That vietnamese coffee was strong… com tam wasn’t bad, wished the egg cake was bigger. prefer chicken but it’s not too bad. Banh mi was nice and warm, the pastry looked freshy(quite heavy though). Opens early, so great to have early coffee!

I usually like ordering their combination sandwich but lately I feel like they changed some things or the sandwich is missing something for sure the bread is different last night I ate half the sandwhch and found 2 small plastic in the meat as I was chewing it not once but twice I don’t think that’s normal not only that but the quality of the food didn’t taste as fresh ether. I think the plastic was from cutting the pâté roll or cold cut meats and some of the pieces were stuck on the meat still. Anyways I will be back I really like coming here for quick snacks stop and what not especially for coffee to get my day going just hope to see a little bit improvement on the quality of the food next time.

It is my second time here today, I was come to there for the pâté choud. This morning, it seems a little busy there, the lady works at the counter, she is really mean, Terrible customer service, I think she might be the owner in the restaurant, I was kind disappointed at her. cause when I was first time there, she is friendly and patiently. but after today, I believe that I won’t go back there

I love all of the sides and snacks here. I used to visit a lot before Unilocal came around and forgot about this gem. Don’t hesitate to grab foods that are on display and wrapped. Banh Mi is amazing here. Not a big fan of the phở here, I do enjoy their beef stew though. Anyway dear Unilocalers, just a heads up. This is a heavily visited location for Vietnamese people. Don’t feel like an outsider. As a matter of fact, Maggie, who usually works the register speaks very good English, she’s awesome.

Place was really packed for breakfast, it is too bad the Phở tasted so greasy and was flavorless as I was really craving it and Phở Hoa wasn’t open that early. Their Banh Mi was decent, had a lot of bread and very little meat. I love Oh Mai’s sandwiches the best as they gut the bread and remove the excess so they can stack more meat and veggies in it. The chicken rice didn’t taste very fresh, it was if they cooked the chicken a day before and just heated it up in the microwave. Not sure I would go back.

I really like this place! The décor reminds me of a restaurant I’d find in Saigon. It’s not quite on point with the banh mi from Saigon or even SoCal, but it’s pretty good! Service has been good for me with workers who speak both Vietnamese and English. Tables are typically pretty clean and they have wi-fi! I do wish that their hours were a little later though, so I could really study here. Half the restaurant looks like they are still remodeling and the other other half is pretty spaced out. The banh mi($ 3.50) sandwiches are pretty basic but made to order! There’s a good variety of options to choose from. They charge extra for pâté(unless it’s already part of the sandwich, i.e. combination/dac biet). I’ve tried the egg banh mi with pâté and the combination banh mi – of the two, Jenney and I both preferred the combination by a long shot. The Vietnamese coffee(small, $ 2.80) here is STRONG! It’s sweet yet bitter and has a roasted nutty taste. It’s good but probably out of my caffeine level and believe me, I can usually handle a LOT of caffeine. I can see this being more along the preference of people who love authentic Vietnamese coffee that’s dark dark dark, especially my dad. Overall, I liked this place and will be back! Happy eatings! Tip 1: If you are going on a road trip, stop by here to get banh mi for the road! It makes the best road trip food! Tip 2: Pâté cost extra! Tip 3: There’s wi-fi! Bring your studies and buddies, my fellow scholars!

The sandwiches here are mediocre. They don’t use the traditional baguette sandwiches. I been here a few times for sandwiches but after my recent experience, I wont be coming back! I am very disappointed with the poor customer service this place has. I ordered 2 special sandwiches and 2 bbq pork. The cashier charged me .50 cents since I used a card. That’s fine. When I got my order, there was only 3 sandwiches and she apologized for leaving 1 sandwich out. That’s fine. But she rang me up for another one and told me I needed a minimum of $ 5 to run the transaction. even though it was her mistake. So I had to spent another $ 5 when she had messed up my order. Will not be coming back, I rather go down the street to hong phat market because they have the best VIet sandwiches in the area.

I’m a fan of this place. However, the quality of their Banh Mi can vary depending on the day and time of day. It can range from good to mind-blowing awesome. At the end of the day, expect the bread to be not as fresh. Of the banh mi options: — Tofu is a little bland(wish there was some lemon grass… like Lee’s sandwhiches in CA) — Egg = spectacular — Grilled chicken = also spectacular Their breads are very tasty and flaky. They have a special sauce that tastes really good(I’m afraid to ask what’s it’s made of). Sometimes it tastes a little lemon grassy. Overall, a great place for lunch. I wish their drinks would be a little less expensive because I definitely would try one if it were less than $ 3.

My friend and I ordered 3 different kinds of banh mi to share for dinner, which are combination, grilled pork, and grilled chicken. Among these 3, i liked grilled pork and chicken, would definitely recommand but not combination one. The sandwiches are only $ 3.50 each and they are the regular size you have at other sandwich shop. They taste great. Wolud definitey pay a second visit during lunch hour.

