Ordered lunch here with some coworkers the other day. I got the raging bull sandwich this time(I usually always get the sea dog) and it was delicious! I really like the green peppers and onions they put in there. It goes really well together with the roast beef, especially since it’s on an onion roll. The employees were very friendly too and our sandwiches were made fairly quick. Come to think of it I feel like most Erik’s Deli’s I’ve been to have pretty stellar customer service. I guess my only real complaint about the sandwiches in general is that they tend to get very soggy only after a little bit of time. I save the other half of my sandwich for when I got back to the office, but it was just a soggy mess by then so I had to throw most of it out. Lesson learned… eat them fast.

I was very excited to get back to the office to eat my sandwich(Sweet Liberty) until I looked down and saw mold on the red bell peppers. I am now sick to my stomach. I couldn’t eat my meal … Happy Friday :(

Really good sandwiches which are fresh and tasty. Nice and unique ambiance. Their soups are fresh as well. If you want a healthy option for sandwich, this is the place.

Nice employees such as Nicho and Andy. Clean and great food as always. I love that they post calories of each dish on the menu. I liked the outdoor seating across from the Central Park.

The cashier was friendly, spoke slowly for my pace but that was okay. After telling him my order, the older cashier gentlemen repeated it back to me correctly, and I had multiple customizations to my sandwich. What I didn’t see him do was turn around and relay the information to the younger gentleman making my sandwich. When it was all assembled and handed to me, I asked if there was no pickles and other toppings like I asked. They said that is correct. Happily, I say thank you and turn around to exit. As I exit I turn around to the younger gentleman that made my sandwich and I asked one last question«gluten free bread as well?» The entire crew on the line(younger gentleman and a woman) snapped quickly and both said YES as if I was overwhelming with my concerns. This was my first experience at the new Eriks location… and the worst in the Bay Area so far. Disclaimer: First impressions mean a lot. The sandwich was big, and made correctly that’s what matters, right? I prefer my service to be just as delicious.

We had lunch here today! So yummy, and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. I had the cup of New England Clam Chowder & a half Pilgrims Progress sandwich — both were excellent and filling. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained. The menu seemed to have a lot of choices and we can’t wait to eat through them all! :-)

I haven’t been to this location in awhile. The updated interior looks great. I had one of my usual meals there consisting of the half sandwich combo. It was the turkey walnut pesto sandwich with the tomato basil bisque soup. Consistently good among the various locations.

Anyone who knows Erik’s food already expect the same high quality of food no matter what location they stop in. What sets this Erik’s apart is the outstanding service from the employees and the owner(the owner is working the counter). From the friendly greeting as you enter to a cheery smile as the order is delivered it’s textbook perfect service. Oh and the bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve seen. Clearly the owner cares about his employees and it shows from the positive energy emanating from this place. Any business owner would benefit from experiencing this place and the reason for that is that i and probably a lot of other people will be returning customers.

Pretty good sandwich but it was a bit pricey. Not sure if I would regularly go here, but it was a good try.

Not sure why this place never seems to be very busy when I stop by. The location is a little hidden. Erik’s Delicafe makes great sandwiches served with a pickle and a slice of orange. I often pick them up with a cup of their seasonal soup because they’re always creamy and delicious! Except for the fact that they disappear too soon — bring back wild mushroom! The people at this location are always friendly and delightful too!

Normally I really like erik’s deli. I get their turkey walnut pesto and its consistently good. I guess I should stick to what I know is good because I went last night and got a pilgrims progress but requested it on a French roll and was very disappointed. The bread was so stale and flavorless and hardly had any meat in it. I ate half of it «open faced» and then didn’t even bother eating the second half. Otherwise I love their banana bread. I can’t say too much on the other menu items.

Oh, Erik’s Deli. what happened to you? It’s been years since I’ve been back because we are not short of great sandwich places around here, but we decided to give this a try because of location. I got my old favorite, Turkey walnut pesto, and I was so disappointed. The quality of the sandwich has gone way down. My turkey was full of gristle and other unpleasant textures, so much so that I took it all out of the second half and just had an avocado and cheese sandwich. Don’t care how close it is, I won’t be back to spend $ 20 on bad food.

I always get the Eric’s Classic Reuben(super tasty). My husband always gets the Sea Dog. Just make sure they packed pickles if you get it to go.

Nothing special in terms of food, save the excellent Jambalaya soup, but the incredibly kind staff make it the kind of place you want to come more often. The chili is a little iffy, I’m not a fan of heavily tomato-flavored ones instead of meat-based chilis, and the basil soup is sad in comparison to SF Boudin’s killer rustic tomato; however, the staff is especially kind. Also, the sweetheart loves that REO Speedwagon.

This place has good food, nice staff, and fast service. The servings are generous and space is plentiful. The bathroom is clean. The locals are really into the«special goo», a tasty emulsion which is probably bad for you. The interior is definitely different. At first I got a farmhouse tortureshop vibe, but it passes for rustic after a while.

I only go to this Erik’s Deli because of the Mexican cashier lady in the front taking my order. She can make anyone’s day and sandwich with her smile. She’s been there forever and I’m so glad she’s always there to greet me. The food is fresh and my soup is always warm, I Love it.

Grabbed lunch here today with the BF and his dad after stopping at several markets to stock the pantry and refrigerator after vacation. BF has missed this place and it was close to home, so we’ll likely be making this a regular place. BF and I split the REO speedwagon and the texas jailhouse chili, while dad had the reuben. The chili was okay, but as a Texas girl this was not spicy enough to be called«Texas» anything! Had good flavor though, and appreciated that they served my onions and cheese on the side. The bread served alongside was tasty, too, though I’m sure i didn’t need to eat it. Our sandwich was okay but did not wow me, though I loved the tons of sprouts! As for the Erik’s Goo I was looking forward to, it just seems to be a homemade mayo? Maybe I missed something. Most of the sandwiches seem to be a variation of turkey-cheese-avocado-sprouts, but several other items to try on other visits caught my eye, such as the mediterranean wrap and the marrakech express. Lastly, I have to comment on the décor. The rustic wood walls and farmyard equipment décor really dd it for me– this is totally a place that would exist, sans irony, in Texas. The drinks-in-a-glass thing is a legit, down-home country lunch touch, and it made me feel a bit nostalgic. Customer service was polite, but could use an extra punch of friendliness to go with the southern feel of the place.
