Delicious! Great selection of burgers, fries and beers(and ciders); Also has gluten free options! Definitely a must if you’re passing through town, very cozy and doc friendly patio!

A place that goes by «The Burger Stand» should have fresh local beef, not frozen patties from Kansas. If you take a good look at the patty it is low quality beef formed into a party by a machine. Pretty disappointing! The other food was ok. The Romesco vegan burger was 5⁄5. The drinks and service was 4 out of 5. But the burger, not so much.

Good beer and atmosphere but staff seemed aloof, pleasant enough, but uninterested. I was disappointed in the chili burger. It was way undercooked and you could tell it was a pre-frozen Patty. Fries and sauces were good!

Awesome bar/tavern burger spot. It’s located towards the end of Taos on your way towards Questa. It has a tiny area for parking, but you can park further down and walk to it. They have outdoor seating so it’s dog friendly. Awesome staff and great food. A group a 2 or 3 can share a basket of fries. They have several flavors to choose from as well. I was disappointed in the prices. It cost ~$ 9 for a cheeseburger without any sides. I feel that’s a steep price just for a burger. The burger was supposed to be well done and came out a medium well with a little pink left inside. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was juicy and good. They have other items on the menu, but not much since it is a small place. They have beer on tap and you order at the front and find a table and they will bring your food to you. Even though I knew the prices were high I wanted to try it anyways and it was a great experience. Good food and good atmosphere made my trip enjoyable and I would like to try some other flavors of fries, like the Cajun next time I have a hankering for some in Taos.

Food is(pretty) good, but not worth the wait or the service. When my friend and I visited staff seemed to make a point to show how little they cared about our business by their tone of voice, their body language and their actions. My server was(funny I know) INTENSELY reluctant to accept my order for Ginger Ale because it involved a special trip outside. I patiently waited as she took another three customers, then I wisely changed my order to a root beer. With all due respect the quality of the burger at «The Burger Stand,» does not even come close to Five Star Burger down the road where you have the added benefit of servers who are genuinely nice to customers. If «The Burger Stand,» would change their name to «Halfway Decent but Generally Not Great Beer With Good People You Know From Town,» sure, i’d keep going there, but I think I have better things to do with my money from now on.

Great vibe. Great food. Great bartender. Kinda strange for a bar to be so family friendly but that didnt take away from the experience

I had a really fun time at the Taos Ale House. I stopped in on my first night in town and felt like I’d stumbled upon the local watering hole. There was a great bluegrass band playing, and everyone was hanging out having a good time. I was easily able to get the bartender’s attention for a beer despite the crowd, and overall the atmosphere was very vibrant and enjoyable. One thing to note is that this is *not* a brewery. They don’t make their own beer, which is something I was expecting. They do, however, have a great selection of craft brews to choose from. I had eaten a light dinner prior to arriving, so I didn’t have the appetite for a burger(unfortunately) but I did decide on a hot dog for a late-night snack. It was delicious. It seems like they make their own fixins(ketchup, relish, etc.) because they were super tasty! This is definitely somewhere I will return to given the opportunity. Burgers and beers are always a great way to close out a long day on the trails or the slopes. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend putting Taos Ale House on your ‘to do’ list.

Was looking forward to trying this place after a long drive from Houston. Was going to order a beer with my 23 year old son and enjoy the place until our party would join us later for dinner. Unfortunately the bartender would not serve my grown, 23 year old, a beer because his TX Drivers license was vertical instead of horizontal.(In Texas, the morons at TXDOT set the expiration date of the vertical version until you are 23) He claimed«his boss wouldnt allow it because there are so many fakes». So every person under 23 from Texas must be refused? It seemed to me to be a convenient way to let me know that this was a locals hangout, and we were definitely not welcomed. Fortunately there are many other places willing to take my $.

Dank burgers, awesome selection of beer, and super friendly and fast service. I wish I caught our bartenders name: but she had a cute blonde haircut and was really helpful. The chipotle Cocoa Ketchup was seriously the best ketchup ever! Who would’ve thought you could add depth to ketchup? Don’t miss this place!

Beyond impressed with this little gem! I’d recommend the ½ Falafel with a quinoa arrugula salad. And to wash it down a nice pecan ale. The atmosphere is always great!

Loved the food here! I ordered the Barnyard bash and my husband ordered the smoke burger as well as a small Cajun fry. We couldn’t finish the fries even with sharing. The condiment choices were a great extra. We came on a busy weekend and tables were scarce. My husband ended up standing for the majority of the meal due to lack of chairs but I still chose to give five stars because we both still had a great experience here.

Great burger and some good selection of beers. The green chile burger was exceptional, and the fries were freshly made. Good place to grab a bite or come for late-night special.

