Great food! The appetizers are on point, I was full half way through the meal. The service was great, I didn’t have to ask or wait for my drink to filled. This is one thing I will miss about Utah when I move back to Oklahoma.

Best phở in Salt Lake City. The service is typically spot on. I have tried dozens in town and this is the best and it is inexpensive.

Great little place. Tried the lemongrass tofu. Generous portion and perfect spice level. Enough to wake you up but not melt your face. Service was friendly, but a little slow. Overall a great experience, I’d eat here again.

Best broth!!! I’ve been to several phở kitchens in the area and this is by far the best! And the fresh spring rolls are to die for.

Ate here after school one day because it’s not too far from SLCC’s redwood campus and I’m glad I chose this place. The waiters were very friendly and patient. It was the best phở I’ve ever had because it had crab, parsley, and onions in it. The pad thai was delicious and had peanuts, vegetables, and tasty noodles. I didn’t notice they had boba drinks till we were walking out so I will be coming back for those. 5⁄5 stars

So… Your service is great! However, your food absolutely disgusting. I had the sea food phở — I literally took a bite and never finished. My mom had the vegetarian phở and she did not eat that either. Your rice plates are not good. Your Thai tea is good :) perhaps that’s is the only 5 star on your menu.

Holy Phở!!! The rare beef phở is where it’s at. Not only am I blown away by the flavorful broth and noodles — but I also love the plates of sprouts, lime wedges, jalapeños, Thai basil they bring out with it and I can customize it to my liking. Add a little bit of hoisin sauce and sriracha and you’ve got heaven. Seriously in love with this place

I have always loved this place for many years. The food is the reason I keep coming back. If your looking for good Phở in SLC, this is the place. I have yet to go to the West Jordan location, but the main Taylorville has never failed me. It’s usually quiet and not alot of noise. Only gripe is the staff is always hit or miss with service.

The best food ever! Service is really great, and I will typically try to convince 2 friends a month to give Phò Biên Hòa a chance! I adore it! Atmosphere, food, service, everything. Definitely a forever favorite!

Legit ass catfish soup on a cold day in Utah. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this dish here of all places and for it to be actually as good as(or better) than what I’m used to in the Bay Area was an even bigger surprise. I finished about half the pot and took the rest to go, great value for an authentic dish. The broth is a bit sour and spicy, almost like Tom Yum style soup but done in a Vietnamese way. Loads of flavor and the catfish was not overcooked. I noticed that we were the only Asian people eating at the restaurant and everyone else ordered typical fare, but taking a risk every now and then to try the chefs specials are definitely more than worth it!

After coming here once, trying the phở and being super disappointed, a friend of mine insisted that I go back and try it again. So I gave this place a second chance. And i can honestly say the phở here is pretty mediocre there was no flavor to the broth. I even tried to dress it up a little with some hoisen and siracha and though it slightly improved I was not a fan. There are plenty of better phở spots around the area.

The last time I visited Phở Bien Hoa with a friend, to show them how great it was, it wasn’t. I thought the time before that was just a fluke — turns out two times in a row it wasn’t as good as it used to be. The quality of the food has significantly diminished over the last year or so. I’m so sad, because this was really good and I can’t say that anymore. It’s a bummer.

Great little place to have a lunch date. I was really pleased with the food. I have ordered take out here before but never actually came to dine inside. Glad I did. It was intimate and had lots of plants for a jungle like feel. Not sure how I felt about the TV with Giada on there cooking though. The service was very attentive and helpful. Here is a breakdown on the eats: Fresh Spring Rolls: Large order of fresh, not chewy, rolls with a little shrimp and pork added in for good measure. What really stood out was the peanut sauce for dipping. The peanuts had a «just roasted» flavor to them and really made it stand out. «House Specialty» Phở: The regular sized bowl is very large here. It was chock full of meatball, tendon, brisket, flank and tripe. The broth was flavorful and not greasy. They had plenty of condiments. I also ordered some pickled onions as a garnish. It was the first time I have had them and they add a nice bite to the soup. Grilled Pork and Dried Bean Curd Rice Plate: This dish was so good. The bean curd was very unusual and extremely tasty. It was fried lightly and had a great texture. The pork was seasoned perfectly too. My only complaint was the tomatoes served with the veggies were beat. It boggles my mind that restaurants still serve up something so pale and unflavorful when it is prime tomato harvest time.

