Everything about this place seemed intimate and classy. As I am travelling, I went in alone to find a cool place to watch a little hockey that was not filled with too many dudes, and I could actually hear myself think. I had the Hefeweizen beer which was excellent, and ordered the recommended Fish and Chips. Nice and simple. I asked for some British Beers, Ales, and I hope one day they get some Theakston Ales for their patrons will not be disappointed. The Barkeep Ben and his female assistant(did not get her name:() were very friendly and great to hang around. I took Ben’s recommendation on the beer and the fish and chips which were both superb. For dessert, I ordered a specialty coffee liquer and fresh coffee with real cream. I walked out feeling just full enough and with a great experience as well. This is a place where you can bring your special lady and not have to shout over other patrons. There were plenty of nooks and crannies to stretch out in and they even had an outside bar for better weather socializing! This place seems like a place that I can be a regular in and I like the welcoming feel. Food and Beverage were super and I would definitely recommend this place if you wish for an intimate experience, in a central location, without all the smoke and noise. I will be back and told Ben that can’t wait to bring my wife too !

The wings. Get the wings. They are smoked and fall off the bone tender. The burger I had was okay and my husbands chicken club wasn’t bad, but was nothing memorable. The service was great and the tvs were visible from all locations in the restaurant. We will be back for the outstanding wings and some cold beers for sure.

Ordered two sandwiches and an appetizer during a not busy time and food was(surprisingly compared to other reviews) not bad. But the service made me want to get behind the bar and do it myself.

Amazing food, wonderful staff! I feel like they really tool the Unilocal reviews to heart as our wings were plump, wet, and smokey the bbq pulled pork so full of flavor I couldn’t even pinpoint one particular ingredient! The flavors blended amazingly well. The mac n cheese was unbelievably creamy and delicious. We even got a beer tasting from the(bartender?) when I mentioned we were craft beer newbs. Our server was great too, recommending things and making sure we stayed happy without being intrusive. Great experience, can’t wait to try more!

I may be biased because I really miss the Lobby, but last time I was at Caddy’s, there was a terrible odor by the inside bar. We mentioned something to the bartender and manager who were both nearby at the time and they dismissed us like we were crazy. Trust me, it stunk! Anyway, we took our drinks to the outside bar, finished them, and moved along.

Really good food and nice service as well. This place has a huge outside patio area with cornhole and jenga, they also do karaōke night. There is an outdoor bar on the patio as well as a bar inside. It seems small at first but has a lot more space inside with a billiard room. The drinks were well priced and they have different happy hour deals throughout the week which will save your wallet. To eat I had one of their burgers, the Coup de Ville, and it was great. It came with a fried egg bacon and avocado. The portion sizes were large and the sides tasted great.

Came here to see the game on a Sunday. My drink was all mixer no alcohol. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, it lacked flavor and buffalo sauce & found a nice black hair in it. after eating the other half. Bartenders weren’t very attentive. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

If you’re looking for a trendy and popular place to hang out in downtown St. Pete, this is the place. Plenty of TVs whatever game is on and plenty of open space, both inside and out. The only downside, don’t come hungry, the food is only mediocre at best. Had the wings and ribs appetizer and wasn’t really happy. The ribs were undercooked and the wings were only slightly better. So, stop by for drinks but eat first before getting here. Oh, lastly, great place for First Fridays watching but get here early to get a table if you’re with a group.

My friends and I have been coming to caddys in central to watch football every sunday. It has MANY TVs and the NFL ticket which is great for us as we all have our separate teams. The downside to this is that they will change TVs depending on requests(usually for second set of games). There was an amazing restaurant/bar in Phx I used to watch football at called Zipps and they would pre-label all of the TVs for the morning and afternoon games. It was really nice because you could position yourself accordingly and it kept the staff free to take care of patrons vs running around trying to change TVs at request. Now to the food. The wings are kinda fatty and maybe some people like that, I don’t. They were moist and the sauce was pretty flavorful. One of my biggest pet peeves(and maybe someone can tell me why restaurants do this) is this trend of charging $ 0.50 or a $ 1 for extra ranch or blue cheese. WHY can this not be built into the price? Some people use more, some use none. The Mahi Sandwich is quite tasty. SO is the chicken club(I think it’s called the Caddy’s Club). The chicken nachos are not that great. I would prefer shredded chicken vs cute up and cubed. It just looked like processed cheese and processed chicken with a black bean or two. I definitely think their sandwiches are where it’s at. I was hard-pressed to give them less than 4 stars because they have good service, tons of beer options, decent drink specials annnnnnd the NFL Sunday Ticket. As hard as we try, we have been unable to find a comparable sports bar downtown. Pro-tips: Sandwiches are the best. They have NFL ticket. Patio is where it’s at. 10 $ Pitchers(select beer).

Came here for the Gator football viewing party for the Olé’ Miss v. Florida game last weekend. I enjoy the vibe of this place– a big outdoor courtyard as well as some smaller indoor areas. Lots of TVs for sports viewing. Decent menu– though not extensive. French fries were crispy and I enjoyed that! Service was good– we hardly ever had empty drinks on the table. A good addition to the St Pete nightlife.

