Doubletree by Hilton Tampa Airport – Westshore

A fantastic experience, with an incredible staff. We’d actually checked into Extended Stay America, when the power went out (we left after waiting in the pitch black for an hour!). We frantically booked another hotel since we had to be up at 5:30am for a flight. The staff at Doubletree were so friendly and sympathetic (and even gave us a voucher for a drink at the bar to take the edge off of our last experience!)
Super duper comfy bed, wish we could have lounged at the pool. Will def book next time we are in Tampa.

This is perhaps the worst Doubletree I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re a Hilton Honors member and on the 5^th floor don’t expect anything a cheaper no name hotel can’t give you. The room was outdated and wasn’t clean. The bathtub clearly was not cleaned before my stay… there was hair in the tub and it just looked dirty. I felt so gross getting into the shower (that’s obviously the opposite of what a shower should make you feel.)
There was no mini fridge in the room.
The bed was uncomfortable.
The valet staff is incredibly rude.
The restaurant downstairs was slow and the food sucked.
The HH wifi In the room was slow, hard to get any work done.
It’s actually hurting my brain having to write such a bad review.

Exceptional service.
The staff was super friendly.
The food was pretty good as far as hotels go.
And easily accessible from wherever Tampa hotspots take you. ;-)
Stay here!

Clean, very friendly people. No hassle for checking or checking out. Breakfast was good. Staff is very friendly. Players Bar is located properly, open till late. Room was clean and cold. Oh and you get a cookie at check in which that in itself is worth it lol. Overall great experience. Recommend it if traveling to Tampa

Hotel rooms are extremely outdated. Older furniture. Small tv. Wall covering on walls. Very small bathroom. Old tub. Old toilet. Most of the grout in the bathroom is literally black. There are wayyyyy too many options in the area to ever stay at this hotel again. (Stayed here one night on business.)

This past weekend, my boyfriend and I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Tampa Airport — Westshore. We would personally like to thank Marcell at the front desk for making our experience so delightful! His charisma was quite welcoming and his service was superb. Marcell was extremely accommodating and provided us with many perks for staying at this facility. He upgraded our stay from a king size standard room to a king size suite and provided us with diamond status complimentary breakfast vouchers.
Although being given free upgrades was awfully generous, what really stood out was Marcell’s actions during our stay. He called our room to check in on us to see whether everything was in good standing and if we needed anything. Furthermore, when we came back from an evening out, we found a personal postcard from Marcell showing appreciation of our stay and to reach out to him if we ever needed anything. Marcell is a prime example of 5-​star service!
We will definitely come back to stay at this hotel next time we are in Tampa! Thank you Doubletree and especially Marcell for making our stay so lovely!

I visited recently to attend a mixed martial arts event (WCFL) that some of my brother-in-law’s students participated in. The space where the event was held was perfect for this type of event… not too small, not too fancy. The staff was very courteous and attentive, and the common areas were clean enough.
I happened to visit one the standard guest rooms, and this one was a little old and outdated (beds, flooring, and furniture were all in need of replacing), and it felt damp and the view from the room was awful (tar rooftops below and I-​275 on the horizon). I would never purposely stay here overnight.
