This little restaurant is fabulous for small group events. We had the whole restaurant for a reunion. The executive chef, Pachi, created a menu that was divine. The food was delicious, the view of the harbor and bay was magical and the ability to mingle with old friends made this a perfect night. The attendees were so impressed, the vote to return next year was unanimous. I have also been here for romantic dinners with my husband and lunches with girlfriends. The fare has always been tasty and original, never boring and the service good.

What a nice surprise! Food was delicious. Osvaldo was an excellent server. He was not only on friendly and on top of everything, but really knew the menu and took pride in the food. We started with cocktails and calamari– delicious– there were plantains in the mix which was a delightful surprise, and two delicious sauces including a really nice one with dill. I had the poor man’s steak at Osvaldo’s rec and it was super delicious– the flavored, the chimichurri, the fried egg. Simply yum. My fiancée had snapper with delicious accoutrements. There were a number of other dishes that looked tantalizing. It is in a hotel, and it’s ambiance is consistent with a hotel restaurant. I highly recommend if you are in the area for some delicious and creative flavors and outstanding service.

mm. bartender was too busy not helping the bar. Took way too long to get a drink. The blond next to me was obviously looking a tad better than my weathered self that day. Food was ok so I won’t be back.

Just plain excellent. We had a group of 40 for a Saturday night dinner. Pachi(the Executive Chef & Manager) shut the dining room down for us and provided superior food and service. Food: Pachi provided us with our own personal menu — 5 entrees — each prepared carefully, delicious, and hot — which is a trick with 40 dinners coming out of the kitchen at once. The appetizers were delicious, as was the desert. Service: Impeccable — very pleasant and efficient wait staff. Ambience: Beautiful view of the Yacht Harbor and Bay. This is a go-to place if you have a group. My wife and I had lunch there about two months ago in preparation for this group dinner and that meal was also suberb.

We spent the most relaxing 5 days at this cozy B&B. Loved the food at their restaurant and that view! plan to how back again next year for a longer time. It’s very close to the City but we want to go for a few relaxing days which we surely found here.

Great menu, very friendly staff, and awesome happy hour options. The paella is outstanding and the filet sliders are a huge hit. The fish tacos are also delicious but don’t try to pick them up – a fork is necessary. The restaurant has a very energetic feel to it and it was a great place to grab dinner at the bar. The other patrons were very friendly as well!

This place is in a great location with a view and customer service is fantastic! The Food was great and ordered Ravioli with Alfredo and Red sauce mixed. It is located inside a Inn and very rustic scenery inside.

Horrible service! Our waitress pretty much forgot us. As everyone around us, who arrived much later were getting served she finally looked at us with a panicked look as she realized she f-ed up. After she frantically dug through orders to find ours we finally received our dinner after waiting well over an hour, with no apology.

I made two visits to this restaurant, and I was quickly seated. On the first visit, I had the Dominic’s Delight, which consists of a blend of Dungeness crab meat, shrimp, sea scallops, wild mushrooms, sauteed in a white wine, shallots and crème fraîche. It was perfectly prepared, and the waiter suggested if I come again, I should try the Paella Valenciana, which is a classic Spanish rice dish, with Dungeness crab, prawns, scallops, squid, clams, mussels, roasted chicken, chorizo, simmered with saffron broth, green peas and peppers.(Yum!) That’s what I had on my second visit, and it was wonderful as well! The restaurant is rather plain looking. Not really any décor at all. The main draw seems to be the wonderful food and the great view of the marina and the East Bay across the water. Well, the view may not be so great once the Sun goes down, though!

Late lunch after my super short flight in from Burbank! Great food. I was the only one here, so I caught them in their down time. Works for me. Server could be a bit more attentive. The assistants were more present. But overall if you’re in the area, I recommend the crab cake sliders and the crab & shrimp wontons with Aji sauce. A nice spicy-ness! Garlic fries also yummy! A note for management: I sat outside and though I love authentic seaside experiences, the cob webs all over the patio leave very much to be desired. It doesn’t take much to clean it up.

I wasn’t impressed with South Harbor. It’s located in a small, quiet inn that caters more towards the older, calmer crowd. The food wasn’t necessarily bad, it was just very very mediocre. In a city where there are endless options of 5 star restaurants, I wouldn’t use up one of my meals here. If you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends where you might get loud out of excitement, I would skip out on South Harbor because the atmosphere is a bit dull. Service was fine, it’s just the food and location. There’s also nothing around here so it’s an inconvenience to get to as well. Save your über money and check out another establishment!

Oysters and soufflé are outstanding. Came here on April 28, 2015 as it was my spring break vacation. The waiter was nice. The problem I had was the wait time for the oysters that took 30 minutes rather than 10 minutes. But it was worth it. My entrée was the seafood Linguini and it was ok. The seafood was perfectly cooked, but the linguini tasted too overcooked and the sauce had a little too much cream. I ordered the Shirley Temple and it was a good drink, but it’s your usual synthetic cherry Italian soda syrup and it’s a little too sweet in my opinion. With my friends the bill came out to $ 200-$ 300 range. Very pricy but it was mostly worth it. The outside patio was beautiful and it was not raining. I came to this restaurant because I come here bi annually for parties. Though I understand that most San Francisco restaurants are pricy, I definitely would come back anytime to Waterfront.

Came here for lunch the other day and had high hopes. My group ordered the calamari appetizer and it tasted like it had been out for awhile, definitely not freshly fried. I ordered the crab/shrimp panini which was mediocre at best. I’m thinking the sandwich was sitting too long before it got to me — the bread was on the soft/soggy side so every time I picked it up, stuff would fall out. The side of sweet potato fries was barely warm. It took over 30 minutes to get our entrees. The view is nice, but I probably won’t be back.

