The quality of the food is more like 4 stars. But the pricing throws this into 3 stars for me, this seems to be a California thing, «want decent food, then you’re going to pay a premium for it because I deserve it» Almost $ 13 and no drink? Really? $ 12.50 and I got onion rings and a small sandwich. But if you are in the area looking something like this, it’s a good place to go. The place was clean(mostly, see below) The person who served me was very nice. Quick service. Food was good, both Onion Rings and the sammich.

I’ve been coming to the place way before the days of smart phones or Unilocal. This place should have 5 stars. The Philly Cheesesteaks are the best I’ve tasted. The one I always get is the Stevens favorite. If You’re ever in the Sunnyvale area I would highly recommend stopping by.

Onion rings were some of the best I’ve had, although a little overpriced, but the signature cheesesteaks are at most 3 stars. Totally under-seasoned.

Steven’s Classic Philly Cheesesteaks of Sunnyvale is a small, clean restaurant with decent prices and mediocre cheesesteaks. During my last visit, I ordered a Classic Cheesesteak with grilled onions($ 7.49) and seasoned Curly Fries($ 2.25). First, the cheesesteak was okay at best. I liked the soft bread, but the sandwich was pretty greasy and lacked flavor, and I ended up using a lot of ketchup as a topping. Second, the curly fries were pretty good and reasonably priced. Although, if I could make one suggestion, it would be to season the curly fries to give them more flavor. Additionally, the owner — or whoever usually works at the register — isn’t a people person. During my visit, he didn’t have an attitude per se, but the way he interacted with me and various other customers was weird. I don’t know if he was in a bad mood, or if he just hates his job. Due to this restaurant being located in a random part of Sunnyvale, as well as there being a «Cheese Steak Shop» located close to my home, it’s unlikely that I’ll return to Steven’s Classic Philly Cheesesteaks of Sunnyvale.

The guy behind the register was very helpful. He asked if we had ever been here and made sure to explain the menu to us. Not only did our food come out super quick but we ordered a cheesesteak to go and he made sure to put that order in after we ate so it would be nice and warm.

My experience is all based on customer service. I am not saying don’t visit this place for the food, but service is horrible. 1st i ordered a half chicken meal based on a menu picture on their wall, noted as $ 10.25, they wouldn’t honored it, the what I think was the manager approached me if there was an issue I mentioned to him the price is different then the one I am being charged, he said someone must of stuck a sticker on the menu, when he removed there was another price below that too, which leads me to believe he was lying. Instead of honoring it he said don’t get the soda. Then they tried to charge my card, the little crappy charge machine couldn’t charge my card with the new Chip technology. At the end I walked out, never again would I returned here, so that was my bad customer service experience and their lost of a customer.

Good cheesesteak here. They are not too big, which is a plus in my opinion. High quality meat, and the bread is nice and soft

I went to this place on a whim while I was out running errands. It was lunchtime and even though it seems to be a popular spot, the line to order moved quickly. The cashier was cheerful and friendly. I didn’t have to wait long for my food. I ate my cheesesteak and onion rings there. The food was delicious, just what I was expecting from a cheesesteak. I will definitely be returning.

I was pleasantly surprised with my cheesesteak here. Came on a slightly buzzed whim, but left with a devoured mass of some of my top cheesesteaks in the Bay. I have to start with the bread. From the pictures it’s easily my biggest reason hesitancy — looks like a dry mess. It’s anything but. My sandwich ended up on the thinner side, but it had the nice balance of a soft bite, yet hold up firm at the crust as a sandwich. The steak itself was well seasoned, with the provolone as a great melty cheese. I opted for jalapenos — which were pickled yet still brought me the spicy kick I was looking for. Garlic fries were pretty standard. They even had a display dish as a courtesy. Good amount of garlic, and a decent frozen fry as a standard. I’m glad I had the fries for calibration purposes, but I definitely will get more cheesesteaks after future buzzes.

I love this place! I try to come here whenever I get a chance. The mushroom cheesesteak is my favorite! Fries are always fresh and delicious. The older gentleman usually helps me out, didn’t get his name. He’s awesome and always happy whenever I come in.

These cheesesteaks are legit and the people working there are nice too. My husband lived in Philly for 4 years and that’s when my obsession with cheesesteaks started. I’ve been to Amato’s and I think this place is way better. The bread is great, the meat is tasty, and cheese is cheese. The bread is really good, it’s worth describing what I like about it. It’s soft, but not too fluffy, with the right amount of density and chewiness. Easily my favorite sandwich shop in the south bay.

Note: This is based on a Door Dash delivery and not an in-person visit. I was recently diagnosed with a wheat allergy. An allergy I don’t wish upon my worst enemy, well, unless I really really hate them. One of the top things I crave is Cheesesteaks and finding a cheesesteak place that accommodates this allergy is nearly impossible. However, Steven’s Classic Philly Cheesesteaks came to my rescue because they serve their sandwiches platter style(w/o bread). My order turned out to be exactly what I was craving. The perfect golden ratio of meat, cheese, veggies. I hate to say it, but they might have blown Amatos out of the water.

Ive had a few cheese steaks from this joint and everytime they are consistently good, I haven’t gotten any other sandwiches though, so definitely read other reviews to see what you would like. So far my favorites cheese steak places: 1) Amatos 2) Jersey Mikes 3) Cheese steak /Steven’s Classic

I drive buy the place all the time and I was curious, and on the hunt for a really good Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. Dropped by the other day with my mom and aunt in the afternoon, even though it was busy, the service was AWESOME and FAST! Waited maybe 10 minutes for 3 meals! Can’t beat that! Steven’s Supreme w/seasoned fries was epic! I will definitely be returning soon!

Didn’t realize that close earlier than listed on Unilocal.Ordered a philly cheese steak and curly fries. Lucky for us, though they closed in 5 minutes, they decided to make our order. Sandwich was piping hot and tasty. Just wished the bread was crispier or toasted more. Possibly due to is coming very best closing time. Curly fries were crispy and hot. Would come back next time NOT5 minutes before closing :).

Reading the reviews can be a real head scratcher. No flavor? Skimpy on cheese and meat? Too expensive? Sorry folks. You need to talk to your therapists about the«look at me» complex you are harboring. The facts are irrefutable. Perfect portion, great flavor, perfectly textured bread… all sum up to a great meal. I have been here many times and have always experienced consistency, quality and great and friendly customer service. To the people complaining about price, order off McDonald’s Dollar menu and rave about how great it is. You get what you pay for. Ok, focus. I have tried several varieties and all have been great. Garlic fries, cheese fries and curly fries are all quite good. Went there today with a friend from work and the line was long and it was busy. The man at the register efficiently and pleasantly moved things along with a smile and pleasant exchanges. When we left he spoke warmly to us. I love this place.

Wanted something beefy loaded with cheese so bingo — Steven’s Philly Cheesesteak! Check out the menu here: Had the Supreme cheesesteak and garlic fries. The top sirloin was a bit overcooked but over all the cheesesteak was pretty good. It had green bell peppers, caramelized onions, mushrooms and melted cheese for $ 8.79. The garlic fries had bits of freshly chopped garlic and melted cheese. Overall it was pretty good.

Like coming here. Great food and great service. It’s small inside but they treat you very nice. You come in and the smile and welcome you. The Philly cheesesteak has a great taste and is hot. The garlic fries are very garlicky and you do taste it. Clean inside and if you have not been here before, you meet to try it out. You will be hooked coming back.
