4 stars for food quality/taste 0 stars for speed of service The food is actually quite decent for alleged fast food, but the service is completely NOT fast. I ordered a salad, a SALAD today and it took 30 minutes to get it. The poor lady taking orders was busting her behind taking orders, cleaning tables, delivering food to people, but the 2 people actually making the food are HORRIBLE. They left for almost 10 minutes while there was a huge lineup of people. Did they need a smoke break or something? At any rate, they need more people working during the lunch rush, at least one more order taker and they definitely need competent people making the food. I’m hoping today was just a fluke because I really don’t want to have to write these guys off.

Convenient thing about this place is that you can make your order online, however in terms of Greek food, you are better off going to a place that’s more authentic, like Dish n Dash. Food just doesn’t taste or feel as «real» as it should be.

Now that I’ve found House of Falafel, I dont come here much anymore. But this is the only place i know of around here that sells gyros. hey, they’re pretty good here! This place isn’t amazing, but it’s pretty well priced and the food is good. Nuff said.(:

I’d driven by a number of times wanting to go in and finally did today. $ 9 for a two pita combo(2 sides+ drink). I think I could have eaten 4 or 5 combos and not have been full. The portion size was tiny and it took at least 15 minutes for my order to come out. Definitely not fast food. I also have to say I spied the worker in the kitchen manually rotating the gyro meat with his bare hand while carving my small portion… yuck. Overall not a good experience and won’t be going back. Yiassoo in Cupertino is a better deal, for more food, and better tasting.

This is the only fast food Greek restaurant that I know of. The bf and I decided to have lunch here on a whim. We drove past it and decided to give it a try. First off, right when you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome. They definitely earned extra points for their great friendly service. The menu is displayed on the wall above the registers where you order and pay for your food. Then you get a number and sit a table. We elected to sit outside since the weather was so nice outside and they have a nice outdoor eating area. The food came out pretty fast. I ordered the California Greek Salad, the bf ordered the grilled chicken burger with the fire with feta pita, and we shared the BBQ Chicken Flatbread Pizza. I liked my salad because it had a tasty light dressing but it didn’t have a lot of chicken and the bf tried someone of my salad and thought the chicken was a little dry. The flatbread pizza was pretty good… wasn’t really a Greek dish though. I think the bf enjoyed his chicken burger though. I think this an ok place to grab a quick healthy lunch.

Fool me once — shame on you, fool me — twice shame on me… fool me the third time and I am not coming back. I don’t like giving low reviews but I just wanted to share my experiences. Okay — I like the concept of fast food Greek and the food isn’t all that bad. I just draw the line at constantly finding hair in my food. Really? But then again I should have learned my lesson and I have. I just have a hard time saying no to coworkers that like it. The food is okay — I would rate it a 3 star, pricing is okay again a 3 star, however I wish I didn’t keep finding hair in my food.

The only reason I go here is for the PIta burger. The price is reasonable and it’s pretty good. Everything else here is horrible including the service up to the manager. We came here for the first time because of the coupons regarding the Pita burger they sent us. When I gave the coupon to the cashier, she said it was ONLY valid for one person. It never said anything about that in the AD or the coupon! I complained and wanted to speak with the manager. The manager came out and said the coupon wasn’t even valid at this location. WTF?!? The stupid AD said Sunnyvale in bold fonts I told him. He started to stare at the AD and started to do something in the backroom. He finally approved it and said that he would take it this time trying to be a smart ass. We came here another day around 7:30pm for the burger again. They said we couldn’t sit inside because they had to clean up! WTF!!! The place closes at 8:00pm… We stayed anyways because my friend wanted to try try the burger. I couldn’t take the rudeness so I ask for the manager. This time, the manager was not there. The workers saw that I was aggravated so they gave all of us(4 people) free greek salads or something. It taste like crap and we just tossed it. The food takes a long time to come out if it’s busy. Don’t be surprise to wait for 20 minutes for your meal. The only reason I give this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the Pita Burgers. It’s the ONLY good thing about this restaurant.

