Disappointing tonight. Hubby had the pulled pork burrito and ate less than a quarter of it. He said it was way too salty. I ordered the shrimp Fajitas. The shrimp were piled on top of the peppers and onions and were clearly not cooked on the grill. They tasted nuked. They were rubbery and unappealing. Ugh. Then — wow! Then, along with two flour tortillas, you get almost an 1⁄8th of a cup of shredded warm lettuce and that’s it. No avocado. Oh and if you want shredded cheese it’s a dollar more. How budget. I used to enjoy this place.

Today only. Just didn’t care much for the lack of courtesy the young girl behind the bar showed me today. She has no personality ND throwing a receipt down and walking away isn’t cool and or good business. No thank you no nothing. I’m a regular at this place and I have seen here there before. If she’s at the restaurant serving behind the bar I will turn around and walk away. You can teach skill but if there is no character that person working for you isn’t worth it. YOUAREFIRED!

Chuy’s has the best margarita! I’ve always said it and always will. Now… on to the food. Chuy’s has always had a little spot in my heart so I’ll try to be nice, but their nachos have really gone down hill. Really disappointing since this used to be our go to spot for some good nachos. They used to be so good, and the last two times I have bought them they have been super dry, and the shredded chicken tastes liked dry Turkey leftover from Thanksgiving. I had to squeeze two limes in there to make them somewhat flavorful. We don’t have much Mexican food here in Stevenson Ranch so looks like we’re going to Taco Bell or Del Taco for our next round of nachos. Which reminds me, we need a real authentic Mexican place in Stevenson Ranch lol. I’ll wait :)

I basically love this spot. I get the same thing every time(grilled shrimp tacos and a lemonade) and it’s delicious every time. My boyfriend always chooses a different burger and pairs it with their IPA(Castaway) and he loves it. Sometimes the kitchen can be slow, but food is always great and not too expensive. Usually between $ 30-$ 40 for dinner for both of us.

I arrived a couple days ago around 3pm for their Happy Hour specials. I ordered chicken taquitos(which were not good, they actually tasted better when I went home and microwaved them) and a Beer. This should have came out to around 8 bucks, 3 $ beer and $ 4 taquitos and it came out to almost $ 14.00. I even tipped an extra $ 3.00. I did not say anything to the host because this is just plain common sense and a huge factor in giving great customer service. If it is Happy Hour, I expect to have the Happy Hour Rate. But there are a few things that made this pretty much unacceptable. 1.) I was never given a receipt. Was not even allowed to look at it, she took my cash and placed it on some needle by her station. That’s never ok to do you ALWAYS give a receipt. It feels as if she knew that she could skim some money off the top of the bill which would be almost $ 5-$ 6.00. 2.) Just bad service, I don’t know her name and really have no need to try to place shame on her specifically but it was a short brunette lady. Anyways I sat down for about 5 minutes and no one came to help me. I’m a regular to some degree and I expected better. I suggest just sitting at the bar if you are having a simple order. Stephanie, I think is her name, Is probably the only reason that I would come back just because she is so awesome. These guys need to step up to her level of passion and commitment.

Tonight I ordered pork nachos & the shrimp skewer appetizer. The nachos were bland(the pork was really under seasoned), and the shrimp was like a salt lick(waaaaayyyy too much salt!). I think I’m going to stick w/the steak sandwich for next time.

Went in on 10÷5÷15, after a 1-year+ absence. I hadn’t been back in a long time because I remembered the restaurant as dirty, unorganized, bad service, and really bad food. The food at the time was bland, overly cooked, lacked in portions, and the presentations were shameful. On 10⁄5 I noticed that the restaurant was spotless, including what appeared to be remodeled restrooms. The staff was friendly and professional. The free tortilla chips were fresh and tasty, and the salsa is very good, and contains chunks of onion and tomato. The shrimp tacos were nicely sized, fresh, and the shrimps were plump and tasty. The tri-tip chili was fresh, tasty, and contains plenty of tri-tip chunks. The tri-tip sandwich was loaded with fresh meat, and the roll was perfectly toasted. Horseradish sauce is available in packets, which fresh horseradish sauce in a jar would have been better, so maybe I’ll bring my own next time. I was so happy and impressed that I thanked and congratulated the manager, and the chef. The Santa Clarita Chuy’s has made an impressive turn-around.

