This location is a series of studios and my review only applies to Alter Ego, which lives here. The building is at the back of a massive series of stores. I needed an updated look and went to Tasia since Alter Ego claims to specialize in ethnic hair. I have thick, short, natural hair that breaks all the time and it’s been really hard to find a stylist to do anything with it. Honestly, they did an amazing job. I said I wanted purple that could work for work and she delivered. Above and beyond. Also, she got my hair relaxer-straight using a flat iron and a blow dryer. The locale itself is fairly nice. Ample parking, though you might have to walk a few feet depending on when you arrive. Also, clean and modern looking.

The place is clean, fresh, and modern. The building is absolutely beautiful. Everything is up to date.
It’s not a regular salon with a receptionist working. To my belief, it’s being rented out by stylists who already have clientele. There won’t be anyone at the front desk. I’m not sure how to schedule appointments or anything of that nature. I know only my personal experience and the experience was perfect. 5 out of 5 STYLISTS Tim Muir is the best stylist here. He’s very knowledgable, and is the best in Utah, the best in the US. He knows how to do any hair type but is especially skillful with black hair. Being ½ Black and ½ Asian, no one will ever touch my locks besides Tim. My little brother and sister who are full Black, also go to Tim. I’ve been going to him since I was 13. I’ll go anywhere he goes. 5 out of 5