The food here is alright. I got the pita with meat, lettuce, tomatoes. By the way, the fries come separately. The picture shows that it comes together. So, just a warning! Don’t be upset if it doesn’t come with it… I was… and honey went back to order me fries. Thanks! :)

Wow… I thought this would be a good place to try Greek fast food but it was terrible. The food is too expensive and the taste is bland and portions are sloppily put together. Go to Falafel Bite or Falafel Drive in for some good fast food.

I love Daphne’s, but this location has been hit or miss with me. My two«go to’s» are the Greek Gyro Salad with George’s Treat(rice pilaf added on top) or the Gyro Pita and usually both are really good. Most recently I have tried the three-course dinner because for $ 7.00, you get a good amount of food: a starter, entrée with two sides, and dessert. The guy at the register was super nice and provided service with a smile, but beyond that I was really disappointed. I ordered the three-course dinner to go and when I got home I realized that they didn’t include the starter hummus. There was hardly any meat in the two gyro street pitas I ordered as my entrée and the pita bread was way too thick, cold, and way too chewy. All the locations in LA and OC that I’ve been to have been great, but I’m going to have to think twice about coming back to this one.

when i lived in OC, you’d find a daphnes almost anywhere. it was actually the first time id ever experienced greek food(although it is fast food), and always really enjoyed my gyro plate. i was realy excited when this location opened up in northern california, right near my house, and went there as soon as they opened. my experience was not very good. the rice was not fully cooked, and i felt it just didnt taste as good as it did in irvine. which is weird, since it’s a chain. i decided to try it again recently, and still, it was just okay. the prices are decent, and they had these new promotions where the starters were $ 1. i got the hummus and pita which was good. i normally get the gyro plate, but i got the combo that had the street pita, a smaller version of a gyro. again, the rice that i normally love didnt taste so great, but the cucumber sauce(can’t think of the name, tzakiti sauce i believe?), fries were okay. this location is really rather small though so you feel really cramped. the baklava was decent as well. i havent gone back since, and will probably just go to another greek place instead. pretty bummed as i really enjoyed daphnes down south.

Disgusting. I hardly ever throw food out, but this was so bad I tossed half the food out before I could stomach it. I usually love greek food and I find it on the healthier side if you pick the right menu. I guess I didnt realize how fast food this place was and how low quality the food would be. The price wasnt even taht cheap like fast food level, i spent about 10 dollars per person. I ordered the shrimp, gyros, and chicken/beef skewers. The Gyros by far is the most safest, meat is decent, but the flat bread is oily and gross. The shrimp was like a deep fried frozen shrimp thing that was so tiny and no taste. The beef and chicken skewers were so dried up and over cooked, disgusting. Never going back again!

I was brought here by a friend who recommended the greek food plate(I had only ever been to Gyro’s on Castro St. before this). Daphnes is a greek food chain, and it feels like it inside, the gyros and beef are good, the fries are decent and the rice pilaf is cooked well. only downside is its kinda pricey and takes a long time for the food to come out consistently(I chalk it up to fresh ingredients because its not McDonald’s or anything)

Why would anyone ever choose to eat here? If you are in the mood for a chicken or beef kabob, do not go here. Just walk across the street and dine at Kabul, which features the best kebabs in all of Sunnyvale, if not the entire Bay Area. If you are in the mood for a Greek salad, hummus, or some other Mediterranean dish, do not go here. Just drive two miles south and eat at the Armenian Gourmet, which has the best Greek Salad, hummus, and other Mediterranean options in Sunnyvale, if not the entire Bay Area. If you are in the mood for a burger, do not go here. Just drive two miles south and eat at St. John’s, which features the best burgers in Sunnyvale, if not the entire Bay Area. Or you can drive two mile’s north and eat at Clarke’s, which features the best burgers in Mountain View, if not the entire Bay Area. Clearly, with all of those bases covered, there is no reason to eat here. But I begrudgingly got dragged here by a non-Yelper co-worker to what I can describe as the Panda Express of Greek cuisine. I had trouble deciding what to order and the Greek burger combo seemed cheap, so I mulled it over. The guy behind the register/manager/possible owner tells me the burger is delicious and made from Angus beef. Nowhere on their menu does it say it is made from Angus beef, but the guy wouldn’t lie, would he? The burger took a while for it to come out, so during that time I tried my co-worker’s chicken kebab. It was dryer than armpits after applying Secret Clinical protection. Oddly, it tasted like armpits too. As for my long waited burger, it took forever because the patties were frozen. I took a bite and totally tasted freezer burn. It was a Costco beef patty that tore in chunks. There was no absolutely no juice inside. The fries were soggy because they were sitting around waiting for my frozen beef carcass to melt and cook. And as for the Angus beef, it was definitely not Angus beef. It was more like Angus, minus the«G.» Get it? Got it? Good, so don’t come here. Ever. (I would normally award 1 star to this place, but I forgot my keys there. But they found them and kept them safe for me. How nice of them. Now get some quality meat up in this joint, Daphne!)