I head to Taos every now and then to bum around and visit some friends from the pueblo. I’m not a big drinker so I usually skip out on the bars, but on a whim stopped in with a buddy of mine. It took a minute to get drinks, but those sitting at the bar were more than happy to shove you to the front(in a good way, they weren’t all weird about people standing behind them trying to order), and I have to be fair in sharing that we were there on a cold, cold Saturday night so the crowd was what to be expected. A little blue grass band was rockin and we found a spot in the back by the pool table. After a few drinks we were invited to play a game for a little money, winnings we used to get a burger and fries. Food was fantastic! So good, it ended my ability to consume any more beer. While I’m not from Taos, I wasn’t looking for an overly touristy experience. There seemed to be a lot of people from the area which I always enjoy. We had some great conversation from some interesting people and I will absolutely be back.

Got the green chile burger and sweet potato fries… they were amazing!!! Such delicious tastes in my mouth! Perfectly cooked and tender, great seasoning on the fries, and multiple dipping sauces to try out! Really hit the spot!

I had a great lunch today. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. Whitney served me at the bar and was attentive and knowledgable about all the beers on tap. The corn dog I ordered was hand dipped and delicious! They also have truffle fries and duck fat French fries! I will be back for sure. This place is great!

All four stars are going to the quinoa arugula salad(vegan too)! The toasted quinoa and almonds tossed with the peppery arugula, apricots, and pickled onions complemented each other so well. It took awhile to get service at the counter(who knew a later Sunday evening dinner in Taos would be so bumping?) Husband enjoyed a small order of the falafel, which we discovered upon delivery was still a giant pita stuffed with falafel, arugula, pickled onions, and(too much) Tzatziki sauce. Very reasonable prices and great beer list. Downside: the TV was super loud(granted, it was showing Sunday Night Football). Definitely a must visit for craft beer fans.

Maybe the best hamburger I have ever eaten. That is not hyperbole. Love that The Burger Stand at Taos Ale House elevates bar food by adding all kinds of options for dressing up your burger, and even some pretty interesting veggie options for the non-meat eater in your life. I ordered the«smoke» burger and loved the way the chipotle ketchup and bacon mingled to create the perfect pairing-spicy, smoky and sweet. Hubby ordered the Spicy Shiitake, which comes with habanero cream cheese, arugula & avocado. He was literally sweating from the cream cheese, but that didn’t stop him from finishing the whole thing! In addition, the truffle fries are TODIEFOR! They were saturated with truffle oil, loaded with parm and«When Harry Met Sally» restaurant scene good. Word to the wise-If you’re coming from a lower elevation, be sure to drink plenty of water because the salt in the food + altitude will leave you with a bit of a hungover, headachy feeling. Will definitely come back next time we’re in Taos and would recommend to anyone who visits.

This joint has a great selection of local beers in a cool atmosphere. They definitely provide a more gourmet twist on pub grub. They have a full sauce bar including other garnishes you may want for a burger or fries. The sauces were tasty and unique. The burgers at the table were piled high on brioche buns and filled with a perfectly grilled patty. I had the felafel, which was just ok. The tzatzki sauce was great. Perhaps their claim to fame is that they are sauce wizards. The duckfat fries were ok but the sweet potato fries were stellar. Especially dipped in their assorted sauces, the fries really lit up my taste buds. I’d come back fo sho.

This place had been on my mind all day. My family and I hiked to Wheeler Peak, with full intention of scarfing down a burger at Taos Ale House as soon as we were finished. I’m happy to say the experience was very gratifying! From the outside you can see the outdoor seating on a covered patio, always a positive for any place serving beer and burgers. When you walk in, we were quickly approached by the bartender who asked if we had been here before. A few of us had, but she still was kind and told us how to order(you order at the bar and get a playing card to signify where to bring the food out to). The burger choices were pretty good, I got the Kobe burger but really wanted to try the Green Chile Cheeseburger as well as their Classic. Next time! I had to get the side of fries as well, which I later found out was an excellent choice! To wash it all down I got the Farmer’s Tan Red Ale which I have had before and knew it would do the trick. While you wait for your burgers to be cooked, you can go grab some really unique and cool condiments at the condiment bar so you’re all ready for food devouring. The burgers came out and I was so hungry I forgot to get a picture of mine, d’oh! It was pretty sexy though and I couldn’t wait for my first bite. Cooked exactly like they said, with great toppings and that special Kobe taste that I was hoping for. That burger didn’t last long and I made sure to enjoy every bite! The surprise of the lunch though? The fries! Get the fries! I got the regular fries which were out of this world and my wife got the truffle fries which I was in love with as well. You can’t go wrong with these fries so make sure you get at least a side, if not a whole order of them by themselves! Taos Ale House did exactly what I was hoping it would. Filled me up, quenched my thirst, and made me want to come back as soon as I can!
