Wendy’s

First off, I waited in line for 27 minutes before ordering my food. There wasn’t very many people in line either. When I got my food there was a nugget missing and the people were rude when we told them about it. I also saw the crew and manager being rude to people when they messed up their order. Someone needs to teach this whole crew customer service.

Just stopped for a quick bite. Long wait at the kiosk. Then our burgers were cold and mushy. Bad kitchen oversight. Attendant was pleasant however. We will not return.

Some unfortunate mis-​management makes for some very lengthy lines at mealtimes. One breath of fresh air is an effervescent counter service employee who brings such smiles and helpfulness to their job that they can’t possibly be paying them enough. I don’t know if it’s Wendy’s in general or just this location that has up’d the ante on fast food French fries, they’re fresh and crispy — bravo!

After 6 hours of driving, alas, we end up at Wendy’s. service was great, food was better than usual. Excited about hitting the slopes later. I got the .99 cent chicken sanwich, and was surprised that it was actually really good :) hubs loved the chilli. Their raspberry honest tea was a great choice. And the frosty. Oh the frosty. Nom nom nom.

Wendy’s have started to go into decline across America if this and the one we visited in Cortez are a gauge of that. The initial ordering process in Drive Thru was fair, the gal taking our order kept trying to rush me. Ended every repeat back with «is that all?» questions and then when we got to the window, even after she read the order back the way I said it got it wrong. We had to place another order at the window. Then the gal tells me they have had a really rushed day and could she give me a roll of quarters as she couldn’t make change for the 20 I gave her in cash. This was on the second order so we luckily had a smaller bill so I didn’t have to run around with a roll of quarters. Funny thing is, when we pulled over to check our order and dole out the food I could hear the next poor sap in line getting the same story.
The food was okay but not hot and fresh. The burgers were overcooked and the chili was lukewarm. If we ever go back through Taos again, Wendy’s is off my list of fast food places to go to.

You’d think a fast food restaurant could get french fries right. NOT here. Some were so overcooked they were crispy. The chili salad (yes, hot chili poured over iceberg) was flavorless. Don’t bother. I should have shelved my desire to eat healthy and gotten a large Frosty. Alas.

I hit the drive thru and had a terrible experience. The clerk tried dumping my coin change on top of the bills and when I complained he didn’t provide a knife for my baked potato. I wound up throwing it away. I’ll never return to such a poorly run restaurant!
