This school is an Oriental Chinese Medicine School, the professors here are mostly experienced and integrative doctor in east and west medicine, their skill and theory are very strong. the tuition here is the cheapest in the bay area. It is a good place for the people who interested in Chinese medicine to learn, put your effort into it, you will explore the world in Chinese Medicine which is amazing and unbelievable, and get the knowledge and skill that you need. I think it’s worth to learn here.
For the medical center, the interns are mostly very nice and patient. I had few times of experience with them, I was treated by the same intern (I requested the same intern) and got really good result. I totally satisfied with the treatment i had received.

it’s a great experience if you get a right student, and most of the supervisors are really good~
Half of the price outside and its double the treatment time.
They try to take care of all your problems in one treatment ($ 25) which you can get it no where else.
Most acupuncture clinics charges 50+ and usually the doctors spend less time.
If you didnt have a good experience here, ask around and try to find better student for next time.

I’ve used their expert clinic a few times for acupuncture, with great success. It usually takes a few visits, but voila! Good as new. I was never able to use my insurance (only accepts a few providers on very select plans), but every penny was worth its weight in gold… and then some. Don’t expect a spa, or anything fancy; It’s a sterile clinic, and that’s fine with me. I don’t doubt that they can take care of most ailments and degrees of pain. I should have written this review a long time ago.

I am a first year student at UEWM, I continue to attend because I feel the program is very good. they have an excellent staff at clinic with Dr. Porshia who is well educated and has offered low cost health care for patients suffering from diabetise as well emotional problems.
the clinic also offers Tui-​na massage services and has a very clean patient rooms. the school has an English program with excellent teachers with many years of teaching experience.

They are affordable. If you find a good intern, stick w/​his treatment and ask for a referral upon his completion of internship.

Some students keep on pushing/​forcing patients to buy different kinds of herbs. I only hurt my ankle: why do I need to take 3 – 5 different herbs? I stop seeing them. They are so terrible. I receive bad attitude when I turn down the herbs. It can cause dangerous side effect for taking many herbs at the same time. It seem like I know better than the students in medicine as they keep on asking me lots of medical questions when I was there, but they use of every method like salesmen to make me buy the herbs.

I’ve been here for acupuncture sessions. I bought the 5-​treatment package for $ 100. it was cheaper than using my insurance since my co-​pay was more than $ 20.
The treatments are done by students (you could pay more and have a licensed person do this) but the students are supervised.
I did have tremendous relief from shooting pain in my left arm and shoulder. The students spend a lot of time with you and the entire session lasts for about 1 hr. They first check your pulse, palms, nails, and tongue (so make sure that you brush this, :-))
You can request a particular student and a woman can request only female students if she so desires.

I tried this place because of the price ($ 25/​session). I used to pay $ 50-​$ 120/​session at other acupunctures. In this place, treatments are performed by students under the supervision of a doctor. Some students are good, but some are… well… I had a bad experience at my second try. However, you can call on a person when you make an appointment, so I called on Yoshiko at my third time. I am Japanese and she is only one Japanese in the clinic. I named her because of language, but it was lucky choice. She is very good. My pain is definitely reduced. She carefully listen my feedback after each treatments and change the method if it did not work well for me. She is also very polite and respects my privacy. I am very happy with her treatment. She of course speaks English, so, if you are interested trying this place, I recommend making an appointment and name Yoshiko. She usually works on Monday and Thursday. Then if you like this place, you can buy $ 100/​5session, and $ 200/​11session tickets. I bought $ 200/​11session which cost about $ 18/​session, That’s pretty good price to keep continue once a week treatment.

I came to U of EW for acupuncture treatments for spinal disc problems/​low back pain/​sciatica upon recommendation of my doctor. I came here because it is close to my home and reasonably priced: $ 25/​session with students and $ 100 for 5 sessions paid in advance with students. You can easily get appointments and potentially be seen the same day or the next day.
Since this is a university for students training to be acupuncturists in traditional Chinese Medicine, you will be interviewed and treated by students. When it was my turn, I was led into this tiny, broom closet sized room where a consultation would be done and 5 students crowded in! I was not comfortable and should have asked for less people to be in the room. I also don’t like that some of the students aren’t fluent in English and will speak Chinese in front of you (not maliciously) to the other students. Once the consult was over, the students go to consult with their instructor before placing any needles or prescribing any herbs.
I did like the actual person (perhaps an advanced student) who led the interview and actually performed the treatment, she was quite informative and considerate. The needles really didn’t hurt going in, but unfortunately, I found no relief from the treatments or herbs they suggested. But, I am glad I tried this place and I would probably return in the future if I need treatment for other conditions. The price can’t be beat, especially if your insurance doesn’t cover acupuncture therapy.
Herbs are very reasonably priced, I purchased a bottle of 100 tablets for only $ 3!

I tried this place 2 years ago specifically for acupuncture for painful tension headaches and itchiness of my skin after a recommendation from my friends who had tried their massages. These are students who are training to receive a degree or certificate in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi, and Asian Bodywork Therapy.
I paid for 5 sessions for $ 100 for acupuncture by students. If you don’t want to go for the deal, sessions are $ 25 each which is still quite a bargain. Students do an intake each time with you asking questions about your pain (severity, duration), symptoms, etc. Be honest about your symptoms because they figure out where to strategically place the needles.
If you haven’t had acupuncture done or feel a little apprehensive about being a human pin cushion, DON’T. I would compare it to that of a tiny pinch. The students try their best to make the session comfortable for you as they can. Some places on your body will hurt more than a little pinch but I felt so much better afterwards. Needles were stuck around my eyebrows and forehead so that was a bit awkward. But the tradeoff was not getting as many tension headaches and the skin itchiness was a bit reduced.
The University does not look like a university at all but more like a store so don’t expect too much when you go in. It’s near a smoke shop and piercing place and El Pollo Loco. I wish I could have continued but alas, my budget could not work them in.
