I have been to Madhuban for their lunch buffet and really liked it. However, I tried contacting them recently for a large catering order and they have been extremely unresponsive! I received the contact details of the owner from the event manager and tried emailing him a few weeks back. To which I got no response so I called and left a voicemail. Again, not heard back till date. I even contacted the restaurant and spoke to a staff member who took down all the details and my contact information and said he would pass it on to the manager. It’s been almost 2 weeks and still no response. I am extremely disappointed with their lack of professionalism. If trying to get in touch is so difficult I can only imagine how difficult coordinating the rest of the event will be.

Food was cold and taste was not good. Not worth for $ 15. I guess they add soda in food as after eating small plate i was full and bloating whole day.

When we arrived for dinner on a weeknight, we almost turned away because the place was completely empty… but I am very glad we didn’t! The food was excellent, on top of the main Indian dishes we had, we loved their«indo-chinese» options! The Manchurian chicken was delicious! And my fiancé loved their presentation and décor. Service was also very good! The wait staff was very attentive and the food and drinks came out fast. Also prices are very reasonable. Overall they did a great job and we will definitely be coming back

The food was ok but the customer service was horrible. There were only a few other people there but our food still took a very long time to arrive. When we finally got our food we had to ask them 3 times for some chutney. Will probably not go again.

The restaurant ambience is nice. However, we arrived at 5:15 and was told they don’t open until 5:30, even though the door was open. We were fine waiting, until second guy walked up to us to ask us how many in our party. We answered him and again, was asked to wait in the lobby. We didn’t move. Got taken to our seats by 5:27. Ordered our food as soon as we were able to. Mind you, we were the only customers in the restaurant the whole time we were there — 3 of us. Our food did not come out until 6:21! Yes, the food was delicious! That deserves the stars. But the service was less than expected. Since by then we were in a hurry to go catch our flight, when we asked for the check, that took all but 2 minutes and it was ready for us! Not sure I would return for the service. 6:21

Customer Service — Good Décor — Nice Cleanliness — Decent Food — Bad Tried their Saturday lunch buffet. Every food item was cold. This is not just about the taste but might pose serious health issues if the food(especially non-vegetarian) is served cold. Navarathan Koorma tasted like some bad dessert, Mirch Ka Salan was not at all Mirch Ka Salan but just a random dish with ‘Mirch Ka Salan’ tag, Jilebi had fishy smell(Looks like the oil used for deep frying jilebis was very stale). All in all, had a very disappointing experience.

Good food. but don’t make it a habit. because you won’t like it if you go there every day. Friends & family loved the place. location is good & easy to find. Ambience is nice too… Try their Parda Biryani. It’s good !

When you spend over $ 500 on Indian food, it is safe to assume you’ll get SOME naan! But not with Madhuban! I speak on behalf of my colleagues as I manage catering for my company. Although some loved Mahuban, the biggest issue for most was the level of spiciness! Especially the prawn dish we ordered. This paired with not a single piece of naan was a little much! The 3rd party we use for delivery does not provide any detail in menu items so it’s unfortunate to discover when you spend more than $ 500 it’s not enough for naan from Madhuban Indian Cuisine!

We first tasted catered food from Madhuban at a friends wedding this summer. We were very impressed with the fusion style and type of food that was served, as well as the way it was displayed. We also had the pleasure of visiting Madhuban and decorating for an Indian Sangeet Event. There was indoor and outdoor Morrocan Lounge Seating, an Outdoor area where food was served in individual stalls. Inside, there was a little low seating area set up for the mehndi/henna person and it was a huge hit! As well as a stage decorated with traditional Indian pillows and cushions. The venue itself was gorgeous, with antique carved archways and table — we are in love with this unique type of décor and look forward to visiting this venue again soon!

I’ve been to this establishment twice so far, both times with my father. I’m all about Indian food, especially if it’s all you can eat(AYCE). Usually we would go to Bombay Garden but over the years apparently the quality has gone down the drain. First time coming to this place, I thought that the food was just delicious! They had a good selection for the lunch buffet ranging from Tandori Chicken to Goat Curry. Now, usually I prefer garlic naan to regular naan but sometimes not all places carry that for the lunch buffets so I aint mad at that. I do remember coming out of the restaurant and being very content(maybe a little over too content) and sleepy due to the food coma that soon picked up and hit me. This afternoon, both my father and I returned to get the lunch buffet since I came back in town to visit friends and family after I flew up from the OC area. The food was still delicious, don’t get me wrong, but there just didn’t seem to be enough of it… which as you can assume is a problem for an AYCE place. At first I assumed they were wrapping things up, and then I saw a few more groups being seated 15 minutes or so after us. After being frustrated and irritated from waiting more than 15 – 20 minutes of the servers/workers not refilling the trays, we persistently nagged to one of the servers about this unacceptable issue. In addition to constantly telling us that they’re shortly going to refill things, another server ASSUMED we were done because we weren’t eating anymore. To which this point, we stated again that the food are is empty and hence there was no food being guzzled down and enjoyed as we once did before. I will give this to them though, the original server we talked to came back and was very apologetic and felt so bad that he let each one of us get a bottled drink from the bar free of charge due to the inconvenience. If anything, that’s the reason why I give them a 3⁄5 stars rather than anything lower. I did come out«content» and at least got a free beer out of it. *shrug*

