My husband and I have been here 5 times… today was our last time. The last 3 times we’ve eaten here my mashed potatoes have consistently been cold, you can tell they pre plate them and let them sit. We walked in and the hostess which was a male, said hello and then proceeded to say«watch me do my pimp walk» I literally had to ask him what he said because I was shocked. After being seated the waitress came for our drink order, my husband asked what kind of white wine they have, her answer was red, white and pink she had no clue of brand. She also prefaced everything with«it’s my off day» My husband ordered a white wine. Our order came out and my mashed potatoes tasted funny and we’re cold my husband’s mashed potatoes were cold too. The chicken fried chicken was good. My husband put ketchup on his plate and our waitress said«your going to use all that ketchup» it was so impolite. My husband drank his glass of wine the waitress never came to ask us if we needed anything. My husband had his empty wine glass sitting on the table our waitress never asked if he needed another drink. Finally, when we were finished eating she came up and asked if we need anything else, my husband said he would of ordered another glass of wine, but we were finished. We asked for the bill, the waitress actually said to my husband«are you ok?» Wow I was shocked again. She finally brought our ticket we quickly paid. This server was rude and was obvious she had no training on how to be a server. My husband and I really liked this spot but we won’t be back. The consistently cold pre plated sides, and then the server today was too much.

Our truck was broken into around 11am. Parked right by the front doors. Apparently it happens often according to the police. Wonder why they don’t have security like Rudy’s…

Very good food and service. Stopped in on a Saturday around three and had lunch and a drink. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. Manager even stopped by to say hello. We had gumbo, the crawfish dip. Omg yummy, alligator was delicious. Fried shrimp and poboys were excellant. This was my first trip here and we will be back. Oh and they serve Abita beer on tap! Their salads are huge.

Besides the fact that there was a recent rodent incident, I really love this place. Food is delicious in my opinion, and raspberry tea is amazing. I think it’s reputation has been ruined because of the incident but it deserves a second chance. Would suggest that everyone try this place at least once before they make prejudgements about it. Would recommend the gumbo and the etouffe.

Fun«family» environment. Typical southern food with regards to a lot of it is fried. Tried the blackened chicken very much worth the trip. Kids and I shared a shrimp basket and a catfish basket. Good flavor and not too fishy. The«Rat Toes» we’re awesome. No they are not made of rats. Demetrius, our server, was awesome. Fun and engaging. He made the family laugh more than once. Overall experience was above expectations, largely because of the staff and environment. Will definitely be returning. Thank you Demetrius. «You gotta say the name of the burger». This location is behind the Cheddars restaurant on the I-45 feeder just north of the Louetta overpass on the southbound side of I-45.

I mist say this experience was fantastic. The manager greeted us at the door and was very friendly. He asked if it was our first time(it was) and gave us a few pointers through the menu, which were very appreciated. I asked about Bloody Mary’s and the waiter told me a regular bloody Mary was $ 5.50& the moonshine Mary was $ 5.75, but people really liked it. I went for the moonshine Mary on his recomendación and it was OHSOAMAZING! The moonshine Mary on its own would have been enough to make me come back. Next we ordered two appetizers: rat toes and boudin balls. Now I am not a seafood person at all. I do okay with shrimp and occasionally fried fish(I prefer fish sticks over real fish lol) and the rat toes were a little fishy for me, but they weren’t bad. The rat toes are a pickled jalapeño stuffed with shrimp and crab then fried, for those wondering. The boudin balls were absolutely delicious. Fried perfectly and the boudin itself was very moist and delicious. I don’t know what sauce came with it, but the sauce was an excellent pair to the boudin balls. For our entrée we shared a small cup of gumbo(which was still big for a cup) & the boudín stuff chicken(we really like boudin). The gumbo we got was the spicy chicken. And sausage and was very tasty. The rue was thick and full of flavor and it was very well done. The chicken stuffed boudin came with two mounds of potatoes and a large chicken breast stuffed with boudin on top of the potatoes and covered in a cheese and jalapeño sauce and Pico de gallo in top. That sauce was to die for and if hat was good enough the potatoes were the smoothest and fluffier I have ever had. They just melted in your mouth and we so full of flavor. The chicken was seasoned super well but was just a touch dry, however the boudin really helped bring some moisture to the chicken, along with the sauce. All in all my husband and I finished it ALL and while we were way too full and should not have eaten that much it was amazing right to the last bite. My husband and I will definitely be back!

