This place would be great except that my order always comes out wrong. Don’t ask for anything particular or pay for something extra because you most likely won’t get it. I don’t know if they are offended that you’re veering from the menu or they’re just not paying attention but I would love to one day have my order be what I actually asked and payed for.

I hand always loved their breakfast burritos. I usually get the sausage/bacon combo from the stand in front of Jerry’s. I stopped in at the 42nd street location and saw they had«fire bites”(fried jalapeños). They are killer! I threw some in a breakfast burrito… made a great meal awesome! I took away a star because they usually mess up the order in some way and have to have something remade. Only once has the order been right the first time.

To be perfectly honest, I read the reviews and took my family to here. I was happy with presentation, the cleanliness and the customer service but this is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Once the food came the experience went very wrong. Instead of writing a «this place sucks» review I simply say that their food is maybe for a certain type of pallet. Maybe the type that doesn’t enjoy flavor, the use of the correct cooking techniques or even just«ok» Mexican food. Even the worst hole in the wall places I have been to serve better tasting food than this place.

Burrito Amigos never disappoints! My husband and I went to the Springfield location on our way out of town to go camping. We both got Carne Asada Amigos Burritos. The tortillas are so fresh tasting and homemade tasting. They were both full with Carne Asada that was so flavorful. In the drive through he asked if we wanted chips and salsa with it. Being frugal we asked if it was free and he said yes! We certainly did not expect as large of a bag as we go and as much salsa as we got. Yum! The burritos themselves are so large and packed with fillings that we did not have room to eat any chips that night, but enjoyed them thoroughly for lunch the next day.

If you want chile relleno’s done right, then this is the place to go. Their mole sauce is excellent. I usually order nachos, cut up my chili rellenos and scoop them up with the nachos-YUMMY! Can’t believe the quality of food I get for a place that is basically a fast food place. There is usually a long line when I go, but I can see why and am willing to wait.

Love the breakfast burritos only without potatoes because they are watery. The Chile relleno burrito is amazing sometimes I get it wet and that is equally delicious. Pretty much yummy in tummy fill u up food that’s fast and affordable

Good service here, family owned and very friendly. The food is fairly priced for portions that you get per meal. And the food so far that I have had is pretty good. Not the best Mexican food. But down right better than Taco Bell. All while being just as fast as Taco Bell. Prob come back here.

I will not eat here again. I got a Carne Asada wet burrito. It was not visally appealing when I got it. The burrito itself was flavorless. I can make a better burrito myself with only beans and cheese. That is sad indeed. How can they charge over $ 8 for something with no flavor?

I always ever hit the drive-thru for Burrito Amigos so I can’t speak for the inside at all but just the food in general. My favorite option is the taco salad. The portion size is absolutely ridiculous and feeds two if not three people easily. It’s always a generous helping of protein(chicken please) and beans with lettuce, tomato and cheese. They put chips in the bottom, which I like a lot better than a taco shell bowl. Sour cream and quac come on the side so you don’t have a mushy salad when you get home, that’s much appreciated. The service is efficient and friendly, they ask you if you want forks and salsa, instead of just wasting food/cutlery by giving it out without a question. I even scooped by for a quick breakfast, you don’t have to stick with the traditional breakfast burrito. They offer a breakfast-plate, with eggs, potatoes, meat and beans. They come with tortillas if you want to wrap up a quick breakfast fajita of sorts but as one who says no to tortillas whenever possible, it’s a nice spread to fill up on!

I am big on breakfast burrito’s so wanting to try all the places in my area I had Burrito Amigos on my list. I ordered the Sausage breakfast burrito w/o beans. The size of the burrito was alright but that was the best part. The burrito lacked flavor compared to a los faroles, el tace grande or el piqué. there are much better places in town, heck I might even check out taco bell across the street.(ok maybe not)

If you check my other reviews, you’ll see I’m a fan of authentic hard tacos. This place delivers. In my youth, I was enrolled in various private schools in Phoenix, AZ. I say enrolled because I ditched school, drove to Mexico and drank beer all day. Yes, I was a problem child. While I’d return home to the family farm in Oregon every summer to work, I’d eventually be sent back to the desert in the fall to a new school to escape from, promptly making my way across the border for beer and tacos. My biggest fear was returning to Oregon and having to eat«Mexican» food. These days, I can find a decent taco in Oregon. Despite what local Unilocalers might say(e.g.: I’ve travelled Mexico extensively [had a drunken fratboy night in TJ] and I know authentic Mexican food [if it’s not Jalisco or Baja, also known as the bottom rung of what Mexico has to offer I will bemoan it], so when I cry foul on Unilocal, you know [it’s not Taco Bell] it sucks), Mexican food in the Pacific Northwest tends to fall into the realm of knowing the secret handshake. This place has tacos. If you know what a REAL authentic hard taco is supposed to be, Burrito Amigos(or any other place I give praise) will satisfy. If you’re a snotty«I know Mexican food because I ate at a Denny’s near San Diego» type of Oregonian that can’t tell the difference between Oaxacan and Sonoran style Mexican food, don’t bother with these little places, and head up to Portland to eat at Chevys.

I get their veggie burrito and it has always been good. The quality is consistent, the food is fresh, it is a large burrito, and the price is good.

For Springfield, it’s actually quite acceptable. I’m used to mission burritos and tacos from a truck. This place is definitely dumbed down a bit for the tastes of the area. With that said, food was consistent and made me consume all of it. Would I come back? maybe… I can see how some people would really like this, so I give it a 3 star rating. It really does outclass most of the other places around which holds a lot of respect from me.
