After going to the aquarium to break up the monotony of this research conference, I needed ice cream. My craving for ice cream was stronger than a 5 year old’s ice cream craving after hearing Mr. Softee’s tune. I quickly threw a stone cold stunner on a large run raisin ice cream cup. Heavenly! I don’t know if it was the craving or the ice cream or the heat but I inhaled this ice cream fast enough get at least 4 brain freezes… so worth it. As I ate this ice cream from the Gods, I kept thinking«will this last me until we get back to the hotel?» It didn’t. It didn’t last past the trolley stop and I’m ok with that. Praise Santa!

Just ordered here and was disappointed with my birthday cake remix ice cream. The brownie was entirely too big and took over the whole dessert-making it overly sweet. I love cold stone, but not getting this sundae again. It might be wise to ask the staff how much of the toppings they put ahead of time so you are not surprised.

I’ve first come to Cold Stone Creamery based on recommendation of a coworker this summer. I’ve since been back 5 times and I always walk away satisfied. I love their special waffle cone and my favorite ice cream so far is there lychee one.

Cold stone ice cream is as yummy as always! This location is great as a highlight to a so/so area of mediocre eateries. The service is a bit slow. The prices are a little inflated, as usual. But it’s always delicious! Eat fast because it will all melt into milk before you know it. I’m sure I’ll be back again… and again :)

This place reminds me of home It’s different to the 1 back home but still great. I had the cheesecake fantasy which had bits of fruit & waffle chunks. Great view to the river outside. Service was efficient.

Lets see. you get to pick out your own flavor of ice cream, the toppings and the either edible or non-edible container of your choice. and what’s not to love? Last time I went here I had the Cinnamon Caramel Gingerbread and, being a gingerbread fan, loved it. I love that they have all these premade flavors you can choose from or make your own with all sorts of crazy combinations. They also have pints and quarts you can buy from the freezer as well as some premade ice cream cakes which look very appetizing. All in all, I like this place a lot but don’t dare go here to often due to all of the delicious flavors combinations I can find myself ogling whenever I do.

Channelside location gets busier than you’d think. Went in on a Thursday night around 9:30pm and the line was nearly to the door. Yet, there was only one girl working. Felt bad for her as she seemed overwhelmed and the orders seemed to be taking a while to get through. The ice cream is decent but the prices are steep. It’s a once in a while kind of treat.

How long are you willing to wait in line to buy an ice cream? I don’t think I have ever waited more than 10 minutes. Until today. 45 minutes. For ice cream. Franchise ice cream at that. I am being generous and adding a star because the Florida Aquarium was handing out free ice cream coupons only good that this particular store. 85% of the people waiting in line had a child with one of those coupons, including me. So, I suppose I should have asked, «How long are you willing to wait in line to get a FREE Cold Stone Creamery ice cream?» The answer: 45 minutes.

Coldstone Creamery is not your traditional ice cream shop. I was first introduced to this concept many years ago at a Marble Slab Creamery in DC. Basically they have some basic flavors(like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, among others) and you pick any number of toppings(my favorite is strawberry ice cream topped with fresh strawberries, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and a brownie). They put all the ingredients on a flat piece of stone kept very cold(hence the name) where they mix it all up with a metal scoop. Think Blizzard but prepared manually. The possibilities are endless. They have some predefined combos, but the true treat is building your own. My favorite without the brownie and in the small size is 25 Weight Watchers points. Worth every single one if you ask me. I’m a big fan, but I still give Tanya and Matt’s Froyo the edge since they also have ice cream and you get to pick your own toppings yourself and as much as you want(and can afford). However, I’m a big fan of Cold Stone nonetheless.

This coldstone is GREAT! Its a nice place to go when you feel like cooling down. The people are nice, and its always clean. Since it’s in Channelside, you always have the courtyard to finish your ice cream and always share since the portions are great! I had some problems with the portions there, they were either too small or too big(and you know that too big can be a problem too, specially if you get their creations!) But other than that. I LOVEIT !!!

In an area that appears to be hit hard by recession, it was good to see this place still open. It was a welcome sight in the heat of the day. The ice cream, as always, is very good. The service was excellent. The employees were attentive and allowed me to try whatever I was asking about. Keep up the good work.

I love the ice cream here! It is incredible in taste, though the cost can be up high sometimes, it is well worth it. Service is all great with hard working employees and they have a very clean establishment.