«Good food, strange service and layout.» BBQ Pork Sandwich is good but it was a strange experience where you have to go to the counter to order everything, even beer? Food was reasonably priced and this seems to be a local hangout at night for a few return bar flies. Visited July 2015

My boyfriend and I stopped here after a long day at Six Flags and it was absolutely worth it! They have reasonably priced food and their service was genuine and quick. I had the California Tacos. They were SO good(I’m quite picky) and the sauce was delicious! I really liked the atmosphere in there; self seating, moderate volume of music, order at the counter, etc. it was different but welcoming all the same. Worth the 5 stars! Would make this my taco place if I lived in the area!

For a great spicy Sat morning and an adult drink to start your weekend you can’t go wrong with Chuy’s. The menu may appear to be limited, however it will not disappoint. I ordered the chorizo burrito. I asked them to put the rice on the side. The food was delivered correctly and promptly. The staff seemed very happy with smiles on their faces. They were very responsive when I asked for a doggy bag. Overall a great dining experience! Have a wonderful weekend.

The service here SUCKS! I sat at the bar and was ignored. I ordered iced tea and requested sweetener and was told to get it myself at the register where they keep it, which was only steps away from the tatted up female bartender. WTF? On top of that they took other people’s orders that arrived after me because I sat at the bar. I would not recommend this place at all due to the poor service.

Dirty tables… the cashier was not friendly and incompetent. I ordered tortilla soup and it game with a garlic toast made from a cheap hot dog bun. The soup was broth and cheese that’s it… NEVERAGAIN

UPDATE: I read some other reviews and I bet you Carol R. below, had the same girl I am talking about. Nik and myself checked this place out. The decorating of the bar was interesting and unique however it kinds looks like all the Nic Nacs haven’t been cleaned in years, so I suggest to have someone behind the bar do some cleaning when its slow. I was really looking forward to eating here and was in a fabulous mood, but was turned off/pissed off right away by the brunette bartender with glasses that took our order. she gave us the menus and told us to come back to the counter to order when we were ready. I told her it was our first time here and how excited we were to try the food etc. We come back to her to order, I honestly cant remember everything that was ordered but in the middle of our order this female says to my bf, «You sure you haven’t been here before?» he says no, she keeps talking to him saying how he looks familiar etc, 90% of her attention is on my BF, she barely interacts with me, EXCUSEME B**** STOPTALKINGTOMYBFLIKE I’M NOTEVENHERE. WHODOESTHAT??? As a woman dealing with another woman’s man, I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she is just young and dumb doesn’t know she is insulting me by insinuating my man has been coming here behind my back? because i just told you 5 minutes ago that we had never been there. But she continues to insult me by not ever looking my way until she takes my order. I order 3 sliders, she just took my order and back to my guy went all her attention. Not knowing the whole time that I am the one with the money that is going to pay for this meal and what was going to be her tip… I was giving her some serious dirty looks just waiting for her to look at me so I could show her without a doubt my disapproval, when my sliders came, they were just burgers in a bun, nothing else. i asked a employee passing by our table if this was how the burgers come, he said no, you can get cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, anything you want, I said i just assumed they came with that stuff on them because she never asked me if i wanted anything on them, and the picture showed all the fixings on them. So he took my burgers and put everything on them for me that i wanted, and they were delicious. Just 2.00 extra. No problem. But realizing she didn’t ask me, just added more fuel to the fire that was burning within me. Before we left I brought it up to her, but she just wrote it off as my mistake saying I ordered the happy hour ones. Well thanks for bringing it to my attention I was just gonna get a burger in a bun after I’m walking out the door honey. Unfortunately, those little burgers were the only good thing about that place, so two stars for them, Of course Nik was loving the attention saying«see honey I told you, women want a piece of this Greek god«ha ha ha… yea yea yea … she just doesn’t know how cheap he is. lol Now I wont ever go back again, because if she is there, it will just remind me how ignorant she was and put me immediately into a bad mood again… no thanks. Bye Bye CHUY’S… Sorry I cant come back, sometimes its just all about the people you hire that ruin your business in the end.

