STAYAWAY. If I could give it negative stars I would. Refused to allow our 8 year old daughter to use the restroom(told us to go outside) than told us our reservation made several weeks before was no longer available. Proved our reservation, but told good luck in finding another room. Bad place!

This place was terrible. Worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life! The furniture in the room was extremely dirty. Seriously, I will never stay here again. It is worth spending a few extra bucks to avoid this place.

This place was«OK». The room was not very clean when we checked in. There was a tennis ball and soda can under the bed. In terms of toiletries, there was only one shampoo bottle. The towels were very thin and well-worn. The toilet also didn’t flush well. The upside was that the bed was nice and firm. However, many pillows were lumpy. Continental breakfast was more like a One State Breakfast. Coffee wasn’t bad and the location was good.

Worst customer service, front desk was rude and completely unhelpful!!! The room smelled and was very out of date. Breakfast was a joke, poor selection and cheap food. I will never stay in this disgusting hotel again !!! I would suggest that people consider staying some where else before they stay here!!!

If you’re not a picky annoying whining person like some of the people that have posted here the hotel is fine. We are mt bikers that came to ride angelfire and found this hotel 30min away… it’s cheap comfortable and convenient especially in a town with a population of 13000. If you’re in a pinch it’s a no brainer.

I’m not a complainer– I’m really not. Paying 55 bucks a night for a hotel that would allow me to bring my dog, I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. However, this hotel is a total dive. The outside is run down and needs painting and the rooms are musky and severely outdated. I did enjoy that the bed was nice and firm and, for the most part, the room was clean. But, a previous poster was correct– there is no one at the front desk, which is pretty unprofessional. I stayed for 2 nights and the entire time I was there, there were maybe 1 or 2 cars. This hotel needs some serious work if it is going to stay open. I honestly contemplated checking out early, but I had prepaid and there aren’t a lot of dog friendly options. Next time, I’m going to try the Whitten Inn down the road. It is a little closer into town and looks a lot nicer from the outside. They also allow pets and have an indoor heated pool and hot tub, I believe.

Stayed a week, yes, a week there. It is a clean bed, warn room and hot water. If all you are doing is sleeping there, perfectly fine. It was $ 55.00 a night at Christmas in Taos. I did not expect a lot and did not get much. Issues: The front desk is not attended other than when someone is nearby. It is completely closed from evening till 7:00 a.m. if you are lucky. Breakfast is also always late, but most of the basics are unlocked so the guests just set up everything except the waffles. Bathroom light was out for two days. The second time I brought this up to the really sweet girl at the desk, she explained that the man would get mad if she told him about too many repairs. It finally got fixed on day 3. I saw other guests with ripped towels and another with a smoke detector in his hand, not sure the issue. TV was Direct TV, but only a few of the stations worked and that varied from day to day. Internet was also spotty and did not work well in the evenings when everyone was on it. Asked the couple that cleaned the rooms to change the sheets after day four. You would have thought I wanted to steal something, but they eventually changed the sheets.

ICK! The room smelled of BO upon entering. I had planned on camping but it started raining and i did not have adequate gear. I later got a can of Lysol and sprayed the surfaces and left the window open to air out. There was a sign above the air conditioner on which setting to use or not use so it wouldn’t freeze up. when I turned it on, very mildewy smell filled the room so i left it off. It was quiet enough during the night so i slept fine but very cautiously. I lifted the sheets to make sure there weren’t any creatures lurking underneath. There is a continental breakfast offered in the morning consisting of coffee and waffles. I saw a couple trying to make the waffles but it kept sticking to the griddle so they were attempting to peel it off with a fork so really it didn’t come out as a waffle but a pile of crumbs.

Do not pre-pay through . Miscommunication between in terms of room rate and pet fees. Overcharged at desk, but worked out in the end. Poor wireless internet access. Skype chat crapped out.
