The food was very good! I got the chicken fried steak and it was very good! I would recommend that to anyone. I didn’t like the service Of the the waiter. My girlfriends food came out and it was cold. Mine was great so that’s why the review was good. Hers would be different! Overall a good place.

Veterans Day fiasco. Just trying to gain some exposure with the first sentence so you can see how they treated this veteran. I’m sorta new to Unilocal and I’m going through all the companies that have wronged me or have gone above and beyond to exceed my expectations, which to be honest aren’t high. Texas Roadhouse is on my «do not eat there ever again» list. I hold grudges like no other so my last experience there is still fresh in my mind even though it was a few years ago. First the food was always good and never had a problem with them until Veterans Day 3 – 4 years ago. My wife has to drag me out on Veterans Day because I don’t like getting anything for free. I’d rather pay and my pre tip total goes to a veterans charity but that’s another thing altogether. Since we enjoyed our visit a dozen or so times prior to this infamous day we decided to go there for a free meal. I went on their website(this specific restaurants website) to make sure it was going to be free. It said a free meal for veterans. No time restrictions. That’s the important part. We get to the restaurant and sit down within a couple of minutes, order drinks and I see the Veterans Day menu and order from there. Whether the waitress was in lala-land or just not the brightest bulb in there, I ordered from that menu right in front of her. I guess it’s my fault(/s) that I didn’t verify. Anyway, about 5 minutes after we order I see a banner and it says the free veterans meal only for lunch which was about 30 minutes before we arrived. When our waitress arrived with our food I asked about the banned and she told me that it was true and only for lunch that just passed. We have the meals in front of us so we weren’t going anywhere even if we had to pay since we were hungry but I told her to ask the manager if an exception could be made since it didn’t show anything about any time restrictions. I pulled it up on my phone too but it didn’t matter. I was denied and begrudgingly ate my final meal at this Texas Roadhouse. Only the second time in my life I didn’t leave a tip. The service wasn’t bad but when you’re infuriated and the waitress isn’t doing anything to rectify except relay what the chicken-S manager didn’t want to come over and say. It’s not about money. It’s about the principle. You advertise a free meal to get me, a veteran, in your restaurant and then deny it to me because you didn’t update your website. It sure is updated every Veterans Day now since I put in a formal complaint to the corporate office. I received a call and an apology from the manager or district manager. I don’t remember which and was offered a free meal but I declined. Like I said I hold grudges. You had your chance and I’ll never eat there again. Manager discretion is huge to me and this manager was obviously not people or veteran oriented. It’s not like I ate half my burger then said there was a hair and I’m not eating or paying for it. I went in because you advertised a free meal for a veteran. So much for showing appreciation for my service. Haven’t been to a Veterans Day meal to any restaurant since. My ptsd might kick in if I’m denied something and I don’t want to end up at purgatory. I don’t trust most companies with freebies for Vets. Most don’t care for anything except the publicity. A few year prior I went to the Applebee’s by target for a free meal and they treated me like royalty when I showed my proof of being a vet. I don’t expect to be treated like royalty. I expect to be treated like any other patron just give me the free meal you advertised on your site.

Have you ever slammed your head against the wall repeatedly for an hour? Well, neither have I but I am almost positive that is what my experience was like tonight at Texas Roadhouse in St George. We called in at 6:55 pm to put our name in on the call ahead seating. When we arrived, all 13 of us at 7:15, we were told a 15 minute wait. At 8:05, 70 minutes after the reservation was made we were seating. The only reason we were seated in the end was after two members of the party asked for the manager. The manager stated he was sorry and that he would make up for it. This would later show that this is not the case and the manager did not offer any appetizer, any percentage off. The worst part as well, there were multiple tables open that could have seated us at that time. After waiting for an hour(70 minutes), we were seated. We were ready to eat and ready to order. After all, we did have enough time to think about what we wanted from the menu. We all ordered water to drink, and waited 20 minutes, after asking the hostesses to tell our waiter we didn’t have our waters. Here are the items that were wrong with the order: –Burnt Ribs –Over cooked steak –non cooked steamed vegetables –hair(about 8 – 10 inches long) in a salad –Chicken was brought out and fries had to be asked for The waitress did a decent job and I feel bad she had to take the heat for the experience of her employees. Our grandpa, when he asked for water, raised his hand and two waiters(an African American waiter and a hipster looking Caucasian waiter) who were twiddling their thumbs and replied«hey, do you need something?» Very unprofessional. The payment for the meal went the smoothest. Except that, once we paid, one of the individuals paid in cash and asked for his change back. His change was given back in his to-go box. Super tacky. I think it is a safe bet to not go there anymore. By the way, I love food but it’s unfortunate we will not be back. *Update* Manager called and mentioned he would send vouchers to be used at a later time. He mentioned the lack of poor service was in part due to a sexual harassment issue the sole manager on duty was dealing with. Regardless, I appreciated the phone call.

