This was by far my favorite winery in Sutter Creek during our visit. We hit every winery in the small town and this one was by far our favorite. The house is so beautiful and charming. The grounds are impeccable and they have a nice patio where you can sit out back and sip the wine that you just purchased. It was a hot fall afternoon so we went with a chilled Rose and sat out back and enjoyed the grounds. It was heaven. The wine experts that we dealt with were very friendly and entertaining. They were quite busy but made sure everyone had great service and they really knew their stuff. We tried a red flight and a white flight. Most of the wines that we tried we really enjoyed. Upstairs they also had different crackers and jellies to try. They had some really fun cork stoppers for sale that I had never seen before. This place really stood out compared to the other wineries in town. We will definitely be back.

They had some very good wines, very knowledgeable about their products. The almond wine was probably the best we had their. They also had some nice tinkets to purchase also. My thanks to the owners for being to personal and talkative, a good virtue to have when the wine is flowing.

I’ve been to many wineries in the Napa Valley but MaryJo and Travis blows all of them away. Very down to earth, unpretentious, good wine and fun people! I’d go back in a heartbeat

This people are fantastic! They were very accommodating and willing to explain everything to us novices. No pressure to buy, but you will want to after sampling their wares. Tanglewood was distinctly my favorite. The place is small but very inviting.

Their wine is ok but the jerk pouring leaves a lot to be desired. A bit obnoxious. Would not go back. As for the resataurants, they are quite good in Sutter Creek.

Mary Jo and her wine list are the best of the best when it comes to wine tasting in Sutter Creek. Not only are the wines spectacular, but Mary Jo is a delight, and her wine list is filled with vivid descriptions of each wine that inspire huge guffaws and honestly makes the wine that much more special. The Pinot Noir that we bought was described as Darth Vader and Elvira going at it between leather seats, big, dark, and sultry. Oh man, was she right. Will be back this weekend to enjoy more of the same!

We’ve been wine club members here for so many years that I can’t remember! The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. Mary Jo and Travis(and Molly the dog) are the best at sharing their love and knowledge of the wines they serve, and there are a lot! They serve wines from 2 sometimes 3) local wineries-Gold Hill & Le Mulet Rouge. They have a huge variety from sparkling wines, whites, reds, and dessert wines. In addition to the wine, they also have olives, and mustards, etc available for sale.

Probably one of the most boring tastings I’ve ever had. Only thing I liked was the Reserve Chard. Winetender guy was way too quiet… which is weird because he didn’t seem super quiet at first. It was as if with each passing moment. he got shyer and more introverted. Total strange vibe. Maybe it was because I made fun of some of the descriptions for their wines. shit like«A camp counselor enjoying a fruit salad» to describe their NV Chard. or «like a hip hop club at midnight, this wine is jammin» for one of their Zins.(swear to god, I’m not makin this shit up. I was only kiddin man. stop being so sensitive about your quirk. Wear your quirk proud if you made that shit up! You made a menu. That silly quirk was the only conversation piece they had to really offer in here.

Love, love, love this place. If you are looking for a great place to stop in enjoy a glass of wine and sit out on the porch and enjoy the view this is a must. We are always greeted with friendly smiles, great service and of course, the best wine and champagne one could ask for. Lots of choices here. Doesn’t matter what your preference is, white, red, bubbly, desert, they have it all. Can’t get enough of their bubbly. A couple of my favs are their Peach and Pomegranate champagne. If you are looking for a variety of flavors to choose from or a place to have bottles shipped for gifts and special occasions, give MJ or Travis a shout out. They are always accomodating. Trish P.

Yeah, they may have a lot of wines to taste but it would be helpful if the service was more patient and friendly. I walked into a crowded room and one of the ladies behind the bar asked what I wanted. I asked what they were serving and she practically through the list at me. I let her know I only wanted to taste 2 – 3 wines, let her know I liked a variety of wines and asked for suggestions. Well, I guess that was asking too much. She basically told me that I just needed to look over the list and decide. I like to give a place a second try so I may try again during my next trip down south.

This place Rocks, we have a blast with Mary Jo and Travis oh and Molly everytime we go there which is at least a couple times a year. We are also club members. Out of the wine tasting places right on Main street this is the best. They pour 3 wineries. I recommend stopping by next time when you are at Sutter, so much fun.

Was our first stop in Sutter Creek and it started our stay in Sutter Creek off on the right foot. The wine servers were so friendly and the wines were very yummy!

Lovely place to try lots of different wines. The almond sparkling wine is great. Great for someone like me who doesn’t know a lot about wine to try some different things out.

This is the standard wine tasting stop in the area. They are my favorite. Unpretentious, friendly and always generous with the pours. We’ve been stopping by since our first trip to the area almost 8 years ago, and it’s held it’s place in the community. I have felt that the variety has gotten a bit on the repetitive side, but then again, i drop in 3 – 4 times a year. If it’s crowded, walk around and come back in 20 minutes. That’s my little trick– wine tasters don’t linger that long!

My girlfriend and I decided to have a «girls day out» and stopped here to wine taste. Mary Jo was fabulous. She is so knowledgeable about all the wines they serve. We tried just about every wine on the list. She made us feel so welcome. We asked for recommendations for lunch and she said Thomi’s was good. She said she could call in the order and they would deliver it to us and we could eat on her porch. So we did!!! Lunch was delicious and we greeted everyone who entered the tasting room! We had a great time thanks to Mary Jo. We highly recommend this tasting room. Thanks Mary Jo again… from the two gals who wouldn’t leave!

2d time we have been here — small but wonderful! Very knowledgeable — nice to be able to taste local wines — prices are good — and you can taste as many wines as you want! Nice to be able to try the local wines.

Nah, that reviewer below doesn’t know. Salt of the earth people here. I am aware that it helps that my auntie lives here and knows all of the wine makers, but the fammily owned vineyards of the Delta are pretty damn good, and pretty damn knowledgeable. The thing here at this tasting room is that they have about 7 wineries going on here. So we tasted about 18 wines for free. Sure some were good, and some were not so terrific, but there was solid time taken here and a house dog to keep us company. Mary Jo taught me about reserves and how the first time a wine maker uses an oak barrel will also be the last time that that barrel will ever be «virginized» so the wine that comes out of that harvest will be above and beyond. And pricey. She also taught me about how the best winemaker in the world will always be a snobby jerk, and that they can make the best wines, but if they cheapin up and buy some non-sanitized bottles from China, there goes there harvest, their income and their livlihood. I had a great time here, sutter creek is a crazy quiet town and very beautiful. The nebbiolo was to die for.

A stop here COULDBE missed! I started with the only two Oak ed Chardonnay. One was not great, the other tasted as if the wine was mixed with old dishwater. As far as the reds, I did like that they used a lot of uncommon grapes. I thought the Sierra Ridge Nebbiolo was worth the $$ as it had a good spice flavor. The Cab’s were way overpriced. The Pinotage and the Agliancico by Sierra Ridge were both interesting and could be enjoyed. The facilities can be tight with a couple of groups inside the little cottage as they have the tasting bar in just one room. The people seemed nice.
