We went pretty early in the evening, so we got a table right away, and the food was out pretty quickly. Their garlic bread was delicious, the fresh bread was ok, but nothing too exciting. I liked the house salad, the dressing was a yummy vinaigrette and was smothered in fresh cheese. The portions were pretty large, which is good because the prices are moderate. My tortellini was dense and creamy, and Andrew’s seafood pasta was delicious filled with lots of garlic. We got the lemon ice for dessert, which was light and refreshing, although a little sweeter than I expected. All in all, a pretty good meal that didn’t disappoint.

I have dreams about this place. No joke. I had a chicken dish(Sicilian Chicken, I think?) and it was maybe the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. It was tender and perfectly seasoned, and just slightly crispy. We had to wait something like 40 minutes to be seated, but the service was pretty good. I wasn’t crazy about the ambiance, and the location could be better, but GOODGOD, that chicken… And in response to the previous review, it sounds like an unpleasant experience, but preparing food for a group is quite tricky, so I’d be reluctant to form an opinion of a place just based on that sort of situation. Just a thought.

Ooog. We were here for a rehearsal dinner, and it was disappointing in the nicest way possible. The groom’s father had told us about how great the food was here and that his other son’s reception was here, etc., so I was really looking forward to my meal. We had a choice of entrees, so I chose the«pasta primavera» as it’s spring and I like me some veggies. What I got was a pile of baby carrots, frozen broccoli and cauliflower on top of some penne and a literal oil slick. Huh?! It’s The freaking HIll, ground zero for the Italians in St. Louis! My husband had the filet mignon with a twice-baked potato which was better, but not Italian. We had ice cream pie with amaretto/chocolate sauce on top which I thought was pretty good, but it was probably because the pasta was so disturbingly bad… Good wine, though. And shit, the whole thing was free, so I guess I shouldn’t be bitching that much…
