First time eating here and it was pretty decent. Ordered the Pick 4 Breakfast which is right under $ 8 unless you pick items that have an extra $.75+. I chose the egg and cheese omelet(ask for real eggs or it’s the powder kind), chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, and toast. The omelet was okay but didn’t care much for the cheese they used. The chicken fried steak with country gravy was better than I thought but I’ve definitely had better. Overall the food and service was good enough to have me come back, but nothing I’d wake up craving.

Ordered an omelette with swiss. Can’t believe for the price they use cheese that is like plastic. The really cheap cheese that has a weird feel in your mouth. Barely touched my omelette that is $ 2.00 more than you’ll pay anywhere else. This place would have so much potential if they used decent ingredients. Tells me that they probably use all the cheapest of ingredients. Service was good, but I won’t be back. If you go — don’t order anything with cheese!

This is one of the few places I choose to eat for breakfast here in Stockton. I went with a friend and ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and was so good

I love this place! Everything I’ve tried here(Breakfast Lunch and Dinner) so far has been delicious. Except the Mac n Cheese. Friendly staff

food was ok. Not much for vegetarian options. Fries were soggy. Onion rings were good. Unilocal check in for 50% off 2nd entrée.

Very nice on the road café. It looks about forty years old clean with lots of nostalgia decorations. We had Kassie serve us and she was attentive and very nice the entire time. The menu has a large verity of choices, with reasonable sizes portions for the price. Trucker may want more but everyone in our group was full with some minor leftovers. There was no room for desert but the home town ice cream look tempting. I recommend people on the road and locals to enjoy this very nice restaurant.

This is my 2nd time in Stockton ca. My first experience at Perko’s was awesome. The country sausages were so good. But this morning I’m having the chicken fried steak. Service is great and the aromas wafting around just has my stomach growling

This place is great, been there a few times now and the customer service is awesome plus the food is the best. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience that old fashioned home made food.

Wish I could give a negative star, anyways food is ok but service USE to be good. Lately not so much. Seems to me certain customers are treated differently for some reason. Dumb on the waitresses part cause I always over tip, not today! Sorry lady those hillbillies you spent time chatting up cost you a good review and a generous tip. Shame on you. Taking my money elsewhere thanks

Very good simple food. Wait staff is pleasant and the place is clean. If you want a quick sit down restaurant, this is the place to go.

If you’ve ever eaten at a Perkins, this place will be very familiar to you. The food was mediocre. We were there at noon and found the waitresses to be efficient, attentive and friendly. I would have given the experience four stars, but I used the restroom before leaving and found myself subjected to nauseating Christian Music. I guess it’s supposed to show how Christian someone is… And perhaps tell atheists, Muslims, Jews and others that they are inferior. Wouldn’t come here again.

We go here a lot since it is close to my parents’ house and they do not cook anymore. Food is really kind of pricey when you think about what type of restaurant it really is. Food looks and tastes fine but like I said for the price, it is a disappointment. No type of discounts except the Senior which is 65. Nothing fancy and that is ok but needs a facelift, especially the furniture and décor but then again they will probably raise prices. Some of the staff are very friendly while others are not. The owners wife seems not so friendly and bossy to the other staff. She should be more careful in front of customers. They got rid of some staff because of personality conflicts. Sad

The BEST hash browns. The BEST veggie burger. The BEST onion rings. Friendly, natural service. Only regret is that it’s 200+ miles away from home so I won’t be able to make this a regular stop :(

Over the years I have come here for lunch with the Grandparentals(and still do). This place is like Cheers, where everyone who works here knows your name! Cute friendly chicks who give you service with a smile. They have updated their décor and their menu and I haven’t really had anything that was bad. It’s everyday diner food with generous portions. Dining area is clean, service is fast, efficient and consistent. Overall A solid 3 stars. I’m a rare 5 star giver, and a minus 1 star for the smelly bathroom — They really need to get that fixed.

Food was pretty good. Place was packed. My food was cold, but my hubby’s was hot. I asked waitress for a to go box(so I could take cold ham bacon and sausage home for a treat for the chickens) it never came. After waiting near 10 minutes I just left it there. My hubby had the breakfast rib eye. It looked so tasty he cleaned his whole dish. Oh also the coffee tasted a little a little burnt but that didn’t stop me from drinking 2 cups. No Splenda at this place, so I will also be jacked off regular sugar for the rest of the day.

I can’t give it four stars like some other reviewers did. Part of my dinner was ok but overall I’m thinking that I won’t go back. It’s been a few years since I have eaten at the Perkos… thinking back it was mediocre then and it is mediocre now. I ordered the two pork chop dinner that comes with either soup or salad, mashed potatoes and gravy and veggies. I told her to hold the veggies and give me extra potatoes and gravy. The salad was very good. good size and had tortilla strip chips on the top. nice touch. But that’s where the ‘goodness’ ends. The potatoes seemed homemade. had lumps in them. Don’t really mind that since I know that means they are not instant… or can you buy instant with lumps in them now? But the gravy they put on them was atrocious. Really weird flavor and too salty. Maybe it was setting on the stove condensing all day and was too strong? Then there were the two pork chops… on the thin side but good size. Ok, I am not a cook. but it looks like they dipped them in an egg wash, slapped them on the grill in the middle of a puddle of oil and then proceeded to douse them with garlic powder… maybe to cover up the fact they were off-taste? Anyway, that ruined the whole dinner. Nice homey restaurant, great servers and a great menu. Now if they could just get the food right… they would put Denny’s down the street out of business. I doubt that there will be a next time.
