Nik’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant

Nice gem tucked away in the HEB strip mall. I had the fried shrimp and they were a great size and big side portions. Price was nice. Will go back to try the steak.

It’s a little storefront location around the corner from HEB. The restaurant wasn’t that busy when we arrived around 630pm. Our waiter was courteous and helped us with our selection since it was the first time there. Onces we were there for about 15 mins it started filling up and he had his job cut out for himself. He still managed to get to us and make sure we received our check and even gave us a to go ice tea (thank you!). The food was tasteful and the portions were well.

Another great find thanks to our Mom and Pop owned restaurant adventure. The steak is one of the tasty and well priced steaks in town. It rivals the high end steakhouses. The fried shrimp was delectable. We liked the pride that our server had in describing the menu items and making recommendations. We look forward to our return!

The food is pretty good. Had the jumbo shrimp. Great seasoning. The place is getting noticed more now.

Great food & value! Customer service was great even near close to closing which is rare. A family of 3 had dinner for less than $ 30.

Great place, great prices, great food. Well, I do like hole-​in-​the-​wall joints and this one qualifies. The food is great, the prices more than reasonable and if you are looking for a place where some in you party can get seafood and others can geat anything but, this is the place. It’s on my short list.

Excellent on all counts. Food was delicious and so reasonably priced! Gumbo was fantastic! Service was on point despite being super busy! We will be back again and again for sure!

I was craving some seafood so I Unilocaled ALL the seafood restaurants in the area and this place came up. I hadn’t heard of it and read all the reviews and they were all positive! So I Googled the restaurant and looked up their menu. I was impressed and decided I’d give it a try… especially cause of the lunch specials and their prices!!! And i’m so glad I did! Best seafood that I have had! This place is the true definition of a hole in wall restaurant! Had the grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and broccoli! Also got an appetizer of fried seafood mushrooms (I highly recommend). Portions are great! I will definitely be back… I want to try everything on the menu!!!

I often pass by this place so after reading the Unilocal reviews, I decided to give this place a try. Maybe I am just picky and am used to spicy Cajun flavor, but I thought the food was just okay here. Everyone is there own critique so I would recommend others to try! I will be back to try the chicken fried steak!

It’s a love-​hate relationship with Nik’s. I love it because it’s my new little favorite hole in the wall gem!!! Hate it because it’s so good that I don’t want others to know about it. Would hate to have this gem get to busy and outgrown the feeling of «my buddy’s place» feel. Food is awesome. Flavor is full as are the portions.
Don’t go here, and if you do, don’t tell anyone else about it.

Great food and great service! my boyfriend and i had lunch there today and we really enjoyed it. We will be going back soon!

My girlfriend and I have been to Nik’s four times in the last two weeks. This place has great food at great prices. Nik’s is a very small place (Max seating 34) but we have always found seating. We have also called in an order to go (which a lot of people do) sometimes the wait for food is a little longer than normal but it is worth it. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
We have tried a lot of different items on the menu. The grilled pork chops, the grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, chicken teriyaki, Mexican cocktail, Fried pickles, calamari and stuffed crab. We loved everything except for the Mexican cocktail, that was just so, so. With most meals you also get up to 3 sides. The bake potato and Cajun rice are delicious but so are the other items.
We will definitely be going back again and again.

Beware: do not spend your hard earn money nor time on this restaurant! Upon arrival there was no space to sit down. It’s a very small place and people were walking out. There was only 20 guess there and 4 employees, if they don’t know how to handle 20 guess, then imagine more. I Waited 45 minutes just to pick up food to go. When I got home and sat down to eat the food, it was cold and the fish wasn’t cooked right. I usually don’t give out bad reviews but I had to this one time. My stomach is beginning to hurt and I may have food poising now.

The food here is excellent although the cheap strip mall atmosphere won’t impress you. I had their fried shrimp and fish dinner with Cajun rice and it was awesome! Better than some of the expensive seafood restaurants around in Houston.
Portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. Again, I’ve paid 3 – 4 times more in the high dollar restaurants and walked away disappointed compared to this neighborhood restaurant.
While I was eating there was a steady stream of customers coming and going. Always a good sign…

My coworkers told me about this place and I love it!!! I love the grilled shrimp and the fried shrimp. It is so delicious.

If it weren’t for the Unilocal reviews I probably would never have tried this place. So thanks to the reviewers! My steak was actually prepared medium rare (it’s rare to get that these days. Pun intended lol). Perfect baked potato and the broccoli wasn’t overcooked (I like it slightly al dente). It may not have a fancy ambience, but the food is great!

Wow! I was blown away that hidden in this little retail storefront in Spring was a seafood and steak place with hand breaded popcorn shrimp, homemade cocktail sauce and the best coleslaw I’ve had in a long long time. This is quality you expect from big name chefs in million dollar restaurants.
The location is small and the décor is cute but nothing special. It is not catering to the mass crowds but to the small family coming in for good food at a very reasonable price.
My wife, my 2 year old daughter and myself just wanted some seafood that we didn’t have to travel to the Woodlands or Willowbrook for and decided to give this a try based on reviews. My 2 year old ate everything on her plate. We had Shrimp cocktail which was plentiful with an amazing cocktail sauce.
Our Talapia and Jumbo fried shrimp were amazing, the Portions were really good for the price. The fries were golden crisp, coleslaw was out of this world and the baked potatoes were perfect. Nothing bad at all.
Next time we want a quick seafood meal we will go to Nik’s. Two adults and a baby ate and drank for $ 34 including an appetizer.
For me, no more Crabby Daddy’s, Red Lobster or any other Ma & Pa seafood.
We might give Blue Water another try if they ever reopen, however I think the food is better and less greasy at Nik’s.

Great meal. Poor service. One waiter and he must have been very new. That being said, the food was very good, especially for the price.
They do not serve alcohol.

Great menu options, I will be back to try this again. Today we had the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail, it was good, just think it should be in a glass with cut up shrimp with less fillings. Overall was good, we will be back.

My husband and I went here for dinner tonight and I must say I am impressed. There are a TON of options, something for everyone. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled shrimp. I consider myself a connoisseur of alfredo and this was delicious. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked, and the sauce was really tasty. It also came with a side of yummy veggies and really tasty coleslaw.
My husband got the fried fish and shrimp combo. Again the shrimp were huge and perfectly fried. The fish was tasty and he chose a baked potato and cajun rice as the sides and they were both really good.
Overall, Nik’s was really great. You got a TON of food for the money and we will definitely come back! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