This place is alright, for a chain. I don’t get why people flock here. It has got to be bc they love throwing peanuts on the ground? Other than that, we only go when friends say ‘let’s go to Texas Roadhouse’. The wait is always really long, but staff is super friendly.

A week ago, we dined at Texas Road House– our server was not very attentive, one roll basket, waited 45 minutes(after ordering) for cold food even though we asked the waitress twice if they had forgotten us– and if we could get more rolls to tide us over– no rolls, no refills, no chili that was to be brought early. We all had to wait on silverware after the cold food was brought– to the point where there was ‘film’ on the gravy! They had run out of some of the items that was to be on our food and said nothing. I have never requested to speak with a manager, but was so disappointed I did– he didn’t seem to concerned but did give us a free 2 dinners on a next visit– out of 5 meals ordered.

The service was good… but, we had«clean» dishes with caked-on food that had to be replaced. Then, when out steaks came, they were under-cooked. The server was frustrated because she was the one having to deal with all the issues, but she was really good about it. We talked with the manager about the issues, after the meal, and he was very helpful. We’ve had great meals here in the past, but their(new) kitchen staff still needs some work. Hopefully, the next time we’re traveling through, they will have the kinks worked out.

I’ll start this off by saying we(normally) love Texas Roadhouse! However, our visit today at the St. George, Utah location was not the best, and it was my first time here. It started with the hostess Rissy, who I stood in front of for at least 30 seconds while she stood there doing nothing, and pretty much refused to acknowledge me standing right in front of the host stand until I actually spoke to her(one of my biggest customer service pet peeves is when staff members don’t acknowledge customers as they walk through the door — this should always happen when possible). I also don’t appreciate feeling like I’m an inconvenience to staff members, which is how I felt as she put our name on the list. Our group of 6 was then seated 15 minutes into our 30-minute wait time which seemed to make up for the bratty hostess. We were seated and our server, Kim, greeted us and took our drink orders. My husband doesn’t even look at the menu at this point because he gets the same thing everytime we come. So, he ordered the strawberry lemonade. The next person in our group ordered the same thing, but asked if it has free refills. Our server told us that they actually don’t give free refills on the specialty lemonades, but that they’re only about $ 0.50. We were confused, because they’ve always had free refills! We figured it was just a change in their policy. So we checked the menu, but it actually says they should have free refills. So our poor server explains that their menu is incorrect and that all Texas Roadhouse menus are the same, even though this location doesn’t give free refills on the specialty lemonades or serve everything listed on their alcohol menu. I could tell by her face that she gets grief from customers about the incorrect menu probably everyday. Our problem with it was that it’s false advertising and it’s right on their menu! Our server told me that this location is a franchise, but it’s still unacceptable. Our server was great through the rest of our time here, but our steaks were cooked poorly and the food overall just wasn’t as great as it normally is. I wanted to make sure I stressed that our server Kim really was great and did a great job! I understand that there are some policies that you just have to deal with as an employee, but Texas Roadhouse really needs to make revised menus for this location. These poor servers constantly have to take the heat for things they can’t control. Update: As we were leaving, my husband overheard our server say to another server say«ugh, they FINALLY left». So I guess I shouldn’t give so much credit to our server. I also went to the bathroom on our way out and told a worker that there were no toilet seat covers and she let out a big sigh as she rubbed her temples and annoyedly said she would try to get some but they’re probably out of them. What?! Super disappointed with the service. Everyone was extremely unprofessional.

