Amazing burger. Fish tacos were great, made with fresh catch of the day. Today was swordfish. Nice small area and grey place to eat if visiting the Salvador Dali museum.

I will be returning. We had brunch, sat outside and enjoyed watching for the airplanes come and go and even the helicopter. The food was good and the staff was friendly. great atmosphere.

Be sure to bring the wife her«correct salad» next time. And you wonder why you didn’t get a better tip. Caesar Salad… vs a Greens Salad. How do you get that screwed up? Always fun to eat here though.

We love this restaurant. For starters we can bring our dog and sit out on the balcony. Then there is the balcony that enables one to watch private planes land and take off. Off in the distance is Tampa Bay and you are right next door to the Salvador Dali Museum. The drinks are made to perfection and the food was a nice surprise. I had the Hanger Steak, which was cooked perfectly and my husband had a large salad with salmon. Service was very good, as well. This is why we keep going back.

Great mushroom ravioli with asparagus. Chicken quesadillas and bacon were great. Hanger chips were awesome. Left the room for the carrot cake.

I have been here twice and both times the food has been excellent. The first time I had a turkey club. Lots of places skimp on the meat and what you basically have is a lettuce and tomato sandwich, but not here. The balance between meat and garden was correct. The second time I had a hamburger with fries. They know how to do well done without making it dry. The fries were seasoned but not over seasoned or too salty. Prices are about right if you figure you’re paying for the food plus a couple of bucks for the airport view and aircraft memorabilia. That works for me but may not for some.

Really great spot whether it’s a quiet breakfast or a business lunch for 20! Tremendous service. Our group was very pleased with the space and the food. They also have music and a nice bar setup. And you can watch planes leaving Whitted Airport. Sailboats too. Right next to the Dali Museum.

This place is such a cool concept. You get to eat and drink while watching small planes and helicopters fly in and out on the grounds around you. Service– 2 stars Food– 4 stars From the beginning the service was borderline rude. They were a little bit busy so maybe they were stressed but more than one person had an attitude. Being our first time there we were a little confused and no one greeted us for a while, finally the hostess did and she was pretty nice. We were looking at the specials board while we were waiting and a girl got in front of us and started erasing them with out saying a word, it was weird and kind of rude. So we decided to wait at the bar. The bartender was not too friendly either. She seemed annoyed when we asked what vodkas they had, what wines, etc. My bloody mary was delicious though! Thankfully we got seated pretty quickly. We even got a table outside! It was shaded though so it was a little chilly, but we got up to look at the planes and stand in the sun for a little which was nice. I know we had drinks from the bar but the waiter I guess assumed we didn’t need anything else and I was dying for water. He seemed busy as well. Eventually he took care of everything. The next drink I ordered was a mojito. It is on the drink menu however they couldn’t make me one because they didn’t have any mint. bummer. You can’t substitute a salad for the fries, so I just got a salad as well. I’m convinced they accidentally gave me feta instead of goat cheese. Food took a very long time to come out. Again, busy I guess. But it was close to 45 minutes for mostly sandwiches. Overall I enjoyed the place. Watching the planes is cool, you can even take a helicopter ride! I think I would give it another chance if I was in the area again.

Although it was cloudy outside, my server Sunny made it sunny inside. Her parents named her right cuz her name fits her personality. The Hanger is cool. There’s a plane inside and the tarmac outside. Definitely a unique vibe. It’s spacious and clean. Outdoor patio seating would be great on a sunny day watching small planes come and go. Unfortunately for me it was«cold» and the airport was being changed over after a grand prix. ESPN used The Hanger as their command center. Oh… The food. I had a waffle, eggs n bacon. Plus coffee. It was as expected. Primarily, tho, go to The Hanger for the experience. It’s fun.

Came here with my girlfriend to meet up with my best friend and his girlfriend before visiting the Salvador Dali Museum. We arrived first, and after a brief wait, the staff sat us down and got us our drinks while we waited for our friends. Let me say that the view is incredible, with nice views of parts of Tampa Bay and of the airfield. We watched a number of planes take off and land. The atmosphere of the place was a mix of casual and upscale. The restaurant doubles as a lounge for people using the airport and so it is a bit casual, though the décor, overall atmosphere, and the food speak to an upscale experience. Speaking of the food, The Hangar offers Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, with a number of options for each. They also have an impressive bar selection, though we didn’t sample any of that this time around. We all ordered off of the breakfast menu, and our food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Our server, while friendly, did not stop by as often as she should have, which prevents a 5 Star review. Also preventing 5 stars is the parking, which is, in a word, sparse. Which is unfortunate, because this place is amazing in all other ways. I’ll definitely be returning once I’m on spring break!

We had our family reunion at the Hanger today and all 12 of us had a great meal and great service. While we ate we enjoyed watching small planes and helicopters taking off and landing from our window seats. Great great place! Highly recommend!