Quaint place locate with a hotel /inn. Great view of harbor. Seated quickly. Waiter was well versed in drink choices as well as preferences on menu. A bit crazy to think I came out to San Fransico and had New England Chowder. But let me say compliments to the chef. It was great. Paella was absolutely as good as I’ve had anywhere on Caribbean or South Florida. Not a fancy place but well worth finding.

I ate here New Year’s Eve and was painfully disappointed by their«Ghetto Chic». If you visit their site, you will see that for many special holidays(Valentine’s Day, Mothers Day, etc) they feature a special fix price menu. New Year’s Eve, we wanted to do something, but since we’re not drinkers and not youngsters, we looked for something closer to home, but that might still be a bit special. We went here for their New Year’s Eve special dinner. So, for starters, when we walked in there wasn’t a drop of décor. There was no way to tell this was New year’s Eve in any way shape or form. Additionally, the staff was dressed a bit down. No uniforms to speak of, let alone formal attire. The manager looked like he had just got back from a fishing trip. Secondly, the beautiful waterfront view isn’t there in the evening. Looking out the windows returns a mostly pitch black with a bit of a reflection of your table. I could have been eating in a basement. As part of the evening’s festivities, they offered free Champagne. I watched as many of the tables gobbled down the free offering, bottle after bottle. We identified ourselves as «non-drinkers». We got a couple of cokes and an ice tea, for which I think we paid $ 9 or 12 bucks for. So, the other tables are drinking up a bottle of champagne for every 1 or 2 people, with a real cost to the restaurant of $ 8 or so and we have to pay for a few soft drinks. Very poor form. I have no doubt that the kitchen can kick out some decent food, but there are 50,000 restaurants in the Bay Area that can do that. So, it really comes down to execution, service and the other things. The dishes were hit and miss, with most being pretty good, but all somehow having a little something off or missing. If you asked me what I had, I couldn’t really tell you(2 months later) and yet, I’ve been for meals at places, where 15 or 20 years later I can recite chapter and verse on my meal — after having been there only once. Our waitress did everything she could to try and get us to give her something extra, beyond the 20% mandatory tip that was on our bill. I felt the 20% was more than sufficient. And a few weeks later when I was rectifying my credit card receipts, I Found that the tax I was charged(above and beyond the service fee) was more than double the tax for this area. So, on top of things, I feel robbed. This was clearly a case of over promise and under deliver, as well as clearly ripping me off. This seems to me to be a place that takes advantage of its location next to major pharmaceutical businesses, giving it a steady lunch business, as well as tourists and business people staying here who may wander in for dinner and/or a drink, as well as people who live on boats in the nearby marina. When the manager wears a polo shirt and Khakis on New Year’s Eve, ignores new diners, and hangs out with his cronies all night, it speaks volumes. And charging a table premium prices for soft drinks, when they’ve indicated they don’t drink, is just a nickle, dime way of getting the bill and/or mandatory tip up. I grew up in the hospitality industry and know what it’s like to feel welcomed and this was a quick, cheap hustle. They don’t deserve my business or yours.

I was delightfully excited to go to this restaurant due to the promising reviews. I was kinda disappointed upon arrival, this place is outdated and looks like your grandmothers house. Service: sub-par I had to ask the waiters for service Food: delicious and fresh — this is the only reason I gave it stars. I’m assuming on warmer days where the marina is poppin’ this is above average. But on the cloudy day, it just wasn’t the greatest.

Groupon friendly! Very nice view, but too bad trees are covering a lot of the good parts. Our waitress was actually the bartender; nice lady, but never gave a spoon to my boyfriend to mix his coffee. Too bad they don’t have specialty cocktail drinks. I love cocktails, but managed to get a Mai Tai & it was very yummy. It was worth $ 10 in a tall beer glass. The crab cakes I had came w/some greens, which was nice. My crab sandwhich was very yummy. Garlic fries was too. My boyfriend liked his SF Burger too. People on Unilocal are talking about slow service, but for us, everything came out fast. I guess maybe because it wasn’t that busy. The only thing bothered me was the group next to us was a little too loud. I guess it was happy hour & they were drinking away. lol Overall, good experience.

I’ve been here quite often since I started work nearby and it has been a delight every time. This place can get quite busy during lunch so I would suggest making reservations if you plan to come around 12pm. I’ve had their calamari, their clam chowder, their ceviche, their special steak quesadilla and the avocado crabwich. The calamari– Breading was flavorful but fell off quite easily. The ceviche– The tuna was marinated in coconut milk and it was the first I’ve had of this type of ceviche. Coconut milk and lime didn’t mix too well for me Ceviche mixto– this is more of the standard ceviche which was quite flavorful and served well as an appetizer. The steak quesadilla– delicious! Steak was juicy and portion size was good. The avocado crabwich– whole pieces of crab! My absolute fave. Overall, a bit pricy but definitely worth a try! I will be back for sure!

Review is for their Happy Hour only. If you have a big group of hungry co-workers, this is a great spot! For the most part, most items on their happy hour bites menu range from $ 5 – 8 which when you have a big group splits into a really good deal. Their menu items do change from time to time but the one thing to get here are their Filet Mignon Sliders( ). They are very flavorful and tender as Filet Mignon should be and are quite filling, plus they come with fries! It’s really great deal for Happy Hour and pretty much everything on their HH menu is a bargain as well. Stop by and give them a try if you’re in the area.

The ambiance is great, sitting outside on the deck is perfect looking out over the water. Service was quick Some of the menu was a bit over priced for the quality and size. I had a spinach salad with crab over it-that was excellent My husband had a seafood dish that we both thought it was similar to something you would eat from a normal chain restaurant-nothing special!
