Great food and great service. The homemade ranch is the Best! Thank you Tammy for being such a wonderful server!

We just finished eating here and we did not have a good experience. The nachos came out with barely any cheese on them, and when we asked for a little more for the completely dry chips, they charged us $ 2.00 extra. They forgot the salsa and the sour cream also. So $ 9.00 for chips and lettuce. The server was not friendly nor was anyone who we walked by who worked there. The grilled chicken sandwich is dry with no flavor. Basically, find another restaurant.

Go for the wings! Fried then grilled, they are huge, juicy, and flavorful. We went with the hot pepper, which was buffalo with red pepper flakes. Not as hot as I would’ve liked, but very very good. I also had the spinach side salad, normally served with a bacon dressing, but I had it with Bleu cheese on the side. Very fresh, very veggie. Will be back!

I really like this place. The drinks are super cheap at happy hour and the service is consistently friendly and prompt. It seems like there is never anyone in there though. Maybe they get busy at night? I usually only do happy hour. Their wings are the best I’ve had in St Pete, they’re finished on the grill, which gives them that smoky flavor and they’re pretty big with lots of sauce. Blue cheese needs some help as it’s watery. It’s kind of dark and dreary in there. No outside light gets in. They have pool tables in the back. It’s a decent place, I just don’t know why more people aren’t there. They probably have the cheapest happy hour in town. Half off most drinks 4−7pm. A well vodka ended up being less than $ 2. I think if they lightened up the place a little more and possibly advertised more, this place would do better. Best wings in town as well as cheapest drinks, hands down.

Tuesday is 50 cent wing night and they are AWESOME, but they are really just a vessel for their blue cheese dressing which is the best I’ve ever had. Good happy hour and nice pool tables too.

Not good. This place claims that everything they make is char-grilled and it’s just burnt.

While the décor is in desperate need of an update, the food is generally good and the service is pretty good. The wings are awesome and burgers amongst the best in St Pete.

Food is great. Had wings which are half grilled and fried. The beer selection was adequate but they were out of the beer the server told us about. The hot pepper wings were excellent. We love this place but Saturday night they were not busy and the service was horrible. We just kept waiting it was so bad we waited in 20 minute intervals. She just didn’t get it. The appitzer was brought out with the dinner and then we chased her down all night. I will still come back but they need to hire better servers. L__r_needs to be more attentive. Too bad

They serve frozen food — chicken fingers. Sat at the bar for at least five before we were acknowledged. Didn’t make my drink with advertised brand of vodka. Won’t be back.

Not good, but not bad. Came here on a big game night, got in early to snag a hightop in front of the tv. Typical bar food… but we like their wings. However, we always seem to forget about wing night on Tuesday! Our server was a little green as she had trouble judging when to bug us and when not too. Oh well. We avoid sitting at the bar because the two times we have, the service was seriously lacking(pretty much because of the size of the bar and I’ve never seen more than one bartender working at a time).

The only way to describe Midtwon is «Meh». With an outdated, schizophrenic ambiance(Billiards! Quiet Dining! Tvs from the 80s! All in one place!) and a menu straight from Cisco, there’s not much going for this place. What’s sad is that with the right management, Midtown could really create a ‘Cheers’ atmosphere instead of the ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ vibe it’s rocking right now. PROS: Quick service(b/c A: we were the only ones in there and B: it doesn’t take long to reheat Cisco packaged, pre cooked foods), location, validated parking, friendly servers(possibly because they’re dying to speak to ANYOTHERHUMANBEINGS). Excellent layout and building, if only management would take advantage of it. CONS: here’s how to describe every dish on the menu: generic, dry, tasteless. If you’re lucky, you’ll come across a dish with ‘sauce’, and by sauce I mean ‘orange-colored butter’. If the prices were in line with the food and atmosphere, more people would be there. Right now, though, their prices are suffering from a severely inflated opinion of the food quality and ambiance. Either lower the prices to the bar-food-establishment you really are, or step up your culinary game.

Day/time of visit: weekday lunch Atmosphere: casual, sports bar Looks like a typical sports bar, imagine it’s packed and rowdy on event nights, lunch was low key. Started out with some fried green beans — these were great and the accompanying ranch wasabi dipping sauce was awesome. Ordered a club sandwich and coleslaw side — club was nothing special and coleslaw was boring(kinda wished I had ordered fries or homemade chips and gone whole hoggy ;) Prices are reasonable for the quality/quantity/type of food. Would revisit but it’s not going to be on my ‘favs’ list.

I was a bit skeptical after reading some of these reviews, but with the restaurant offering to validate your parking garage ticket by dining in AND the shuttle to the Rays game being across the street… we decided to try. I thought the menu was beyond«typical bar/pub food» and they had some good selections on the menu for a sports bar. We ordered a burger and an order of wings because we only had an hour to spend before getting on the trolley. Our waiter was very quick, attentive, and he was very confident in telling us that we could be out within 40 minutes. I thought the food was pretty good– nothing to blow you away but certainly a good meal. The bread on the burger really made it for me, tasted very fresh and just made it a quality burger. The wings were good and although the Jack Daniel’s bourbon sauce was good, I think it could have been coated on the wings better– it was a tad watery. Still, they were nice size and I enjoyed them. We will be back again, next time to have a few drinks at the large bar we saw when walking in. For free parking and a free ride to the Trop, dining here is almost a no brainer before games… that nearly pays for your meal/drinks!

