Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It was apparent there was a problem the minute we walked in. We called another restaurant for reservations while waiting on our appetizer. We left after appetizers and drinks. We reserved for 7 for my mothers birthday and brought a cake with us. They told us they were not going to give us our cake back. I had to threaten to call the police for my mothers birthday cake.

What a gem! So happy we stumbled upon this place. Our room was great, near the courtyard, where our dog could play. It was peaceful & quiet. Loved the feel of New Mexico all around. Breakfast was really good; just don’t forget to bring your breakfast vouchers! My husband got some attitude, from a guy that works there, for not having his.

We stayed here for one night last week for a business trip. We wish we could have stayed longer! Our room was huge and had a fireplace and a second door that opened to a patio and a lovely view of the landscape to the west. The room was clean. Bed was super comfy. We enjoyed a fire before bed and ate the best french toast for breakfast. The traditional adobe architecture is simply beautiful. The front desk clerk was very friendly and allowed us to check in early so I could prepare for my meeting. Very pleased! We will stay again.

This may not be a 5 star inn, but they are a 5 star accommodation. The rooms are eclectic, cute, and comfortable. I can’t begin to Rave enough about the staff. From the professionalism of the front desk, to the sweet, hard working dining room gal, to the amazingly honest maintenance crew.(I left my irreplaceable ray bans by the hot tub. He found them and turned them in.) The free breakfast was perfect. It could be as light or heavy as you want. Fresh fruit to French Toast. We’ve traveled a fair amount and this is one of my favoriteplaces to stay yet.

I stayed here for three days with a few friends for spring break so we could ski. The hotel is pretty big, and is located about 35 minutes from Taos ski valley. It really wasn’t a bad drive you just basically go straight the whole way. The breakfast every morning is awesome! They switch it up between pancakes, French toast, bacon and ham everyday. Including a wide variety of breakfast foods. They have two hot tubs that are spacious and nice open until 9 every night. The front desk ladies are there 24⁄7 and are pretty friendly. Also you get a discount from adventure ski rentals if you stay here. The hotel beds were comfy and we even had a balcony. They actually had some good tv channels to watch. Overall good stay!

Thanks for a great stay, Sagebrush. –Received complimentary upgrade to a suite when I requested double beds and they were out. –Breakfast was delicious and the staff was FANTASTIC. So nice and helpful. –Amenities were good. TVs, beds, shower all fine. –Only bummer was that the indoor hot tub wasn’t working, but the two others on site worked just fine! –Nice to have a bar on site for a hotel a few miles out of town.

Authentic! This is such a great New Mexico experience. The oldest part of the hotel was built in 1920’s. It has a real Spanish colonial vibe including a courtyard behind the main part of the hotel(beautifully lit at night). The one king room was large with a sitting area sound the wood fire place. Wood provided every day. Finally the food was an unexpected bonus. To serve breakfast when they are not busy. Diner was great too! Lamb stew was out of this world! I ate at the cute bar area.

Our first time in Taos, this was such a pleasant stay. This is a historic inn which gives it charm. The restaurant/bar area had a wonderful band playing, everyone was having a great time dancing, eating, and drinking. The room was rustic and old school. No frills, but that’s the appeal. Felt historic and fit right into the area. The breakfast included was great and authentic with their awesome chili sauces with great staff. Eggs, sausages, oatmeal, cereal, coffee and Maritsa over the phone to get us a room on the full capacity town on New Year’s Day was so sweet and great.

We came here for my birthday on NYE. We had reservations at a nearby Italian restaurant. Needless to say we left after and hour plus unhappy and hungry. We we got back to our hotel Sagebrush Inn and explained what happened to waitstaff. The dining room was reservation only with a wonderful pre set menu for the holiday. The employees went out of the way to accommodate us and got us a table, excellent service and even a piece of bday cake at the end! Food was amazing and so was the service. This really turned a crumbling NYE into one of the most memorable. The band even sang Happy Birthday to me at the end of the night. So thank you to the employees working that weekend and for understanding what customer service is all about!

Luckily we didn’t stay here for our trip. However we went there for Thanksgiving dinner as this is very popular for their dinner and it’s one of few places open. Awful experience. We made a reservation and they tell us they are 20 mins behind on reservations, okay, but then we go check in 30 mins later, they were then 30+ mins behind and they were out of items. We put in our order to go, got it pretty quickly, however didn’t bother telling us our thanksgiving dinner wasn’t going to have what was on the Menu as they were out of sides. They also didn’t bother telling us they were out of gravy. The customer service was a bit lacking and they were complaining when they should have been better prepared for a holiday meal.

