One time I went to Mexico for a family vacation. While eating at a local restaurant in Cabo my waitress was shot by a disgruntled customer and bled to death on the floor in said restaurant. That dead waitress provided better service than all of the waitresses combined at borrachos. Never come here

I’ve been here for lunch and for drinks. Low key place to go… inexpensive and consistent food. The street tacos are quite small… so you want to order several… but they are good and cheap. My favorite was the pork street tacos. I’m not in love with their salsa… but overall, good place to meet with friends or grab a quick lunch.

We don’t drink but we still go here for the Mexican food. That’s saying a lot. The t-shirts they sell are really funny too. Plus, my husband loves watching sports on the tvs there.

I would give them 5 stars if they were a bit better about gluten free options. The chips are not gluten free as of last summer That said, we love this place. Fun atmosphere, tasty food, great prices, and awesome margaritas. It’s really a 4.8 stars

It’s true, when you grow up on Mexican grub in California, your standards for tacos become pretty darn snobby. I was drawn into Borracho because of it’s cool, modern cantina vibe with huge patio(perfect for margarita sippin’ in the summer). As for the food … not terrible, but I wouldn’t call it authentic or gourmet. The good: lots of space for groups, festive atmosphere, cheap cheap prices, super quick service. Definitely get a side or guac with everything– great deal for a generous portion. The not-so-good: Everything we ordered tasted a bit sad or stale. The tots with queso were flat like pucks, not full and fluffy like regular tater tots. The tacos were TINY but understandable for only $ 2 each($ 1 on taco Tuesday). I would not order the fish taco again, it was a tough, thin, over-cooked strip of breaded fish. The chicken and pork were much better. Moral of the story: Boraccho is A-OK for festive group drinking & snacks, but not the place to go if you’re craving amazing, semi-authentic Mexican food.

Can not beat great, amazingly seasoned food, out of this world prices for the large portions, and amazing cocktails that go down super smooth. The outdoor seating area is perfection, while the inside has a large fun variety of seating options. It is always packed on the weekends but on a Thursday afternoon, during happy hour, its perfection. Our server was amazing, we were never wanting for anything.

Stopped by again, about a month after my first visit. Food, drinks, and service were just as good as my first time. I stand by my 5-star rating. Great spot to hang out for quality, affordable fare.

This review is strictly based on visiting this venue at night for drinks. I have never had their tacos(always full or trying to diet). I can say though this is one of my favorite bars in Spokane! The drinks are good and it has a completely fun environment on Friday and Saturday nights! It’s very clean too! The waitstaff are always picking up empty glasses or garbage. The outside seating is very cozy. Servers/bartenders come around and make sure you always have a full drink. This place is a must if you are planning a night out in Spokane!

So many bro’s! This was my first time to Spokane and to Borracho. I drove past this restaurant during the night and the outdoor patio and fire feature drew me in. It was pretty packed on a Saturday night. As we sat down and order food we couldn’t help but enjoy people watching. So many tattoos, tank tops and cool haircuts. Groups buying bud light by the boxes and having it dropped off at their table. Some guy sprayed his beer in the air like a bottle of champagne.(This was only entertaining because I was not one of the people sprayed by it.) I got the street tacos, they were good, but the food wasn’t very warm. The cocktails were pretty good, they could be a little more generous with the pour. Overall I had a good time.

Moving from Seattle to Denver and stopped here to grab a bite to eat, because of the good Unilocal reviews and the place looked popular… very crowded. Chips and salsa were good. Service was good. Chicken enchiladas were spicy and bland with textures that were off. Refried beans and rice were also very very bland. Would not eat here again if I ever come through spokane in the future.

$ 1 taco Tuesday was delicious. Had 2 of the carne asada and 2 of the pork tacos and a side of chips. Tacos were good, little overdone with onions, but not bad for a buck. Their house salsa is great, but the chips were a bit overcooked. Great atmosphere. I was there by myself for lunch before a conference, but I’m sure this place is hoppin on a weekend night. Outside seating with live music, sounds like fun.

We came here for food, so I can’t comment on the alcohol. When we arrived, the place was packed with college students attending a conference in town, so service took longer than usual. The waiter was very nice, though, and even brought us an extra bowl of queso on the house. We had chicken enchiladas with green sauce, and the tostada, as well as the chips, queso, and guacamole. As a native Californian used to excellent and authentic Mexican food, I was paying close attention. The chips and guacamole were excellent, both very fresh. The queso was tasty but weirdly thin and runny, it had the texture of soup, not the usual viscosity you’d get at a Tex-Mex place in say, Austin. The main courses were good, not great. The rice and beans were just okay. But considering that this is primarily a bar, was packed to the brim, and this was a busy Friday night, we were overall very satisfied. Also, the prices are VERY good(I think we paid $ 22 for everything above.)

She wanted Mexican cuisine. I was game for checking off another bookmarked eatery. Arriving shortly after their 11:00 opening, we were invited to sit where we liked. We chose an outside table in their enclosed patio, warmed by the bright sunshine. Water, menus, and silverware were promptly brought. FOOD Tinga(chicken) Enchiladas La Lengua(beef tongue) Tosdada Chips and Salsa The Tinga Enchillada was adequate. A bit spicier than expected, as we overlooked the menu stating«.spiked with chipotle». Gotta admit that this was my first conscious effort at trying an offall, organ, meat. Tongue to be precise, on a tostada. Have heard great things from Unilocal friends Alyssa A. and John L., about the merits of well cooked lengua. It did not disappoint. Quite the opposite! The long cooking time had tenderized the muscle meat and their cooking process made it quite savory and tender, like a nicely done stew beef meat. A delicious encounter. Their sides of rice and refried beans were well cooked but tasted very bland. The Chips and Salsa were wonderful and a generous sized portion. It arrived warm and tender crispy. The salsa tasted freshly made, was flavorful, and the tomatoes were finely chopped. Service was friendly but not attentive, even though we were there early at lunch on a Friday. We were checked upon ten minutes after we were served. One of the water glasses sat empty and was not refilled in a prompt manner. Would be five stars for the lengua, chips & salsa, and roomy patio, but the lackluster sides and service =3. Free wifi is available. I would consider coming back on a Tuesday, to try their $ 1 Street Tacos deal, just because the lengua was outstanding. Parking available on metered street curbside spaces.
