten free menu. He’s done great things with this new menu which also included vegetarian food. Very nice Florida theme inside and service is good. I love to go there and now that the gluten free menu is expanding, I’ll be visiting even more!

We invited a friend for dinner at Bonifay, thinking it would be good. The food turned out to be pretty awful and certainly not worth the money. My jambalaya consisted of a small mound of tasteless rice in the center of a truckload of green and red peppers. Hiding among the undercooked peppers were a couple of shrimp, a few bits of chicken, and two small paper thin slices of sausage. It was a bad dining experience, and I will certainly not return to that restaurant!

Okay food. The service was good. The bathroom was clean I didn’t even have to wash my hands.

The breakfast buffet is great. Lots of options and killer omelets. Long wait to get one bit worth it. Beer is cold and good service at night but not an upscale menu. Moderate but worth the money. Nice outside areas with TV and view of the golf course. Servers have personality.

Great location and the Taco Salad was good. But flies are everywhere. We sat at the bar 3 months ago and had to swat flies the whole time. Came back two weeks ago, more flies. This is their main problem. Flies are even inside nesting on the tables.

Horrible. How do you screw up meatloaf. Ate with 7people and only my daughter who got a taco salad was pleased.

We were here with a group of six and everyone went away happy. Half of us started with the Crab&Corn Chowder and it was delicious. I then had a Thai Chicken wrap and the Thai sauce was great – spicy enough, but doesn’t blow you away. My wife had a grilled chicken wrap with a side of asparagus. Both were very good. The house merlot and suavignon blanc wines were fine. Get Jessica as your server — - she is top notch.

This place has some pretty adorable beachy theming inside. The theming crossed over into the restroom, where the stalls were white picket fences — I was amused! Theming aside, the food was yummy and the service was great. Our server was enthusiastic and friendly, and quickly whisked my meal away when he realized they’d sent out a classic reuben instead of a turkey reuben. They brought me a new one in a few short minutes. Oh — and the sweet potato fries were delish, too.

We have been several times for the breakfast buffet, and it has been excellent each time. The two times we have been for lunch, the food and service were OK, but nothing to write home about.

Came for the breakfast buffet and was pleased. Nothing over the top here but a really good buffet with all the regulars. An omelet and egg bar, bacon, sausage, biscuit and gravy, french toast, grits, oatmeal, fresh fruit and so on. You had your choice of several standard omelet ingredients including mushrooms, tomatoes, onion. peppers, bacon, sausage, cheese etc. all cooked right in front of you. Very nice presentation, friendly staff and overall good experience. Will definitely return to try lunch and dinner.

Went to this new country club for the first time for a late lunch today. We sat inside as the outdoor area was full, & since it was late, we decided to not wait & eat indoors. Our server was rushing us somewhat the minute we were seated. I was dissapointed that they don’t have flavored ice tea. The food was mediocre to us. Not really worth the distance from our home. There are plenty of better restaurants closer.