Looking for somewhere off of 45 so came here on a whim for lunch. The place has ample parking. The hostess seated us and our server made it to our table to take our drink orders fairly quickly. I believe our server was in retraining as a female server accompanied him on most visits to our table. I ordered the shrimp etoufee and fried okra. The food was delicious; seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were appropriate and the price point was fair. I ate everything on my plate, requested additional bread, and took my friends unfinished okra to go. I think the only thing that was missing was the frequency of the servers visit to table. Ended up running low on water and it took awhile before someone returned for the refill. Otherwise, from the food perspective, I was satisfied.

This place is located across the freeway from Splashtown off of 2920 and 45. Right next to Cheddars. I must say that I’m very impressed! Out of the months or maybe even year that it’s been open, I always wanted why in the world was his place so packed! We went Thanksgiving Eve and it was extremely easy for parking, luckily. We only down thing I can say off the bat before I even enter, was that one of the employees was loud complaining that she made only $ 21 in six hours. Not very professional as you’re shouting it talking to your friend as customers are pulling up right next to you trying to get out waiting for you to get in your I won’t leave a negative review based off that employee. I can just say I wouldn’t want her working for me and her attitude is probably the reason why she hasn’t got a tip. I kind of felt like I was in Louisiana or something by the vibe from the building. When we walked inside, the interior design was pretty awesome and exciting. It was very artsy and it reminded me of a very creative hotel or something. Very colorful! We look at the menu we were a bit overwhelmed because it was so much color in so many words however I like the design because it reminded me of a comic book. For appetizers we had wings which are freaking amazing! I don’t like everybody’s wings and so I was really impressed with the fact that they seasoned it first before they fried it. Oh my gosh I wish I had those right now they were so juicy and I felt like I was eating them at somebody’s house. Since it was happy hour so they were half off so it was about 10 wings for three dollars. They were so good I would be willing to pay the seven dollars for them. I ate for my main course crawfish tricky fishing or something like that what it was called. It was so good it was blackens tilapia with dirty rice and crawfish at etouffé. I can’t even believe I ate all that but it was so good that I just couldn’t stop eating. It was seasoned so right! Juicy Bd full of flavor. Dang I think you made the right choice because we listen to our waitress because she’s from Louisiana and she knew exactly what was good and not so good LOL her facial expression’s were hilarious whenever we asked her how was the gumbo and other things on the menu. She was like flat out«no.» Her facial expression’s and her responses were quite entertaining in itself and we all gave her good tips for that. Her name was Chrystal. I can see this place exceeded expectations.

Jambalaya was the worst jambalaya I have ever had in my life. Tasted like spaghetti-o’s and rice. Last time I ate here was about 4 months ago. I had the fried shrimp and it was fabulous. It was my sisters birthday, and I asked waiter to whip cream her face. He said they don’t do anything but a free desert. When I was here 4 months ago, they did a terrific job whip-creaming my brother in law in the face, and it wasn’t even our idea. Disappointed.

This place is really clean and decorated well. The food was absolutely amazing. I had a cup of seafood gumbo and a shrimp PoBoy and it was yummy. Another person had the stuffed shrimp and they were really good. Another person in our party had the combo skillet and loved it. The service was excellent, the drinks were never empty and the manager checked on us. Our waitress was a very attractive brown skin lady but I did not get her name. I will definitely go back!

I give this place a five! Demetri(sp) was our server. He was very sweet and attentive. He helped us out with what to eat. We were going to go with one platter but he showed us another he could give to us for the quarter of the listed price. It had such a variety of food and fed my boy friend and I. The hostess was also nice and very professional. Everyone seemed happy in the establishment and the restaurant was clean, from what we could see. Thanks for the awesome service, D!

I played it safe with chicken strips with fries, corn on the cob, and a honey mustard dipping sauce. The chicken was juicy and not hard and crunchy like many places, fries were typical, but also soft like I prefer and not hard. Now the honey mustard is out of this world, I’m not a fan of honey mustard but this was amazing. Definitely coming back for this dish. The atmosphere is intimate, fun, and colorful. Great to go with kids or a loved one. Definitely recommend.

