Awesome service whether it’s Manohar or the owner, it’s always good. The food is yum. Try aalo tikki chat or papdi chat or samosa chat. Thaali good with chutneys and mango pickle. Top it all with free soda or chai. Fifth time in 2 weeks a testament to our liking, came with friends, family and colleagues. All liked it.

There is no other Chicken Tikka Masala that is as good as the one we get here. Love the staff there as well

Very low quality food. Not even tasty. Portions are small. Won’t go back again.

This was our first visit to this place and we loved the taste, more of homemade authentic taste unlike other restaurants in bay area that serve mediocre Indian food. We ordered Kadhai paneer with Garlic naan, fish wrap and chicken kabab and all of them were delicious. Only the look could tell that it is going to test awesome. The service was quick and staff was welcoming. Another good part that it is open throughout the day unlike other restaurants which close the lunch time around 2 pm. I look forward to visit it again. As I went there in lunch time, I did not want to have any of the Chaat items but next time I am surely going to try it and I think they also have home delivery through doordash.

Would go back for the choley bhaturey. Pretty good. Papri Chaat could have been better. Service was quick!

Ordered for pickup! We had a feast if so many delicious items! We found this restaurant on Unilocal after having a craving for Indian food! Everything was tasty and spicy enough to our liking! Loved the garlic naan, lamb korma, paneer saag chicken tiki masala and chickpeas! Thank you so much for the mango lassi as it definitely adjunct our meals nicely! So happy to find this place! Thanks for the great personal service!

The hostess was really nice, and there were so many options. However, the food wasn’t as good as I’d expected. We ordered chilli chicken and Hakka noodles, mango lassi, spiced salty lassi, and Papdi chaat. The chilli chicken was very good. The others however, missed the mark. I wish the dishes were more flavorful. Price point was affordable and the space was clean and tidy.

I have been to this place a few times in the past and I was there today as well. I had ordered Chicken Kabab wrap, combo meal(Palak Chicken, Kadai Paneer). Combo meal comes with one naan and rice. This place is decent, service is quick and food is good as well. The portion is good as well.

One of the better run Indian cafes in SouthBay. Chats & Curries offers well done chat and home style curries. Highlight of this place is the Owner who has mastered the art of Customer service. My Faves Fish Pakora Samosa Chat Paneer Wraps Daily Specials Priced slightly higher than other café’s but worth it.

Love the katti rolls. Chicken tikka masala is just awesome. And the bhel puri was the best

Definetly not a good place if you want to have indian food. There are many other better options in the bay area. The most basic thing chai tasted like tea bag dip dip chai. The aloo mutter sabji which is difficult to go wrong had a weird taste to it. The panner tikka sabji was light orange in color and the paneer was just cut and added in the curry. There was no TIKKA in the Paneer TIKKA. I would not come here again.

Not a great place for vegetarians. Bhel is the most simplest and easiest to make– it was soggy and not good. Kadhai paneer was«today’s special» and there was nothing special about it. No salt no taste. Sorry! Never going back here. That One star is for the staff! Thank you for serving.

My boyfriend and I ordered the two lunch specials: Saag Chicken and Butter Chicken. Both came with rice and naan, and both were delicious! Personally, I like the Saag Chicken more, but my bf likes the Butter Chicken more. Mango lassi = got it for free by checking in here on Unilocal. It’s a thick smoothie, almost like a smoothie blended with mango pudding; like a creamy avocado shake texture. It was also delicious. Chai Tea(free self refills when dining in) was also nice and hot and delicious. For those who don’t know it tastes like it’s kinda like hot milk tea with a touch of cinnamon/spices.

They’re pretty close to the office, so I placed an order online for a lunch portion of butter chicken(comes with your choice of rice or naan) and picked it up not too long afterwards. If you are sensitive to smell, I would recommend a takeout order, because upon entering, the restaurant has a VERY strong odor. This may or may not be offensive depending on what you are individually used to, and I don’t know if it was coming from the kitchen or elsewhere, but honestly I don’t think I could sit through an entire meal actually IN the restaurant. As for the butter chicken, the sauce tasted authentic but there were maybe 4 pieces of meat, so basically it was like a really thick soup. I don’t think I’d order that again, but the people working there are really sweet and friendly so I may give it another chance.

I went here on one of my friend’s recommendations for the chat they have… like any other Indian place around San Jose, this is a small place in a corner of a strip mall… The place looked more like a takeout place… the interior was clean and you can see the staff constantly wiping and cleaning tables and other surfaces… that’s a good thing :) We ordered the paneer frankie… samosa chat… the chat arrived very quickly. it was spicy.tangy.crunchy.everything chaat should be… after sometime we got the Frankie too… it had big chunks of paneer marinated in an amazingly flavorful sauce. grilled to perfection… wrapped in a hot layered paratha… it was delicious… being the sucker for samosa that I am… I also got their samosas… these were very light and had a delicious potato and pea filling and were fried to perfection… I loved every bite of the food and I am sure I can go back.

2 stars for the lack of flavors. Samosas: very nice crispy shell but the potatoes inside had no spices at all. Tasted liked a smashed baked potato. Even the tamarind and mint sauce wasn’t enough to give it flavor. Chicken Korma: the chicken was very moist and nice but the sauce’s cream to spice ratio was off. It didn’t have enough spices. It was plenty hot but it wasn’t so flavorful. Hakka noodles with chicken: it was spicy hot but I couldn’t taste any other flavor despite the deep red color. It was very oily too. I consider myself a ‘pastaholic’ but after two bites, I left the rest uneaten. It was borderline yucky.

Order the samosa chaat, it was amazing. The mango lassi was perfect after eating the samosa chaat but the shrimp curry didn’t have much substance. The dinner consisted of a curry with rice and naan with two other broth based sides. Everything ended up tasting the same due to similar consistency and an overwhelming burning spice.

Went here with co workers and had a great time. Everyone enjoyed their food. As a vegetarian, I ordered the lunch special saag paneer and it was delicious. It came with two large pieces of nan and half plate of rice which was plenty. When I go to Indian buffets I usually overeat but the special was portioned just right and I was able to finish everything and not feel bloated. For seven people we each got a lunch special and also added three appetizer orders of papri chaat. That was a little too much, we probably only needed two orders. Everything tasted great. The rice was a little bit chunky but that made no difference when I soaked it in curry. The papri chaat was also very good and my co workers joked that it was like Indian nacho dip because of the crunchy round chips inside. Overall a very nice lunch spot. Food arrived quickly. I also remember the lady who took our orders at the cashier was extremely helpful and cheerful, not the faked cheerfulness but a very genuine happiness and enthusiasm to promote her restaurants food! It goes a long way to set the first impression. Another lunch spot discovered and filed away for future outings.

Came here for lunch on a weekday and it was still very crowded at 1pm. That’s the only issue I have with this place – it’s very small and there’s not enough seating. They have a couple tables outside but those where all occupied as well. You go up to the front to order and they hand you a number that you can put on your table so that they know who to bring the food out to. The food came out super fast – I’d say within 5 – 7 min. I ordered the chicken curry and garlic naan, and both were delicious! I should have gotten the curry at a more mild spice level, though. Their spice scale goes from 1 – 10, and I went with 5. It was pretty spicy… definitely spicier than your average«medium» spice level. Besides the slightly uncomfortable level of spice, the curry was great! The chicken was not dry at all, and the curry itself had a very interesting and complex flavor – they incorporated so many different ingredients and spices! I was a little bit bummed that the curry didn’t come with rice, but you can order a generous plate of rice for just $ 1.50 more. I’ll definitely be back!
