Pizzeria Tivoli is by far the best ITALIAN pizza I’ve eaten since I have lived stateside! From knowing what authentic Italian taste like from living overseas and living in many other states they impressed me and my guy who lived overseas as well! I wish they would also add spaghetti as well cause I love pasta and pizza also on Tuesdays they have a buy 1 pizza get one ½ off.

This place is on the top of my list for pizza in St. Louis! Cute, cozy neighborhood pizza place. The kind of business I love to support and deserves more attention then they currently receive. The atmosphere was relaxing, cozy and comfortable. The food was AMAZING, the wine was fantastic, the service was great and the price was very reasonable. Our eyes were WAY bigger than our stomachs, probably because I there were too many good pizzas. Our party of 4 each ordered a different pie and we had a great time passing them around the table, trying to pick a favorite. I can’t wait to come back to try more of their pizzas!

Great neighborhood pizza place. You can actually see as they make pizza. Oven is visible, which makes experience even better. I have tried number of their pizzas and can’t single one out. It is well worth trying.

I had a groupon for pizzeria tivoli and used it tonight. The place was very welcoming and what I believe are a husband and wife team were very friendly and gracious. I ordered the turn Carne pizza with all meat, it was delicious. The crust was tender and had a perfect bite. I usually don’t eat a 12 inch in one setting including all the crust but I did here. What a great neighborhood gem. I am so lucky to live a few blocks away from this and 6 or 7 other fantastic restaurants. I got the lasagna to go, I will fill you in tomorrow about that but I’m sure it’s out if this world. Wood fire ovens rock!

I’ve eaten here before, and loved it, but I just tried to call and place an order. No one answered. When I tried a second time, they hung up on me. One more time and they took the phone off the hook. I worked at a restaurant, and that is unacceptable behavior even if you are busy. It’s not worth this.

Food is SO good and the customer service is AMAZING, Kendall is so nice and fun; great server. BUT the outside seating is now ‘smoking friendly’, which I understand people are allowed to smoke of course BUT when I’m enjoying my #19 pizza, which is stellar, having smoke in my face is not ideal. I highly recommend this small gem in St. Louis Hills, but just be aware that it is ‘smoking friendly’ outside.

Great pizza and dessert! Was told by a friend that their pizza is the best/closest to authentic Italian pizza. Couldn’t agree more! I stuck with the Margarita pizza as that was my favorite pizza when in Italy and though it’s not 100% it’s pretty darn close! My friend had the tivoli pizza which she loved. Waitress was very friendly and attentive throughout our dining experience. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Solid 3.5 Rating, which would have been higher had our waitress been more attentive and decided to check back on us after our food arrived or offer us a refill on our empty drinks which sat on the table while our waitress was missing in action. Pizza here are small, but slightly larger than a personal pizza however don’t let that make you think that you are going to get by with splitting a pizza. The table went with two pizzas, we ordered both the Quattro Formaggi and the Bianca. Both were good however the Quattro Formaggi was better overall. Pizza here are wood fired and cooked in a large brick oven for only a few minutes at high heat. The crust is delicious and you can tell that the ingredients are high quality. Prices are slightly on the higher side, however the quality helps balance things out a bit. Overall Pizzeria Tivoli is a good upscale pizza joint, however their customer service could use some slight improvements.

Pizzeria Tivoli has unique pizzas that are the most similar to actual Italian pizzas that I’ve had outside of Italy! Not real well known as far as I can tell, but the food here is really good!

This was the first time I have been here. Overall I am impressed. I got a number 11 and it was very good. The crust was thin and flaky. I liked the bbq sauce they used. The Caesar salad was huge, big enough for three people to split. The pizzas came out really fast. The server, however was slow. I never received a refill on my drink which was a little upsetting. We waited a very long time for our check too. However, I will return and recommend my friends and family.

What a fun neighborhood restaurant. I ordered the #5 Funghi pizza complete with mushrooms, fontina cheese, mozzerella, arugula and shaved parmigiano. The crust was thin and chewy with a slight crunch. It tasted very fresh and was gone in a few minutes. The service was excellent starting with a greeting from the owner/chef to the full wait staff. Special shoutouts to Kendal and Lance. Without question I will return.