Sorry to say, I am not a fan of Chuy’s. I have only been here one other time and it was so long ago I don’t really remember it. We came here super hungry, which should have played to their advantage. Normally everything taste better when your hunger. But actually lets back track and start from the beginning. Although the establishment was not the picture of cleanliness, it did not make us run in the opposite direction. Same is true for the ladies room. There were two separate doors for the girls bathroom, and just a thin piece of metal separating the two restrooms. Both sides were out of soap… I have nothing negative to say about the staff. Other than ordering the food we had no contact with them, so what is there to say. We ordered faiitas and when they came out we were kind of surprised that they were on disposable plates. They needed a lot of spicing up… Luckily the salsa bar had quite a few different types of salsas to enjoy. The food was not horrible. But, in my personal opinion it did qualify as good. They do offer free refills on their soft drinks but you have to take your cups to the bar area to have them refilled… There are so many other restaurants in this area that are much better. I do not think I would come back here anytime soon and I would not recommend it.

Chuy’s is a spot of legend in my BF’s family! For years I’ve been hearing stories of these kids growing up in SoCal, begging Dad to take them to Chuy’s, which was lucky because it was his favorite restaurant too! Where the tacos are as good as the burgers, salsa so delicious you’ll be tempted to drink it, and where the pretty ladies behind the bar are happy to serve up a beer or 5 to the big kids. A joint doesn’t have to be fancy to be special and memorable! So it was with great excitement I was finally able to visit Chuy’s with my BF on a trip passing through his hometown. To save a little dough, we opted to share their two-taco meal, requesting tri-tip tacos and loading up from their chips and salsa bar while we waited. The interior of the restaurant is good fun — like a biker bar and a cartoon got tipsy one night and made a wacky baby. But it adds a welcoming edge, and even though it’s a small chain, it bears no resemblance to any other restaurants I’m aware of. First things first: the chips and salsa were DOPE!!! Homemade chips, crispy and warm and properly seasoned. The regular salsa had awesome flavor, a great balance of tomato and cilantro, and enough heat to wake you up. The tomatillo salsa wasn’t as tasty but still worthy of the great chips. I won’t lie, I would so stop in for those chips and salsa if passing through town again! And then those tacos — OHMAN. Very simple — the meqsuite broiler portion of the restaurant’s name is put into action here, as marinated tri-tip hits the fire and is chopped into generous chunks before being loaded into a simple taco, with a corn tortilla per our request, lettuce, chunky pico de gallo and a shredded cheese blend. Just a DAMNGOOD taco — not necessarily screaming authentic Mexican, but a delicious combination of good balanced flavor. Rice was simple, very salsa-y, and the beans would probably have taster better to be refried, but that’s ok. It’s all about the star of that plate, and man did those tacos shine! I told my BF as we sadly hit the road to get back on the 5, if I lived down there I could most definitely see myself contemplating a meal and saying«I absolutely have to have Chuy’s tonight!» And so a legend and legacy lives on. I can’t wait to return and try more items! I suggest you do the same — make Chuy’s part of your family fun too!

Stopped by Chuy’s for the first time in 18 years. This was always a childhood favorite of mine and my brothers, thanks to my dad and I am happy to say the place hasn’t changed much. Aside from a few minor changes(no more stuffed animals with your number and updated arcade) everything is pretty much the same. Another minor change would be the chips and salsa bar. All those years ago they used to have the baskets and cups for the bar already set up for you to use. Now they don’t give you the chip basket until you order your food, which is probably a much better system. Though neither my girlfriend and I were particularly starving, we decided to share a taco platter. Two tri tip tacos, with beans and rice. The beans and rice are not over the top amazing, but they aren’t bad either. The tacos are simply put, orgamsmic. The tri tip has massive amounts of flavor, and is just incredibly juicy. As I did 18 years ago, I took a trip to the salsa bar. Filled my basket with chips, and two cups with salsa. Sprinkle some seasoning on the chips, and we are good to go. They are just as good as I remember, and the salsa is fantastic with just the right amount of heat Chuy’s will always have a special place in my heart. A lot of good memories were had here, and they are now a «must stop» location anytime we make a trip to SoCal.

I’m a long time fan of Chuy’s even though I no longer live in Santa Clarita! It was ages ago that I’d frequent this broiler/grill for its world-class tri-tip! Whether it was the tacos, or salad or sandwich, Chuy’s had it going on for classic California Broiler food. And it still has it going on! Pinch me, but those free chips and salsa still rock the Casba like nobody’s business! This is a down-to-earth, hole in the wall that literally hums with good food, good vibes, and stuff full of locals enjoying the eats. I brought a crew of people who never had Chuy’s in their life. The verdict? The cry of «I“m not worthy» and the beckon call of «take us here again!» I’d love to take credit and say«Damn, I’m good!» But that would be a lie! Chuy’s, you’re the one who is good!
