The Hour Glass

Both my son and I had a wonderful experience at My Eye Doctor. They have state of the art equipment and the personnel are knowledgeable and very friendly, especially Hannah. They all seem to really enjoy working there.
The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because of the finance manager. I have called and gone into the store several times to get reimbursed for an overcharge due to insurance, but he has not been available and hasn’t called me back.

As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted with a smile. Shane made us feel important and was actually excited to help my mother find a new pair of glasses. Shane was very knowledgeable about all products and very attentive to my mothers likes and dislikes. He worked to get us the best deal available and truly cared about making sure everything was right. I would recommend this place and Shane, to anyone! They just got a customer for life.

I went here today for an eye exam and new glasses. the technician that took me back to the room to do an initial exam was super friendly and interested in what I had to say. the doctor also seemed to really care about my vision and setting me up with what’s right for my eyes. the GM Jackie was very helpful and patient with my picky taste and helped me find a perfect frame. he gave me great and honest feedback which I really appreciated, and even helped me find the best deal price wise. I am 100% satisfied with my visit and feel like the staff members here really care about me and my eyes! :)

No complaints here. Our family comes here for glasses and for contact lens eye exams. They focus on customer service, the staff appear to love what they do and we always walk out better than we were when we arrived. They have recently changed to go by the name of «My Eye Dr.» And are switching patient record systems — so there may be a bit of a wait the first time you come in after the change. Take advantage of their affordable and generous insurance offered in frames & lenses (especially if you have kids).

If you like to wait forever, this is the doctors office to visit. I am very disappointed in my last visit to this doctor. Since the hour glass changed eye doctors, the service is so slow. I waited 50 minutes before I was taken to the exam room. Then waited another 15 minutes for the doctor. I saw the doctor for 5 minutes, and then was sent to the waiting room again to wait for my dilation. I’m still in the waiting room. My appointment was at 10:45 and it is 12:37 now and I’m still waiting.

How about a different greeting than «Do you have insurance» and «Do you have a prescription»? How about «Is there a particular style you are looking for»? Absolutely the most atrocious customer service I have ever experienced. It’s almost as if the staff was there to pull the glasses out of the case for the customer to try on and nothing else. I purchased my previous two frames from The Hour Glass and will never again.

I had a very good experience at the Hour Glass. I have only been to this location so i cannot comment on what happens in the other stores.
The staff here was very friendly and helpful with any question or concern I had about my glasses. While they do boast about getting glasses done in an hour after picking out the frames my insurance unfortunately does not allow for that to happen so I had to wait a couple of days to pick up my glasses.
The eye doctors were competent and able to give me a prescription for both glasses and contacts quickly, allowing me enough time to find a new frame, all within two hours, which is not bad for me at all for a start to finish trip with glasses.
When I went to pick up the frames, they were very helpful and adjusted them quickly to fit my face and give me a great case for my new designer glasses. This is the place to be for designer frames.
I will be coming back here in the future for contacts and to get an eye exam while I am in the Tallahassee area.