The pizza here is a bit pricy but incredibly tasty! But the service was even better! My friend and I were the quirky customers where our conversation was all over the place and she just rolled with the punches. We had some ongoing jokes throughout the evening which made our experience there much better. My friend and I split 2 pizzas and were able to order 1 to eat and then the second after finishing the first. Our server made great suggestions for beer pairings and more.

This is a favorite for my wife and I. They home-make every pizza with fresh ingredients and bake it in a brick-oven. They have one of my favorite beers, Zwickel on tap. Good price, good food and good beer, I highly recommend!

Another amazing meal at Tivoli last night. We had the Bianca and the Toscona pizza and both were delish. The Bianca was the star of the meal with the smoked garlic and lots of cheese. This is not your St. Louis style pizza and you will find no provel here but man are the pizzas good! Tossed by hand(in front of you if you sit at the bar) and baked in a gigantic brick oven. The best of its kind in the South Side.

I’m amazed that people like this place. I was disappointed. It was on my list of places to try and so I ordered take out. I was surprised to find they only had one size pizza. I went to pick up the margarita pizza and she handed me a cold box. Once I got home and opened the box I was very surprised that the pizza was not what one would expect. Their was very little sauce, the cheese was cut thickly in a circle and glopped down in a few places(not melted) and the entire pizza was cold. The taste was very bland, no seasoning at all just cold and tasteless. Don’t think I will return.

Wife and I have been going to Pizzeria Tivoli for a while now. We enjoyed bringing our dog and eating on the patio. Tonight, a Tuesday, I brought the pup to the empty patio and we were told, Dogs are not welcome. How is there a restaurant with outdoor seating in south city which won’t allow dogs? The pizza was okay always better than average. I suppose they can be successful without my family’s business. Tivoli, you lost a good customer when no one else was there on a Tuesday.

I have had Pizzaria Tivoli on my list to try for quite a while and was very excited to finally give it a try. It has all the makings of a great place — unique offerings that you can’t really get at other restaurants in close proximity and a small mom and pop feel that always makes for a good experience. I gotta say, the food was wonderful, but the service was pretty bad. And, unfortunately, bad service usually trumps wonderful food in the dining experience. Here’s why: Not only did they bring me the wrong pizza, but when I said that it wasn’t what I ordered, there was no explanation other than«I’ll be right back.» I just kind of sat there in limbo waiting, not really sure what was going on, until a new one arrived. Then I heard another server behind us yelling at the kitchen repeatedly that he needed two more Caesar salads, then proceeded to yell across the restaurant to his table that they have to wait for their salads because someone picked them up and delivered them to another table. The way it was handled was completely inappropriate and for the entire restaurant to hear. Pizzaria Tivoli is cute and the food’s good, but service needs a swift kick in the rear to get up to par.

Mmm. .. pizza! You don’t have to ask me twice if I want pizza. Who doesn’t like some delicious za on occasion? Last night we gave Pizzeria Tivoli a shot, and it was quite satisfying! My dad gave us a thirty dollar gift certificate to this place, and I wasn’t going to hesitate on using it. Pizzeria Tivoli has twenty different 12-inch specialty pizzas, all in the the $ 10-$ 15 range. Our voucher allowed us to try two of the pizzas, so we chose the Villa Adrianna and Tuto-Carne! The Adrianna was a barbeque chicken pizza covered with red onions. Very nice! However, we both agreed that the Tuto-Carne, meat pizza, was our favorite. The slices of Italian sausage were delightful, and the chucks of mozzarella were pretty awesome. In reality, one pizza was more than enough for two people. We ended up taking a whole one home. Pizzeria Tivoli is pretty far south on Kingshighway, and it’s easy to miss when travelling on those wavering roads. We had to double back. Also, the place is awfully tiny. They ask that you call ahead with large groups because I can assume that the space could be a big issue on a busy evening. Otherwise, it’s a cute, tiny pizzeria in South City. Looking for some new za? Give Pizzeria Tivoli a chance!