On a lazy weeknight I decided to stop by Phở Bien Hoa for some take out phở. Judging from it’s location along this older strip mall I was very surprised to walk in and find a newer, well decorated interior. I placed my order for a Large Phở Dac Biet at the counter and didn’t have to wait long before my food was ready. I was very disappointed with my Phở Dac Biet. It had no aroma and lacked the holy trinity of phở — onion, ginger, and star anise. I usually eat my phở as is, with no added hoisin and siracha. Just plenty of fresh basil, lime, and jalapeño. But this time I decided to add sauce because the broth was pretty flavorless. The meatball was old and had a spongy texture. I did not enjoy at all.

Phở Bien Hoa is a nice looking restaurant but the phở they served me was disappointing. I did not care for the flavor of the broth. It didn’t taste very good.

We came back to eat here only cause its the closest phở place but also better. My last review the wontons weren’t good they were burnt but now it taste how it supposed to be! Delicious as I remembered! Phở, it depends idk if there’s different cooks but sometimes you get one that’s good, okay and taste plain. But they’re doing better. I’d you order thai tea sometimes it doesn’t taste the same, depending who serves you it. Now the waiter and waitress there are on it with asking if you need anything else and doesn’t ignore you. It’s probably cause its not the same 2 people who didn’t do anything but stood there on their phones. I’m glad they weren’t there when we go in.

My last time here was 10 years ago. However, I’ve heard great things since the new owner took over so we decided to come try them out. The place now has a very nice interior, with an almost-too-romantic-to-bring-your-friends ambiance(…but I am sure that’s just me) Generally I like the thai tom yum and not so much the vietnamese tom yum but theirs is legit! The flavors were right on the money and the veggies are perfectly cooked, with a light crunch. Their Mi Ga Quay(roasted chicken noodle soup) is fantastic. The broth is better than most places I’ve been to and once the chicken is added, the broth comes out perfect. Though it lacks some chives for garnishing but what the hell, you can always ask. I have also sampled some of their phở broth and feel like it should not have that strong of a cinnamon aftertaste so I can’t say I approve of the broth. Their meatballs, on the other hand, were really really good. I can’t say I’ve had better meatballs, homemade or store bought. For drinks and desserts, I’ve tried their cold red bean dessert, mixed bean dessert, avocado smoothie and durian smoothie and they were all superb! Unlike a lot of places that either use artificial durian flavors for their smoothie or tell you they don’t have it, this place actually used fresh durian. Customer service here is extremely friendly and prompt. The new owner is a really friendly middle-aged Vietnamese lady. She always come to survey our experience and asked for suggestions and feedback. She also goes out of her way to cater to our needs. You will see me here, and often.

Sacré bleu… You mean to tell me after all this time in Salt Lake… I didn’t come here? What gives? For one, the sketchy parking lot; the awkward, almost hidden restaurant is like a true diamond amongst a lot(A LOT) of coal. I gave up on this place, before even trying and I deeply regret it. Luckily, I spend a fair amount of time west of Redwood and because of Unilocal,I found myself here, dying for an awesome lunch. From the start, I loved it! The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the restaurant, despite the aforementioned details, is actually way nice! I ordered a couple things(also pictured): the chicken Pad Thai, the Summer Rolls, and a bowl of rice. The food was incredible! There was so much I wanted to try but simply couldn’t… I was stuffed. Everything looks as good as it tastes and I really appreciate the price point. For everything included, I think it was all worth it. I just should not have waited this long for Phở Bien Hoa! I can already think of a couple people who love this type of food and would love a place like this, so I will be back for more! If you’re from out of town or are passing through the area, don’t make the same mistake I made and actually check it out!