Good food and decent prices. The drinks were a little too sweet for me but my friend enjoyed his. I felt like I was sippin on some sizurp. We had the shrimp basket and grilled chicken and both were filling and flavored well. My only complaint is that there isn’t one closer to 290! Booooo

We visited Razzoos after a day of wedding shopping. I was HIGHLYDISAPPOINTED. Being that it was our 1st visit we weren’t sure what to order. Our waiter seem new and unsettled in his new position. When couldn’t get clear answers we just decided to order tilapia and shrimp when it was presented at the table it was fish sticks! We all looked at like this couldn’t have been our order. The waiter confused himself, went for the manager(William Coleman) who had EVERYEXCUSEASTOWHY we receive such a poorly presented. «it actually saved us money, or that is what was on the menu» He continued let us know how wrong we were about what we order. This place will never be able to compete with Pappadeux’s, go there save your money and a wasted experience! Signed, Highly Disappointed

Went here on a Friday and it was packed. I figured a place so busy had to be good. Well… not really. The atmosphere was nice, but there was nothing special about the food and I thought the portions were rather small. Much better Cajun food around. *

This was my second visit to Razoo’s, first time in Houston. The prices – let me reiterate – are incredible, especially on the alcoholic mixed drinks. A Gator Bunch for three to five people is more than enough to get you feeling happy and relaxed, while two would simply«K.O. two people alone». I elected for the Cat and Fried Shrimp Basket this go-around($ 11.29). The catfish was crispy and moist while the shrimp was crunchy and spiced well. My third visit will be imminent!

I have a pretty good camera so the pictures probably look great but don’t let the presentation fool you. Our lunch took 1 hours and 45 minutes to complete. Thank goodness we weren’t in a hurry, the beer and hurricane took almost 20 minutes to arrive. We wanted to check out the«real» menu. Everything said real on it. Why do you have to keep saying real, wouldn’t someone know? We order gumbo, red beans, dirty rice to start. Gumbo is like a stew with some kikomans soy sauce to darken the roux. The red beans like a few other places uses liquid smoke and the dirty rice is sautéed brown hamburger meat with rice stirred in. Everything topped with green onions. the waitress informed us that a larger table ordered 6 of their jaw plates so all their fryers were being used. Long wait. Anyways, we proceeded with to order a shrimp po boy and the shrimp creole. Curious as to what Cajun adds onions to their shrimp poboy. I sure don’t. The creole was an excitement when it arrived. Looked beautiful. It was a disappointment, my spoon c linked the bottom of the plate before I scooped. I was duped. The center of rice with a super thin layer or tomato sauce and 10 shrimp. Very disappointing. I just paid 12 bucks for rice and a couple pieces of shrimp. Like having a can of Rotele with some shrimp. I ordered a dozen of oyster. Fresh oyster will be greyish in color. Mine were whitish. Overall the service was slow, the food was not what i expected, the beer was good. The lady next to us waited a long time for her food while her date slowly picked at his to be polite. It was one of those days. Paid $ 64 and left a $ 20 tip. Heard the waitress was having a bad day so took care of her. Aside from that, we won’t return.

Attempted to go on a Friday evening and was told there would be a 2 hour wait. So tried again on a Monday at 5pm and was seated instantly. It turned out better for us since they have half priced apps and drinks specials from 3−7pm M-F. Started with the Cajun Fondue and fried pickles. The fondue was very flavorful, however we somehow let the waitress talk is into getting it with chicken. The flavors in the fondue are definitely more suited to be paired with either shrimp or crawfish. The pickles were sliced a little too think and didn’t have the vinegary bite and crunch that I prefer in fried pickles. The gumbo is okay. Nice dark roux, but could use more ingredients. The popcorn shrimp poboy as well as the blackened tilapia poboy were both full of seafood, but lacked flavor. The shrimp brochette was a good deal for the price. 8 bacon wrapped shrimp served over dirty rice. The shrimp were on the small side, but tasty. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our drinks were constantly refilled and the food came out in a timely manner. I would definitely come back during their happy hour. They had some interesting looking drinks I’d like to try.
