5 stars for their kimbap. It’s probably the best I’ve had(and definitely better than Galleria). I always come and grab some if I’m at Hankook. Unfortunately their other food leaves you wanting. The bibimbap is like $ 10 and it has way too much rice, not enough of everything else. The rice also didn’t crust nicely and tasted oddly sticky(more glutinous rice-like). All in all, subpar, and they only have two ban chan. There are so many better options in the area(and with more ban chan) at the same price. I’ve also had the tofu soup and recall being super underwhelmed.

(: Boba-Foodaholic Says :) My order: Soondae + Rabboki I was unhappy with their food but was okay. First I just happen to eat here before I grocery shop at the Hankook market. I saw a picture menu that illustrates what they sell and they have laid out all the foods. However, I was so disappointed that they just microwave my soondae in the microwave. I hate when the food is microwaved because there is a lot of bad stuff that goes in when you microwave it. Also, according to the picture, the rabboki is much bigger and looks so delicious. However, when we got the food, the food was so small portion of food without any taste but just spiciness. Also, there aren’t that much of spaces to eat because when the busy time(lunch or dinner), you have to share with other people or they just take our chairs because they needed it. I wouldn’t recommend to go here personally, just go to Food Court inside Lawrence Plaza.

The dolsot bibimbap is $ 10.50. For that price is recommend other places. Hankook is convenient and the service is super friendly, but the rice didn’t form a good crust. Most other restaurants are similarly priced, get a better crust and come with more meat.

Hankook is an authentic korean supermarket selling all your korean grocery goodies. I particularly enjoy the deli section where they sell a delightful selection of banchan. If you’re looking to whip up your own korean bbq, you can also buy marinated meat from here. One thing though, the marinated meat section and banchan section is just next to each other, so you gotta be careful not to mistake raw meat for side dishes ;) Otherwise, there’s also a great selection of fresh meat for hotpot or stew. I like that they are always giving out free samples to taste. Love this supermarket! :D

Buy some gimbap. Buy some omelette. Buy some mandoo. Then head over and buy as many banchan as your heart desires. This is your reward for being able to walk into a store thats smell of fermenting cabbage permeates the store. Which to buy? Be adventurous — look for familiar vegetables and explore from there! Now go home with lunch and banchan. Yay!

I got three items($ 5 japchae, $ 6 mung bean pancakes, and $ 5 fish cakes) for $ 16, so it’s expensive compared to all the food you could get at a Korean restaurant(with the side dishes included) at the same price. The fish cakes were very salty, but the japchae and mung bean pancakes were not. The cashier was friendly, and she was happy to recite the ingredients of the items for me. I was here at 10:30AM, and the pre-packaged items I got from the counter were still warm, having just come out of the kitchen.

I ate lunch here today and was so disappointed with their beef rice plate(Bulgogi). Aside from the beef being dry and bland, it’s so expensive for $ 10! I’d rather eat in a restaurant and get a whole mess of side dishes too!

I shop at the Hankook supermarket every two weeks for a box of pre-cooked rice, spicy tuna cans, ramen and the kind, frozen potstickers, and some ready-to-go banchan. Sometimes I get a roll of kimbab at the deli and pop one at a time in my mouth as I shop. Once, it was christmas eve and I was both physically sick and homesick and came here for their soy bean paste soup. It was very good. Reminded me of my mom’s cooking.

Got hungry and had some ddukbokki here. Pretty good, and the price is alright. It’s not cheap, but I don’t think the food is bad so it seems reasonable. It’s self service, so really no frills. If you’re hungry before grocery shopping at Hankook market, consider stopping by!

This place has gotten expensive. $ 9 for cold buckwheat noodles at a to-go deli? I’d rather eat at a restaurant and get a whole mess of side dishes too.

Inside the Hankook supermarket is this deli area where you can get some hot food or box away some Korean goodies. Rather than marinating or slaving away to make some of these side dishes, you can just get them here. Reasonably priced and tasty works just fine for me!

Veggie sushi, $ 5! Hankook super deli is located in Hankook supermarket, make your way to the back of the store and you’ll spot the sign. I’m here at least once every month and so far I’ve enjoyed every visit.

So what it’s 95 degrees outside I’m going to get the best thing they have here and it’s the dolsot bimbimbap! Love this full service supermarket. They have per-marinated meats along with ban-chan or traditional Korean side dishes for meals. The setup is cool to get your food they have nifty plastic containers with saran wrap. Also the area where the food is located is super clean.

I have been eating here since 13 years ago, and I still love most of their food. They added so many different menu in 2 – 3 years, but what I eat is still there. I love their MOOLNENGMYUN and DDUKBOKKI. I just love them. It is better than most of the NENGMYUN specialty restaurants. Icy cold with sweet and spicy taste. YUMYUM

In the battle of the ethnic supermarkets(Nijiya, Mitsuwa, Ranch 99, Mi Pueblo, Hankook), the stakes have been increasingly raised as each store has begun to offer super fresh produce, sashimi grade fish, kobe quality beef and more… all at prices that would make Whole Foods and Draeger’s blush with embarrassment. The in store delis, both a one-stop shopping convenience as well as an ode to the particular ethnic cuisine, have also been upping the quality as well. Hankook Super Deli, located in the middle of Hankook Korean Supermarket, is among the top of those places. It’s claim to fame is definitely the dolsot bibimbop, a variation of the traditional bibimbop or mixed rice dish that is served in a hot stoneware bowl. During a late lunch, I saw that every other patron had ordered the same dish. At $ 8.99, it’s not cheap, but comes with a generous side dish of kimchee, a great seaweed soup, and a ginormous serving size. Ingredients were fresh and tasty and the large predominance of vegetables means a largely healthy meal. Although you can get a regular bibimbop served in a cold metal bowl for a bit less money, I highly recommend the hot stoneware bowl. It causes the rice to get slightly crispy and means the bowl is a nice hot temperature that mixes nicely with the room temperature vegetable. Combine this rice bowl with the great soup and the cold kimchee and you really have a match made in heaven. This dolsot bibimbop was better than any bowl I had during 4 years of school in the Midwest and we ate a LOT of bibimbop back then. The deli is also a great stop to pick up to-go items for home, with my absolute favorite being japchae or Korean cellophane noodles often served as a side dish during Korean BBQ dinners. Hankook Super Deli is a super low key place to grab a great meal and they even accept credit cards, although only Visa and Mastercard.

Ohhhhh grocery story. They always have plenty of korean food here, and its quick and tastey for a good price. I don’t go too often because I always forget that it exists, but when I remember I’ll be here.

I came here after seeing this deli listed on the bargain bites list. The food was standard korean fare but the quantities were SMALL. The choice of meals was very limited. The prices were not that much of a bargain. You can pay the same price(around 10) and eat at any of the nearby small korean places up and down el camino(at least for lunch). In summary, there is no reason to eat here besides the fact you can go shopping at the grocery store immediately after.
