Very nice tasting. We brought our two kiddos and they were throughly entertained with the chess table :)

Beautiful small winery. I love a dog friendly winery and we were greeted with two rare but lovely Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They were so friendly and beautiful. The«doctorate» of wine knowledge was very friendly and professional without giving out that intimidating vibe. I bought a few bottles of their Viognier and not only does it taste like heaven but she instructed me on how to pronounce it correctly. It is an intimidating word after all. haha The gardens are beautiful and you can buy and sip in their courtyard. Beatiful and lovely vineyard. Can’t wait to revisit.

Here’s a spot with unusually excellent wines. Flavors and aromas that are only in place with much more expensive wines.

Greg and Sharon Baiocchi make wonderful wines in their little family run winery in El Dorado county, just across the county line, but their tasting room is in Sutter Creek. It’s in a lovely little cottage on the main street, with a garden out in front where one can sip the wine. Greg and Sharon are both friendly and knowledgable about their wines, which are some of the best made in southern El Dorado county. Try the surprisingly full-bodied Grenache from a vineyard at over 3,000 feet elevation. He also puts together some wonderful Rhone blends. This is by far and away in my opinion the best tasting room with the nicest wines in Sutter Creek.

I wanted to love this winery, the advertise port and blue cheese, what’s not to love about that pairing? When we got their it was very busy but they have numerous games throughout their store, so we played those and waited. When we got to the bar the first few wines were ok, and then came the port, we tried the initial sip and waited for the blue cheese, and waited and waited. The owner was the only person serving and never got back to us, so I still don’t know how the port and blue cheese is but I also don’t think I’ll be back.

Nice clean wines, but a lil pricey for the area. and some felt rushed to the bottle. If I’m going to enjoy a red, that stuff better be aged well before it even touches my lips. Sharon was our winetender and was an absolute sweetheart! Kept all our wine purchases in their A/C building till we finished up tasting in town. Loved their graphics on their bottles… loved their winery and décor. Left with a Rose and drank it up in the hotel room. Good stuff!