Helllllllllllllllllllllo mimosas. You can order a small or large. Who orders the small? Awesome brunch spot especially if you have kiddos. Love the ambiance of the flights taking off during your meal and keeps the kiddos occupied during the VERYINSANELYLONG wait to eat. The food took almost 40 minutes to come to our table, after we ordered. We had good service but after waiting nearly 30 minutes to get seated… then another 40 to eat, they were starved out. The upside — not a wasted bite! I had the crispy shrimp and 3 cheese grits. It was AMAZE. I love grits and adding cheese just makes my heart and belly supa dupa happy. Hubs indulged and shared the chicken and waffles and they were so so delish as well. We took some cool photos outside of the flights taking off and hope that next time we don’t have to wait so long for our lunch. It was definitely worth it in the end but took up a lot more time than we would normally allot for a brunch WITH our kids in tow.

I took my husband(who’s in the aviation industry) here for a surprise date. They didn’t take reservations the night we went because of an event at the Mahaffey Theater next door. It was first come first serve so we arrived early and had no problem getting a table outside. It was a mild breezy night and we enjoyed looking out over the airport. We like craft beer and our server was happy to tell us about the beer on tap, and what we ordered was delicious. We had heard their burgers are good so that’s what we ordered and they were. Everyone at the restaurant was friendly and the prices were reasonable. We will go back.

All I have to say is the chicken and waffles are to die for! Best chicken and waffles I have ever had! Also another favorite of mine are the Gouda stuffed meatballs! Our business meets here often and we get the private room Ata really good cost. Love coming here in the evening to watch the planes come and go.

The hangers and unusual concept for a restaurant /bar. It appears that they have too many private events going on the same time, maybe its just this time of year but it was kind of hectic and kinda all over the place with fences of the people not being able to pass over and not understanding why because they were no specific signs. I went with a meetup group that was a large group of people over a hundred people but, it was expected in the restaurant and bar knew about it so they were expecting us. It was quite difficult to get waited on and it was impossible to find seating but hey it was a large group in that was to be expected. When you sit at the bar or wherever, they just ask you what kind of wine you want or beverages don’t tell you anything about the specials. We ended up paying $ 10 for a glass of wine which we got a comfortable one for $ 6.50. Hey I know I know I know, but you know there’s a big difference and $ 3.50 per glass and the wine was not significantly better. We ordered a quesadilla of mushroom brie cheese and sundried tomato but, I may be forgetting an ingredient. It was served with sour cream & salsa. it was excellent. Take aim of this side of sour cream and salsa. The salsa was okay, nothing memorable and not too spicy. As far as an appetizer to share it was good, put a little sour cream on top, a little salsa, and eat your way to having something solid in your stomach to be drinking. It really was a tasty combination. Unfortunately they lost a lot of food that night as it was difficult to get a menu, let alone order. The bar staff for having such a heavy night of patrons was question congenial and tried to do their best to keep up with what was going on around them with the different. Private parties. Gotta say the Hanger lost a lot on potential booze sales, as hard to even get to bar. I gotta say the Hanger royally messed up by getting greedy. Our party had over 200 people & many were turned away at the door or told to wait an hour. It appears to be a nice place to visit and the sites out the windows were absolutely gorgeous. We were unable to go out on the porch as their was a private small party, they put in same area as our group, but kept them segregated, causing a great deal of friction & comotion. Very poor planning on management’s part. You can’t please all patrons at 1 time, when you majorly over book your venue. For a first visit, chaotic, way too loud, no room to mingle & poor service, which was not the service staffs fault. Kow your agenda & stick to it, getting greedy, just pisses all the customers off. This was a Toys for Tots donation drive, that I attended. I certainally never expected it to turn into a battlefield! What’s a girl to do? Well when you go out for a special event, you need to have some food in your stomach before you start drinking. This evening should have been much nicer!

Been here a handful of times for lunch and breakfast. Everything I’ve ordered is fantastic. Lunch sandwiches are all great, especially the turkey club and the wraps. Breakfast options are super solid. Burgers are above average. I tend to bring visitors here b/c of the unique airport dining views & experience. Pros: Food, Cool airport setting, service, draft beer selection Cons: Prices are a little high for what you get, dinner menu seems to be aimed at seniors

3 stars for the location, it’s fun to watch the planes take off and land. It’s a very active area happening place. Full menu and bar and I think there is a night life with live music. Service is decent(busy time) although Jeff thought the waiter was a little rude. I guess he didn’t appreciate me face timing my precious Harper Anne but I think he was just busy. Food was ok. Jeff got the pulled pork and cole slaw. I just got a small Caesar Salad, it was okay. Again atmosphere makes the place.

Came here for lunch with co-workers after a work function in St. Pete. This place is right at the airport(appropriately named). Everyone kind of ordered the daily special or a burger but I knew to check Unilocal ahead of time and I got their Chicken & Waffles! I would come back to St. Pete just for this dish! I’ve had my fair share of chicken & waffle dishes throughout the country but this one was unique. There were chicken tenders(«Ashley Farm free-range» chicken) that were smothered with a sausage gravy. The tenders were juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside even with the gravy on top. The sausage gravy has flavor and wasn’t bland which some sausage gravies can be. The Belgium waffle was perfectly done and soaked up all the gravy in the crannies. There was also a side of spicy maple syrup that was delightful. I am salivating now as I write this! The dish was big. I actually had leftovers which I so enjoyed the next day! This was such an unexpected thing to eat! Service was standard and atmosphere was open and you had a view of the small tarmac.