My friend and I had a sweet tooth after our awesome meal and decided to dig deep into the bowels of our purses for coins needed for the tasty baklava. My apologies to the dude at the register, all I had were dimes and nickels! :-) Went around 12:15 and the place was packed inside and out.

Daphne’s is a fast-casual food chain serving Greek food. They have gyros, kabobs, falafel, dolmas, spanakopita, etc. For lunch I usually order one of the combos. At dinner, it’s often the 3 course meal. Kabobs are usually good, gyros are sometimes dry. Spanakopita is awesome — I haven’t seen it cooked deep fried anywhere else. Recently Daphe’s added a Pita Burger. The idea sounds a bit hokey, but it was surprisingly tasty. Way better than most fast food burgers. I like that Daphne’s offers the choice of fries, salad+rice, or double salad as side dishes on most plates. It helps you control how light or heavy you want your meal to be. Portions are a bit on the small side, especially in comparison to the super-sizing almost everywhere else. I think the quantity’s about right for a typical adult. If you need more, there are several a la carte items and a few small desserts you can add at low cost.

No you won’t be getting an authentic Greek experience here, but you will get an affordable, fast, derivative of Greek food. I ordered the Gyro with side greek salad. The Gyro wasn’t memorable, the meat was tasteless and dry, the bread was dry, and even the tzatziki sauce that’s usually the highlight of the gyro was bland. I did enjoy the side salad however. The tomatoes were fresh, and the feta was melting in my mouth. The people I was with did say they enjoyed the red pepper hummus however.

NO — it’s not authentic Greek. YES — it’s fast food. Expect more than this, and you’ll be disappointed. For what it’s worth, the food here is not bad. We’ve been here a few times, and I was happy with each visit. The gyro’s are tasty. Rice has decent flavor. The fries are great(I know, french fries at a Greek place?!?) Hummus is surprisingly good. The baklava is a little bit too sweet for me, but otherwise ok. The outdoor seating is nice on a sunny day, just don’t mind the honking of irate/stupid drivers. It’s a little pricey for«fast food» — you’ll find great food at a smaller joint I’m sure, but it’s a chain. Whatdya expect. This is our version of «McDonalds», so we dont’ come here too often. But when we do, we are not disappointed.

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper slow(30 minutes to get served) during dinner, $ 30, and fast food environment. Screaming kid(possibly the owner’s kid). Falafel tasted like fried dog turd. Gyro chewy and dry. Hummus, pita, and chicken kabob acceptable. I think the shrimp at McDonald’s is better. And I don’t even think they serve it, but if they did… it’s better. The food is a solid 2 star — but the experience 1.

Daphne’s, from the outside, does not look like«fast food.» However, upon entering this restaurant, I was greeted with both a hand menu and wall menu. Keep in mind, the portion and quality are comparable to the price. I had never seen such a small kabob. Go figure, right? In their defense, they serve it with some kinda bread, spread, salad, and drink. Chicken was moist, but too small for me to really enjoy. I had my heart set on sushi. Too bad and so sad that Yume-Yaw was closed during lunch. Either way, this was easy and within the vicinity. Outdoor seating is nice, and it’s conveniently sandwiched between Peet’s and Baja Fresh. in order to really make it «fast food,» this joint needs a drive through and a milkshake.