What this place needs is an episode of restaurant impossible. It’s a restaurant, sports bar, billiard area(great tables) banquet room and I’m not sure why I would come to the restaurant, they can hardly manage an appetizer, if they remember to serve you while playing pool. It’s nothing a restaurant planner and chef couldn’t fix pretty quick. We come for the only real pool tables in town and the excellent selection of craft drafts. Otherwise this would rate a 2. One step over fast food.

FOOD This place offers typical sports bar food fare and at the typical prices. Nothing has really WOW-ed me. You also get the expected quality and taste of similar sports bars. AMBIANCE It’s always been a small crowd away from a ghost town – even on game nights! Please explain why!(It was suggested to me by a patron that – although good – the drink specials don’t line up well with potentially busy times — like nonexistent drink specials during big sports nights) Plus it’s hard to compete with the World of Beer nearby SERVICE Servers are smiley, helpful, and have been great at describing and suggesting items for newbies.

I visited Sundries after a 5k at Vinoy park so I was just super dehydrated and needed a place to chill. It’s a pretty classic bar/restaurant lounge and it’s interesting that it’s located on the first floor of taller buildings. They have a parking system but I didn’t get the details on it. The food is not bad at all. They have some good happy hours. A good place to just have a drink, some food and to hang out with friends. They also have a few pool tables and a juke box for entertainment.

Holy shitballs this place was absolutely some of the worst food I’ve ever had. If you don’t feel like reading, I’ll just sum it up real quick and tell you that you should save time and money and head to Wendy’s or McDonald’s or anywhere else. Shit, go grab a Hungry Man frozen dinner from Walmart if you feel compelled, it would be fine dining next to Sundries. Still reading? OK so I ask the waitress what the«Wrap of the Day» is. Turkey club wrap. Wow, sounds like a normal ass wrap to me, but sure, it sounds good. Lay it on me. Give me a side of the«Soup of the Day.» Chicken and rice? Whoa bro, you freaking blew my world to pieces. I asked what was on the turkey club wrap. Waitress says, «Everything that is normally on a turkey club.» OK, sounds safe. Took a bite… since when the hell is Swiss cheese part of a normal turkey club? Wtf. Picked that shit off real quick. Wrap tasted like ass. More ham than turkey, extremely salty and low-quality slimy lunchmeat, barely any lettuce or tomato. Side note, our waitress looked high as a kite from the beginning. My initial observation was proved correct(or she could have just been a special Olympics escapee) when my girlfriend and I switched seats before she brought the food so I could watch my badass Eagles beat the Steelers… they didn’t :(Anyway, you should have seen the look on this chick’s face when she brought our food out. She looked like she emerged from a 200 year sleep and was serving food to the Jetson’s, I thought she might cry after we let her stand there dumbfounded for about 30 seconds. Sorry lady, maybe you can cut it as a fluffer.

This an old stand by that has been there for a long time and is a good place for after work happy hour or late night after a Ray’s game. Nothing fancy. .. they have your standard bar food and drinks. A couple of things to point out are Thursday night all night 2 for 1 draft beer and all wines and free parking in the McNulty Towers lot on the 3rd floor or higher. They also have a lot of tv’s and a couple of pool tables. It is never that packed and they can easily take a large group.

Midtown Sundries is always a great place to grab some food or drink… more so now. Every Thursday is now 2 for 1 draught beer and ALL wines…4 to close I think. That’s pretty cool. Also, mgmt. is now carrying more craft beers, bottle and tap. They even have Delerium on tap…2 for 1. Craziness. My last visit I was able to enjoy their fajitas(and some wings)…which will give Chili’s a run for their money any day… absolutely delicious. Wings as always are fairly sized and good… I recommend the Pepper Sauce… not too mild… but not nuclear. Great ambience inside, never a bad crowd in this place. Students and professionals seem to be the norm. A few pool tables and plenty of TV’s to see the game round out the good times. For groups or events, a large private room is available. As others below have mentioned, free parking in the parking garage(show server or bartender your parking stub and they will give you blue«monopoly» bills that are inserted into the exit reader at the gate to get out. Mgmt. tells me new food and beers are coming — no doubt to compete with World of Beer which just opened a few blocks west of here… competition is a good thing. Amanda at the bar keeps things flowing with her friendly charm and quick bartending… and she wears short shorts… and that too, is pretty cool. Unilocal !!!

So I haven’t been here for a while and was hesitant due to some recent bad reviews bad I can tell you they’re wrong! They have a great craft beer selection now. I was shocked! And on Thursday buy any craft draught beer and get a second free, that’s on top of the regular happy hour specials of two-fers. There’s still free parking at the McNulty parking garage, direct elevator access, it’s dimly lit, with great music playing and on the night we went, although quiet when we walked in, was packed by the time we left at 7:00. The bar had a good crowd, there were three private parties and a good mix of locals, visitors and after work crowd. We started with the ahi tuna($ 8.99) which was nicely done and a nice presentation but could have been served a tad colder, that’s just my preference. Also had the chicken tenders with barbalo sauce, their own blend of buffalo and barbque,($ 6.99) these tenders were huge pieces of nicely crisp white meat. Others had the brunswick stew($ 4.99 a bowl) which is nicely done with shredded pork, corn, beans and a hint of barbque sauce. Really good. The smoked fish dip($ 7.99) was also delicious, very smokey which we like and served with sliced tomato, red onion, and mixed crackers. Their plans to move got changed so they’re staying put for now which is ok with me. I really like the atmosphere here and combined with the awesome music they were playing along with the nice beer selection and decent food it’s back on our list for repeat visits!
