I have been going to this restaurant for years. And my order is pretty simple each and every time: Beans, Cheese, Rice, & Sour cream burrito I’ve been going there more frequently and the past 3 – 4 times I’ve gotten a burrito, half of It was filled with sour cream & it was Luke warm. I live 5 min away and my bf’s burrito is piping hot ! I didn’t want to lose hope so I kept coming back, this time they decided to add some lettuce to spice things up I guess. Thanks, but no thanks. I was pretty disappointed because it was a busy night and I drove around 15 min looking for parking to come home with something that was not warm and not what I ordered …

So I’ve been here 8 times, ordered the same thing, and have never been disappointed. Just wish it were calorie free.

I love this place! Love their self– serve salsa bar! The pico de gallo is fantastic. Unlike other restaurants, they don’t charge for their pico de gallo. Yes, I’m referring to Poncho Villa. Beef and shrimp burrito is awesome! Same goes for their ceviche!

This place was amazing! My friends ordered BBQ pork tacos(al pastor), but I went for a little variation. I ordered chicken, steak, and pork tacos(without onions). My goodness. They were all delicious, fresh, and full of meat. However, the pork taco was slightly better than both the steak and the chicken tacos. If you are ever in South San Francisco, or anywhere nearby, you should definitely make the trip. PS. Order their horchata, too. Especially if you are going to add some of their salsa to your tacos! There is also a bakery a few blocks away if you have any space in your belly for a freshly baked treat!

There’s something about a soggy salmon burrito that has me saying this is an average 3 star place. Their super burrito is supposed to have guacamole and sour cream but I really just taste beans and overcooked fish, and a lot of unmelted cheese. I think they do a better job with their plates. Any plate really. The steak plate looked good, and so did the enchilada plate. Did I order the wrong thing by choosing a burrito? Maybe, but ordering a burrito in a Mexican taqueria should be good right?

This place is awesome. El Far is down the street but I rather go here. Meats are good quality and marinated just right.

My boyfriend showed me this place a while back. It is our absolute favorite Taqueria! Food is always delicious and exactly how we ordered. Good amount of food for the prices. Only downside is it’s a cash only facility.

This place is so great! I come here at least 2x a week! Their Horchata is thee best! They have me addicted & the Huevos Rancheros is my favorite order, any time of the day it’s still amazing! They have really good salsa ! The ladies are excellent servers & total sweethearts! I love it here! Try the steak & shrimp burrito, or the Huevos rancheros, the carne Asada plate. Honestly, I’ve had everything on the menu & I’ve never been dissapointed ! check it out! You’ll be happy

The neighborhood seemed kind of sketchy. Came here for dinner around 7:30pm and there wasn’t a lot of street lighting. Walked into the establishment and it wasn’t too crowded. Looked at the menu and prices were pretty good. $ 6.50 for a regular burrito and $ 7.50 for a super burrito(includes guac, sour cream and cheese). Ordered a super carnitas to split with my son. First bite and I fell in love! So much flavor! By far one of the best burritos I’ve had in a long time without having to travel to the mission district. For our family of 4. 2 super burritos, nachos and a bean cheese and rice burrito, 2 sodas and 2 bottles of water with tip came out to under $ 33.00. The restaurant is a bit cold inside. Bathrooms are clean although there’s only one toilet and one sink. Public parking lot right next to the location. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends/family and would definitely return.

4 tacos: 2 lengua, 1 chorizo, 1 l pastor. Let’s just start with how big the portions are. I normally buy 3 tacos for myself. 2 is filling and the third is just in the case I’m still hungry. Since I’m trying out a new place, I decided to go safe and grab a 4th ., you never know if it would be extremely small in size or not. You could never be too sure. To my surprise, the 4 tacos not only fed both my friend and i but it filled us up !! We were actually pretty full after sharing the tacos !! All the more, the flavor was on point. It wasn’t too salty, too bland, it was proportional in terms of onions to meats. Their salsa verde could be a bit spicier but other than that I’ve no further comments. It’s a nice little place to visit if you’re ever in the neighborhood !!

Been coming here for a while now since it’s close to work. Burritos, tacos are all very good! Cheap place to have lunch before heading back to work to pay your overdue bills and keep from having your car repossessed, ugh!

Quality Mexican food for a low price. I think it’s super crowded at lunch, while it’s much quieter for dinner. I’ve gotten their fish tacos and they were awesome, while the chicken burrito was decent but not amazing. But it’s a great place to stop by on your way to the airport, or a quick bite if you work close by.

Good burrito and good prices. I had a carna asada super and it was juicy and full of flavor. Salsa bar has a variety of salsas. One is orange. Strange, but good.

Disgusting place! Found a long hair in my food and when I told the girl at the counter she asked me «where?» as if I was deliberately wasting time from my lunch hour just to joke around that there was a foreign object in my food. When i showed her she said«ok», took the plate, and rolled her eyes. Never EVER going back here again! Lack of hygiene and customer service. Too bad there’s no «0» stars option because 1 is too much.

A friend recommended the shrimp burrito here with the orange sauce. VERYGOOD! I was happy with my with my order. We also got carne asada nachos and they weren’t that good. They also put these weird leafs in between, i think they had basil and some lettuce, but obviously didn’t belong in a nacho order. I think I’ll just come back for the burritos.

Los Metates, I miss you. To be honest, I can’t remember having much else from Los Metates other than bean and cheese burrito. Simple, honest, and unassuming, bean and cheese burrito. It tasted fine and filled me up. BUT, what kept me coming back to Los Metates was the sesame salsa. I loved it. I drowned my burrito in it. I drank it from the little cups. I wanted to steel the whole tub it, but I didn’t. I sit here and wonder how there meaty meats tasted, but I am sure when I go back i will just get another bean and cheese.
