The shrimp tacos are not as good as they were couple years ago. Very disappointed. Not sure if they changed their recipe or didn’t cook down the tomatoes to coat the shrimp.

I have dinner here with some regularity. This is Mexican food, not New Mexican food, so know that first. I usually order the pork chimichangas, and have a couple of roasted jalapenos from the condiment bar. The cooks at this place are capable of keeping up with a swarm of diners, so do not be discouraged if you have to wait in a line to order. Food has always been fresh, hot and quick.

I am giving this place 1 star only because there isn’t zero or half star. The food is horrible and the restaurant is not clean. I’m wondering if the health department has ever even checked on it. The silverware is in a bin and you get it yourself. None of the utensils are going in the same direction, so you touch everyone else’s. The food is horrible. If they get your order wrong, don’t expect them to fix it. Taco Bell is fine dining compared to this place!

ick! This place is gross. The Salsa and guac are from a jar and I am not sure where the rest of it came from. The service is not much better than the food. $ 51.00 for 2 adults and 2 kids without any alcohol and the food quality was on par with a really bad fast food restaurant. When our nachos were missing beans they just slapped a ladle of runny refried beans on top and called it fixed… reminded me of something an angry lunch lady would do. The restrooms are disgusting too! My suggestion is… if this is the only place open and you have no other choices, you should go hungry till breakfast.

Been eating here for years — love the fajitas — very different from Tex-Mex; enjoy the hot(ish) jalapeños on the side and the quick service —

Being from New Mexico, and having hit all the best places in the state, this place caught us both by surprise. Very authentic, family owned and run. The barbacao was outstanding! Lots of food for the money, super laid back basic interior with a patio, this place was great, and I mean AUTHENTIC!!!

I might be a little biased, because I live not too far away. But I love the chili verde and I love the spicy calamari and I can’t get enough of the jalapenos and limes with a little bit of salt! I would give it 5 stars but there’s no booze so it gets for four 4

Quick and good! Shrimp tacos are my favorite. Fish tacos are also very good and the veggie & chicken burrito is also very good. They have homemade salsa which has a tiny kick but very good. This place is a good quick meal that you don’t feel too guilty about, ha! The restrooms are clean and kept but the walk to get to it is almost a joke. It is attached to a car wash and you have to get to the car washes restroom. Not a big deal but could be for people that have a bit of a hard time walking a far distance. I will definitely be back for the shrimp tacos!

Seriously sooooo delicious. I stopped in today after being told by some locals how good it is. I ordered chips, salsa, chicken fajitas and a corona light. Fresh ingredients, made to order. Very clean inside and friendly staff.

Killed me some Mexican food and then killed me some trout while I was in Taos for a camping trip. Bam! The food was good but I’m really use to the good ol Texmex I get. I was hungry and this place did the job for me. I got the special plate of the day. Carne avocado. The pork meat was a little on the tough side. And the presentation on the messy side. I couldn’t helped notice that my friend hated his huevos dish. I bet he got my dish instead.

This place is amazing. We come here every year on vacation. They have great fresh tacos very traditional Mexican food. The margaritas are tasty as well. They have Mexican coke(as well as fountain coke) if you want a real sugar soda. This seems like food truck Mexican tacos I have gotten in other states. I have never had a bad meal here.

The local seem to think this is great Mexican food. It may be, but it’s not quality Mexican food. The taco meat is tough and taste like that I suppose because he cow suffered. I gave it to stars because I think it’s really mediocre although the shrimps(camarones) al diablo were tasty. the tres leches was a presentation never seen before with whipped cream & chocolate sauce.

The Azteca quesadilla is delicious and large enough to feed my mother, my daughter and I. The restaurant is cafeteria style, which is a little odd, but seems to work. The carnitas tacos were ok, but thing to write home about. The bathroom is really far away from the restaurant, so don’t wait until the last minute!

Surprisingly Good As best we could figure out, there are 2 of these restaurants in Taos. We called the southern one and there was a 45 minute wait. So we called the northern one and they said that we could come right in. It is located in a strip mall and it is pretty large inside. The program is to order and pay at a counter and they’ll deliver it to your table. The servers don’t do much for you after that and you have to grab one just to get a water refill. The food was really good. We had 2 different shrimp dishes and they were both great. I would like to try more of the menu.

Friendly and accommodating staff. You place your order and they serve the food. Food was very tasty and descent prices. I did think the rice and beans were a bit bland though.

Food is really good. This is a sit down restaurant but they don’t do table service. You pay at the counter and they bring it to you. They have beer, wine margaritas, and sodas. Their tacos are really good. The Azteca quesadilla is really good too. Nice outdoor seating area also.

Not impressed with the incredibly bland rice and beans. Barbacoa was ALLFAT! My husband’s steak was good though. I would not return given the price for mediocre food!

A trip to Taos must include an outing for dinner at the Guadalajara Grill! Several years ago we were coming into Taos from the north and were looking for a place to grab a bite and then crash at the hotel. The food was wonderfully fresh and the service was perfect, it was exactly what we needed at the end of a long road trip from Enid, Ok. Now lunch or dinner at the Guadalajara Grill is a tradition that we look forward too every time we go to Taos!