Moving across country took its toll on us. When I was searching for places to stay while in Taos New Mexico, The Sagebrush Inn was at the top of our list. A good find, well within our price range. Onsite perfect accommodations, was pet friendly, and offered a great breakfast. Our room was rustic and right near a hot tub and cool courtyard. This was my first time in Taos and somewhere that I will definitely return too; When that time comes, I will definitely be staying here. p. s. if you run into a John Dylan, have him contact me. Interesting Character who likes to talk :)

My husband and i got away from the daily grind and spent the weekend in Taos New Mexico. We stayed at sagebrush inn. It was very cool. We stayed in the executive suite. It was the size of a small apartment. The room was secluded and comfortable. It had a king size bed in the main bedroom, two large bathrooms, two spacious closets a small dining area, and a queen size murphy bed in the living room. We had a nice balcony too! All for $ 219.00 a night, it was a steal. We also had a free buffet breakfast thats included for all who stay at the hotel. Live music on Saturday nights, a bar and a restaurant. There were alot of seniors who were staying there also because there was a bridge tournament. Everyone there was so friendly!

Older hotel/motel style good value for money. Cable was spotty kept going in and out for the two days we stayed. While it is relatively close to the plaza Traffic is very congested getting their expect delays and leave early if we need go down town.

I stayed for three days last year at the Sagebrush Inn and liked it so much I stayed another three days this summer and booked the same room I’d stayed in before – a suite, really, with a kitchenette and a large room with a patio facing the west mesa and an adobe-style corner fireplace. The only reason I’m giving the Sagebrush 4 stars instead of 5 is that my room was not ready way past the time it was promised and the room they gave me had no refrigerator. When a man from maintenance brought a refrigerator, it was too large for its space. By then my original choice of room was ready and I moved there, and all was well after that. The price is reasonable considering Taos is a prime destination in New Mexico.

Good sized room. Double king with a fireplace. I thought wow this is a neat place when we first arrived. Room had a bit of a stinch to it and there was absolutely no water pressure to take a shower. Its over a mile from downtown but thats my fault for not looking before booking. Restraunt inhouse is terrible. Our waitress acted pissed the whole time. I ordered the king cut prime rib. Looked amazing but tasted like pot roast… Wife got a ribeye that you couldnt cut with a chainsaw. This place gets 3 stars because it was cheap and not a complete rathole like most in taos.

This hotel experience is extremely uneven, a hodgepodge of old and new, of unique delights and jarringly unacceptable failures. It has a large, traditional two story older colonial-Spanish section with verandas built around two courtyards, and old trees and grass that is just about perfect. Some of the old public rooms have thick adobe walls and pine log ceilings that are beautiful and harmonious. These authentic features are things you can’t buy. But the property may be cash-strapped because maintenance has fallen sadly behind, and cheap«fixes» are visible often with an unpleasant«ad hoc» feel. The beamed dining room is chopped up into small rooms, our table was quite tilted, and old duct tape covered the missing window latch. The restaurant men’s room was unacceptable — tiny, tucked in a corner, unclean, with uncapped pipes sticking out from the wall. The new wing Is more modern but seems less charming — an outdoor pool filled with happy kids & grownups, surrounded on three sides by hotel rooms. Overall, this place has loads of potential but is way overdue for a makeover.

They are updating this place, but even without the update, this is a very nice place. The staff is spectacular, from management to maintenance everyone is helpful and polite. The food is very good and the price is right. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Taos, NM. There is free wi-fi, but it is not very strong. There is free breakfast buffet and a nice bar and restaurant. There are two hot tubs and a pool and loads of trails to take a walkabout. They are also pet friendly and staff just couldn’t be better.

Stayed here on May 22nd on a holiday weekend road trip with Taos as one of the destinations. We were also traveling with our dog. The hotel was very dog friendly and hooked us up with a room in a building that allowed dogs. It was clean and super large. The hotel was nice, the service was always prompt and helpful, even helping with some area suggestions. The breakfast was very good and loved the egg’s with green chili! The GM of the hotel made rounds during breakfast and chatted with guests, made sure everything was going well. There was a Porsche group staying there at that time so was fun to walk around the parking lot and check out some of the cars. Would stay here again.

NONONONO!!! We checked in. They were WAY overbooked and someone was already occupying the room. They changed us to another room. The bed was covered with blood or wine and roses. Clearly not a place one would want to stay. Finally they cleaned a room and we were set to stay there. That room was mediocre at best. The manager called and gave us an «upgrade». By upgrade I mean a room one might find at a Hampton in. It was awful. Loud, poorly laid out, dim. I could easily hear the fifteen idiots upstairs as they tromped back and forth and back and forth until well after midnight and then again at 6:30 a.m. You’re way better off at a B&B or rent a condo from VRBO. Yuck. Skip this place.