I came here because I’ve heard that the owner is OCD about keeping her kitchen clean. The restaurant décor can be best described as «basic.» No fancy froo froo table top finishes here. What you see is what you get… authentic, «home-style» Vietnamese food. The food looks amazing but I haven’t had a chance to try everything yet. Today, I ordered the bun bo hue because I haven’t had that soup in a very long time. It’s a spicy pork broth soup rich with noodles and various cuts of meat. If you’re new to bun bo hue, then ask them to omit the pig’s feet. Chances are that you probably won’t like it. I love pork and all parts of the pig but, even I can’t eat pig’s feet. It’s not so much because it’s a foot. It’s because it’s simply boiled. Pig’s feet, like your feet and chicken feet, are mostly bone, tendon, skin and fat. When those parts are boiled, the pig skin and other adjoining parts don’t get that amazing pork aroma and crunch you get from cooking with dry heat or oil. The flavor of the broth was pretty good. It’s not the best, I’ve had better in Las Vegas. If you can’t handle spicy at all, then tell the owner to make it WITHOUT any hot spice PERIOD. My White friend ordered the«mild» but it turned out to be more heat than mild. I think Asians and non-Asians have different definitions for«mild» so ask for the spicy stuff on the side and add it yourself, just to be on the safe side. Their bun bo hue broth is a little bit on the oily side but not as bad as other places. Removing oil from animal based soup stock is a time consuming process and I doubt many restaurants do this. Overall, I’d give their bun bo hue 3.5 stars. It’s pretty good for being in Utah but not 4 – 5 star quality like you could get in Las Vegas. I also tried their sugar cane drink and it was interesting and different. I wouldn’t order it again, but that’s just me. They added lemon to it and it almost tasted like lemonade… but«off». My White friend from Brazil ordered this drink as well and said it is nothing like Brazilian sugar cane drink. It’s hard to describe. So, I say, order it and try it once. It doesn’t hurt to try it… who knows, you might like it! They also have phở, bun(rice noodle), rice dishes and of course, banh mi. In addition, they have a fairly good selection of Vietnamese desserts, but nothing like the«candy store like» dessert cafes you can find in Las Vegas or SoCal. I can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes.

I’m Vietnamese and this is the best Banh mi I have ever had! Fantastic and friendly customer service Clean and nice place Super delicious banh mi. As a Vietnamese I have had many banh mi in my lifetime… this is probably the best I have had. Try the grilled chicken banh mi $ 3.50…you will not be disappointed. Phở dac biet was also very good… tasted homemade and I tasted real phở flavor and not msg. Portion was large For snacks, try their banh tieu and pâté chaud They also sell sugar cane juice All pastries and items are made fresh in house I am so glad we found this place and will definitely be back!!!

The baguette is small and too dry when we got it. Taste is great, but I wish they’d give more meat.

Sugarcane quite sweeter than normal. Banh mi was fair. I’ve had better. Their prepackaged foods are neat, but it’s not that greatly made. Their Vietnamese coffee was strong, which is good. The atmosphere is nice but quite confusing. It’s an order and sit down type of place with tables along with a stage/lounge on the other side. This place can get busy with loud, rude Asians on certain days though. Overall this is an okay place. Nothing I would crave to go back to though.

After a group meeting, I had the choice to go to my internship early and be miserable or go eat breakfast alone. The decision was a pretty tough one. Yeah no not really. If there is one lesson from reading my post today is that food always wins. Thao Mi was here before the banh mi scene took Utah over by storm. Before you walk in you will see Vietnamese people smoking outside, when you plug your nose and walk through the doors, you will hear vietnamese music playing, vietnamese people chatting away, and vietnamese people drinking their vietnamese coffee, which by the way is made the right way(more bitter than sweet). This scene is one that resembles the culture that you will find if you were in The country of Vietnam yourself at a café. No one is in a rush, it’s about doing everything when you are doing nothing. Now onto the food, the owner started making her own housemade baguettes a month ago. The baguettes were store bought before and wasn’t too bad but the quality of the bread now, bumps this banh mi shop to a class of it own. If you are a CARBLOVER come here for the bread. Today I had a deconstructed banh mi trung op la(sunnyside eggs with liver pâté). Seriously the lightest, flakiest, most remarkable carb ever with the combination of silky egg yolk on top of the fattiness and rich pâté. If you are not a banh mi fan, they have tons of other housemade traditional Vietnamese snacks that are displayed at the cashier counter. This place doesn’t make it to 5 stars due to the smell of the smoke that sometimes sneaks through the door and it’s unreasonable cold inside the shop today. –Sailor out

We came here on a Sunday afternoon with a party of six. Awesome time. We ordered things all over the menu and everything was fantastic and prices are great. They will make a great vegetarian Phở on request though its not on the menu. It is made with beef broth if your hard cor vegan.sorry. Spring rolls are awesome with shrimp and a really great thin sliced pork and the peanut sauce is unique… really good. The owner lady was very accommodating and checked on us several times to make sure our food was perfect for everyone. We will be back to try more for sure.

Breakfast Phở!!! I love any place that I can get good phở from right when I wake up. Excellent broth to noodle ratio, on the broth I could tell this has got to get better with time, next time around I may have to go for dinner.

The first time I’ve tried this place a friend of my cousin said it’s the best! But it wasn’t. They don’t give you a lot of stuff in your Banh Mi or Phở, like they give you less. So it doesn’t fullfill me at all!
