Ali Baba

I went there today with my husband, but we were turned away. The man who seemed to be in charge said it is not for women. Is this true? Is this a men’s club or something? If it is a full service restaurant, why am I not allowed simply because I am a woman? This is ridiculous, this is America and it is Circa 2015

This place is freaking awesome! Start with what you would like to drink full bar options even bottle service which I love 75 bucks for a 5^th u can’t beat that, the food is huge dinner style servings I’ve had the beef shawarma n beef tikka both came in there own plates loaded, rice came in its own huge plate and a big bowl of my fav Kari to put over the rice and beef shawarma! When ur all done eating n drinking time for a hookah to top it all off! I forgot to mention the sautéed mushrooms are amazing!

I have had this place several times as a carry out order and I’ve eaten here once for a family party. When it comes to service, this place was great. The orders are ready at the time they say they will be and the servers were very attentive when we ate there. I’ve had the beef kabob, rice, chicken tawook, tabouli, and fattoush in my overall visits. The food is flavorful and delicious; it has become one of my favorite places for Middle Eastern cuisine. I give it 4 stars for the lack of attention on the aesthetics of the place. While I’ve heard it’s getting remodeled, it still looks like it needs a lot more work in terms of décor. The bar is awkwardly placed in the back and if there are 2 parties present, they share the same bar… not something I would be ok with if I was hosting one of them. However, their food is so good and we’ve never left disappointed. Definitely worth a try!

The atmosphere is BETTER than most M.E. places in this price range (the photos only lie a little bit). My vegetarian combo was good to very good. Not great. I will for sure be back for their Meat Feast For Six, for $ 24.99 ! And, they serve alcohol. This place is a winner.

I have driven by this Restaurant many times and was curious to try it out since it is very new and the sign out front and name were cool.
Unfortunately, it did not live up to the cool sign and name and if I were the real Ali Baba I think I would want my name changed.
Upon walking in the front door you immediately notice that the carpet is old and torn up with cigarette burn marks. We did not let this stop us since we really came to try the food.
I won’t get into all the details except what I would change if I were owner. Please check that your silver wear is clean before wrapping it so nicely. Dirty silver wear kinda ruins the meal even before it makes it to the table.
Get a new bread supplier. The pretty good Humous was ruined with the paper tasting, thin and stale pita bread.
This bread above also applies to what the sandwiches were wrapped in. Simply stale. Server did not come back to ask how the meal was otherwise I may have been able to communicate all this in a more effective manner.
Since your so new, I would not feel right giving you one star. Get some hot bread and change that carpet and I think you will get more return customers.
