McDonald’s

If you’ve always dreamt of enjoying your McNuggets inside of a McDonald’s with a tropical theme, your dream can become a reality at the Des Peres location. Why go to an actual beach when you can look at a painting of one while noshing on some fries?
Seriously, though, this is a nice Mickey D’s. It’s clean with friendly employees and a couple of TVs. It’s located at the intersection of Manchester and Blasé, and it’s always packed around noon. If you plan to go west on Manchester when you leave, for God’s sake, use the light at Blasé. You can access Blasé from the exit at the southwest corner of the parking lot.
As nice as this location is, I won’t be back. I love the Diet Coke at McDonald’s, but I’m not a huge fan of their food. I often buy their Diet Coke to accompany food I’ve purchased at another location. On a couple of occasions, I have brought a Subway sandwich to McDonald’s, have purchased a Diet Coke, and have eaten inside.
On my most recent visit, an employee told me I could not eat outside food inside the restaurant. WTH? It’s a turkey sandwich. It’s not like I was toting a bucket of crawfish, some raw onions, and a jar of kimchi.
Now, I could get super butthurt about this. I could leave them a one-​star rating, but whatever. If their ridiculous rule is more important to them than customer satisfaction, that’s their right. I just won’t return, and I’m sure they’ll be deeply hurt by the loss of one individual patron. ;)
This location gets four stars from me. If you plan to eat McDonald’s – and only McDonald’s – at McDonald’s, you’ll be okay here. If you also have a thing for palm-​tree décor, then woo-​hoo! This is the place for you!

Great and quick service food was hot and fresh no complaints here the young lady at the drive thru very friendly the outside of the store very clean its a great location its around different stores

GET. THE. LOBSTER. I know what you’re thinking, lobster in Missouri? CRAZY RIGHT? but Micky D’s knows exactly what they’re doing, the perfect freshness, a lovely butter sauce and terrific selection of sides to boot. I don’t what was better, the food, or the ambiance? Now, you’re saying, in Des Peres it can get a little crazy with the foot traffic and movie stars how does one find a bit of peace and quiet amidst the steamroll of modernity and progress? You get a res at McDonalds and you watch the magic.

Why am I giving this McDonalds 5 stars you ask? We’ll let me tell you…
First off, this restaurant is incredibly clean. Especially for a fast food chain.
Second, the customer service at this location is great. Everyone who works there knows what they are doing. It’s in a really busy spot so they definitely don’t have time to screw around. They have also never screwed up my food.
Lastly, my 2 ½ year old son loves the play place here. It’s the perfect size for him, so when ever the polar vortex is bringing havoc and he is out of his mind with energy we take him here so he can burn it all off. He loves the tunnels. This one is different from most though because this one is not built really tall which makes it easy for him. If you have kids then you know how important it is to have some place for a release in the winter before the release is you throwing them through the window.

I wouldn’t normally write a review for McDonald’s. I mean, if you’ve been in one, you’ve been in them all, right? However, this location currently has a one-​star rating, so I felt compelled. I don’t go to McDonald’s often, but, but I came here in reponse to a co-​worker telling me I had to try the Shamrock Shake (which lived up to her reviews). I have been in this one a couple times, and the inside is very nice — as you would expect in Des Peres! There’s a fireplace and some little couches where you can eat your meal in addition to the normal tables and booths. The staff seems nice, and if you go through the drive thru around lunchtime, they definitely know what they’re doing. An employee is out way before you get to the normal ordering booth, and he/​she has an electronic gadget to take your order. By the time you get to the window, it’s ready.

Just saw worker wipe his nose on his hand & sleeve, show his results to a co-​worker, wipe it off with a napkin, and go back to work.
I threw my food away.