What ever happened to customer service? We were so looking forward to a reputable business taking over this place, and it looked promising, so we were so excited to give it a try. Do they actually train staff here? First, our waiter looked like he had been pulled from a casting call looking for extras in a film about dirty hippies. It took forever to get waited on, and the place was pretty dead, so I’d hate to see how this guy deals when they’re actually busy. We ordered our drinks, and the guy brought the bill. We asked, «What if we wanted to start a tab?» He started rambling incoherently about people ditching without paying. When we pointed out that a tab would involve them having our card on file, he made some kind of snide remark about not being a drug dealer. Not real sure what this guy was smoking, or where he got his bar tending credentials and customer service skills, but what we thought was going to be a great addition to the downtown scene is a major dud. So many other downtown establishments deserve my time and money that I won’t be wasting either at this place again. Maybe Caddy’s should have just stayed a beach bum.

For those who read my reviews, or give a damn, I am already a Caddy’s fan. I am a regular«on the beach», and after just one visit here. WOW! Great job guys. This is a welcome and needed addition to the downtown St. Pete list of bars. The place looks great inside, rustic theme, but it works well. The beer selection is excellent, would love to see a few more micro’s on the list, but still found something to enjoy. The service was outstanding! Can’t say enough about the level of service, but this is what I have come to expect from this management team. And then the FOOD. This was just awesome! Our party couldn’t stop talking about how great each and every dish was: the wings, sandwhiches, fries, burgers, etc… Bar food made with some serious skill and polish. Can I say, best damn wings in St. Pete!!! There are 3 bars, lots of space to spread out, and outdoor seating. So, if you are looking for some great fun, food, etc… this is a must go! Congratulations to Management and Owners of Caddy’s on Central.

First time coming to this location for the start of football. There was a private raymond james event forcing all us «regular folk» onto the hot patio(for the first game?). The inside wasn’t even that packed, seems like a sure way to lose customers if you’re gonna try and market yourself as a sports bar. I was very disappointed with the food. Nearly all of the sandwhiches and entres are pre-made. Even the wings which were supposed to be smoked were definitely either saline or water pumped making them pretty gross. One of my friends also had an undercooked item. To top it off the satellite TV went out early in the game forcing us to go somewhere else. The only good thing here was our server. She was very sweet and apologetic about the food and was attentive to our drinks. Probably never coming back again Edit: I forgot to mention but they had a wing special listed on their website and would not honor the pricing that was advertised

On a recent bar hopping excursion, I stopped into Central Avenue Sports Bar with a group of friends. The place was dead other than a couple people sitting at a table in the back. The bartender was friendly and offered us some shot suggestions when we asked. For the size of the shots, I think they were slightly overpriced. It’s not like we were getting top shelf liquor or anything. There was a man playing music outside when we arrived, but inside was a girl singing karaōke. As I’m sure you could guess, it was not very impressive. We had our shots and swiftly left.

I’d love to give this place 5 stars because the service at the bar was phenomenal. Every bar tender was super nice and accommodating. Drinks were reasonably priced. The reason for 3 stars was the quality of the food. It was pretty bad. The chicken nachos had very little toppings on top. The fish dip was tiny and tasteless. After trying these two items we decided to go elsewhere for dinner…

First time here. We were visiting the market. There’s great shade outside and good music. Beer special needs a little help. The corona was cold but needs more lime. We ate the meatballs. Ummm yum and enough for two for a bug snack. Also had chips and salsa. Salsa seems out of a jar but chips were good. The service was pretty good. There were enough servers around that if you needed something you can wave one down.

Unexpectedly great!!! My friends and I stumbled upon this place while looking for a lunch spot. There are so many options in this area but the $ 1 beer sign got us. I ordered a chicken cesar wrap with fries. My friends got the black bean pico de gallo and a chicken curry soup. Everything we ordered was amazing!!! The service was also friendly. I’m just so happy we stopped in to this place. If you’re looking for great food and cheap drinks, come here and enjoy a game.

Well I have mixed feelings about the Central Avenue Sports bar. I’ve been here a couple of times and the food was pretty good. I’ve tried the flat bread pizzas, the cowboy caviar and the wings. Everything was good but the wings were great, definitely something I would get again. I like my wings crispy so they grilled them a little longer and put the sauce on the side and it was perfect, the flavor was the wings were so good, I really didn’t even need to use the sauce. They area that I have some issues with is the service. It’s usually not very good service. We had a group 8 to 10 people in the bar area. The servers rarely came over to see if we needed anything else, when we did need something it took them forever to return with beer or our check, often we just had to go to the bar to get what we needed. There were a few times that we needed service but the server was just standing there having a conversation with someone at the bar rather than checking on the tables she had in the bar area. IN addition, the servers in the bar area had an attitude when we needed our check and we asked again since we had been waiting at least 10 minutes. The last time the service was better but we were at an outside rather than the bar area. So overall the food was good but the service needs help.