Service? Lousy… got seated right away but took server 10 min to even acknowledge us. No silverware or roll plates. When asked, server tossed silverware on our table as she passed by. Plates took another request and another 10 mins. FOOD? Ordered the hand cut 12oz Ribeye. Steak was poorly butchered. Varied in thickness from end to end. Inordinate amount of fat and gristle. Maybe a third of the steak was inedible. Ordered it medium rare, came rare on one side and still breathing on the other. Somebody needs to explain to Cook that you have to cook the steak from both sides. This was a very apparent that it did not happen. You would think of all the things of State hell should be able to get right, it would be a steak. Well strike three! Sadly, My wife’s sirloin was a better cut of meat, and substantially less expensive. Be while before I visit this place again

I’ve heard Texas Roadhouse has some sort of cult following so I went there to see what the fuss was about. I still don’t get it. The service wasn’t very good, the food wasn’t very good and the ambiance wasn’t very good either. The only good thing was that it wasn’t all that expensive.

The food was just ok. Even though we were there on a Thursday night, the place was busy and the whole time it felt like we were being rushed to eat as quick as possible so that they could turn the table over. Don’t go to this chain restaurant. Nothing great to offer and there are way better places out there.

Friday evening, party of four was seated at almost one hour. For Southern Utah, this place was packed. By Southern Utah, I mean majority of restaurants I’ve been to regardless of day or time, doesn’t usually have a long wait. Butter rolls — these were very good. Reminiscent of King’s Hawaiian rolls. New York steak — I stressed to the waiter that I wanted my steak medium temp, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was. So it was moist and juicy. I like that they don’t skimp on seasonings. There was a nice fat to meat ratio which added to the tenderness of the steak. Sirloin — also stressed the medium temp preference, however it arrived medium well. That was disappointing. But it was still flavorful and lean. Fully loaded baked potato — I like that it was coated in sea salt, nice touch. House salad — comes with croutons and eggs. I asked for more onions but the waiter heard«red onions.» That wasn’t bad, but I would’ve just preferred more. They got bleu cheese dressing right, so kudos to them! I really hate when I’m accidentally given ranch dressing.

My favorite restaurant in St. George! Great steaks, the dinner rolls and cinnamon butter are good enough to eat for dessert. Great sides dishes such as baked potato and the Texas blossom is a great appetizer!!! Great dinners priced right!

You’d better watch the so called call ahead to get on the list. Decided to go to St George for Valentine’s day. While there we thought let’s go to Texas Roadhouse but we’d better call to get on the big call in list they make a big deal out of. So, called in 2 hours before, they said that would cut our wait at least in half. Get there and there is a line going out the door to get in(no big deal-it’s Valentine’s day) The couple I the line in front of us had not called in and the couple behind us called in while we were standing in line. We heard them tell the couple in front of us it would be an hour to two hour wait and gave them a beeper. Told us the same thing and then ran out of beepers, told us no big deal they call out all the names. Forty five minutes goes by and the couple in front of us(who never called in go called to a table). So, I go back to the front and ask if there are any beepers available now and where we stand on the list. Gave me a beeper, said it should be just a while. After twenty more minutes go by and the couple that was behind us got a table I went back up and asked what the deal was. They looked for my name and confirmation number and said they couldn’t even find us anywhere on any list!!! So after a while they got us to a table. So, the call in list is a bunch of beans, don’t waste your time. Our waitress on the other hand was incredible, great personality, great service, drink refills before we were done with our current ones. So, I decided to try there chopped Steak, incredible, especially with everything they put on it. But after eating peanuts for almost an hour and a half I couldn’t eat half my dinner. Well, at least I had left-overs for the next day.

Food was good, but worst waiter ever! Took a long time to get food. Ranger kid steak is bubble gum. Tater skins were good but would be great with an egg on top for breakfast. Come for the food, leave for the service.