The worst Indian restaurant in bay area; food visibly looks unhygenic. The worst thing is they ran out of food today across the board and later when they started replenishing, plates were out. Very poorly managed place in a great location. I wish this place gets taken over and completely overhauled. I feel like taking the management team to a restaurant like Vedas in Milpitas and have them look at the buffet and taste the food so that they can bring back some learning’s. Never again, crossed off my list. If you are in love with Imodium after your meal, have a blast at Madhuban.

The only words I can use to describe them is that they are crooks and liars. We had made the mistake of initially signing with them to cater our wedding, they lied and said yes yes yes to everything, and then started to say no. Our venue was in Monterey and had very strict rules which we had made clear before entering into a contract with them.(We sent emails to them explaining everything). We decided to cancel the contract and they gave us the run around over returning our deposit. Supposedly they are«successful» but the check they sent us for $ 2,000 bounced. They eventually paid us back after we stalked them at the restaurant, Ashwini(the most horrible unprofessional human being I’ve ever met) threatened to call the cops on me when I was sitting quietly at the bar waiting for his associate to give me my money. They eventually gave us our money back after rescheduling 3 times in the same day,(it was supposed to be a cashiers check) and gave us $ 20’s, $ 10’s, $ 5’s and $ 1’s at 11pm in their parking lot. Ashwini also had the audacity to try to add us on linked in after the rudeness and fiasco-testament to his delusional mindset. They also stopped answering our phone calls so we had to call from different phone numbers to get them to answer. I would seriously caution anyone against taking your business here. I have proof of the bounced check that we had to pay a fee to the bank for. SILVERLINING: we found an amazing caterer who actually served delicious food and did a great job at wedding. This misfortune did work out in our favor but really kicked off the wedding planning with a horrible start.

Food was good but the waiter really ripped me off on a glass of wine. Paying $ 11 for less about 3 oz of Acacia Chardonnay is an insult. A recommendation to the owner: train your waiters to pour minimum 5 oz of wine which it’s the standard. If they don’t know how much 5 oz is, then buy them individual wine decanters. Disappointed…

1. Pricy 2. Poor service 3. Stale food We ordered for Mango lassi and that was the horrible one I ever had. We finally asked them to take it back. The garlic naan was burnt and had to be replaced with fresh and good ones. Even those were OK-OK. This place was extremely pricy for the quality of food they offer. Briyani and Murgh kabab was OK! Murgh kadai mirchwala was the WORST of all! I would give this place a 2 star only for the ambience.

There are few places you can get an affordable yet delicious lunch in Sunnyvale– that is also filling and healthy. Off the Stick has great healthy options– but they are over priced. $ 5 for lunch is something I can do everyday– and now Madhuban is doing Way.com’s $ 5 holla meals! If you don’t know what this means– you should. Chicken Tikka Masala is awesome– but the Tandori(spicy) and Butter chickens are a close second. I enjoy the rice and other«stuff» on the side. I wish I could switch the naan for something else– but they don’t allow it as of now. Also it’s $ 1.95 for delivery through — I like to team up with my co-workers to save on the delivery.

One of the worst restaurants I have been to in my entire life! I cannot believe these people gave me stale burnt breads to-go for dinner! That’s after a good 15 minute wait. And I paid the full price. I’m posting the pictures of what I got when I opened the package. It’s shameful how any restaurant can give such pathetic food to a customer. I will never go to this place and advise my friends against going there too. No one in his/her right mind should eat this sorry excuse for food madhuban passed on to me. The owners are probably just greedy and they definitely don’t care about customer care.

I confess I am not fan of buffet type of meals but hey, this was pretty awesome! Abundant dishes, fresh from the oven bread, great curries… my favorite was the lamb. It was fantastic and even I promised the friend who introduced me to this new place for me that I would only eat a little of nothing(after all this was during lunch break, too heavy to go back and keep the engine going!) but could not resist to repeat. Chai was pretty good too, and I skipped the overly sweet sweets. The restaurant is very good looking, with tons of eye candy in terms of Indian décor if you are into that style. I loved it. From the little camel-chair at the entrance, to the intricate wood carved frames and tables, to the yellow rose(real and breathing!) in each single table. A very nice touch. No wonder this restaurant was crowded. Looks like is not the cheapest place to go for an Indian buffet but I think for the food and the charm is worth the price.

Just another Indian lunch buffet place, nothing great. Pros: Several options, both veg and non veg, for sides. Saag was made very well. Mutter paneer and dosa+potato curry(masala) tasted good too. Cons: Naans were all heavily buttered. Rice was super dry and hard to eat. Poor service. Place could be neater.
