I am so sad to give this restaurant only 3 stars, but it’s the location, not the actual restaurant. Berkeley was our server, and only checked on us once, and that was when our food was almost gone. We tried the Pineapple Tonic, and only tasted cucumbers and ginger, and when we told her, her response was«well at least you can say you tried it». It was not quite what I expected from a server. But if I was just giving the food a review, it would be a 5 star review, no questions asked. We tried the Summer Specials, and they were GOOD!!! My husband had the Healthy Turkey & Veggie Omelette, and I had the Farmers Hash. Both had great flavors, but preferred the hash a bit more. We then shared the Berry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast, and I can’t even begin to describe the deliciousness that came with it. YUM!!! I just wish the service was better, but the drive to Draper, isn’t too bad, so we will continue to go there instead.

The ambiance here is somewhere between ihop and my mother’s living room. So, you don’t come in expecting gourmet. But for what they are, they’re great. The service was fast, nice, and thorough. The food was good and plentiful. I had the avocado toast. The avocados were fresh and seasoned well on some really great grainy toast. My husband’s berries on his waffle were fresh and flavorful. I also got some kale juice drink that was odd but tasted of fresh fruits and veggies and made my tummy happy. My husband was thrilled with the carafe of extra Arnold Palmer they brought him. The eggs were nothing special but ok. I’ll happily come here again.

This breakfast/lunch place was cozy like a diner but also had a classy look to it. The food was great and was at a great price!

My husband and I went to the egg and I in Vegas for the first time and we were in love. Huge portions, amazing Cajun potatoes, tons of options. I bought a Groupon here in Utah really excited for the chance to go again. It was COMPLETELY different. A ¼ of the choices, food was not as good, they have mediocre ranch potatoes and the environment is completely different. We decided we would rather eat at IHOP and wait till Vegas to go to the egg and I again.

Was pleasantly surprised and delighted no way to tell from the outside !! Staff was nice and responsive. We had a pot of each kind of coffee they offer… each one it the spot.

Came here for breakfast and found the lobby area a bit crowded. We decided to wait it out because we could see about a dozen open tables. We waited and waited and I noticed they would seat a group, one at a time and then wait about 5 to 10 minutes before seating another group despite multiple open tables. I turned to my wife and jokingly pointed to a nearby open table and said we should just go wait our turn at that table rather than stand in the lobby. Another 20 minutes or so of them seating groups one at a time and pausing it was finally our turn to be seated. Guess where we were sat?, of course, it was the open table I jokingly said we should just take. The food was a little better than average. I got the Cambridge skillet and found it to be pretty decent. The English muffin was actually the star of the show. I cant understand why they choose to seat groups the way they do. I would much rather wait a little longer for a server sitting down at my table rather than waiting standing up in a crowded lobby looking at empty tables.

I have been here few times already and still loving it. They are family friendly breakfast. They open very early in the morning around 7 a.m. I had vegetable omelets and my sister had avocado Benedict this morning. The omelets was on point and we both like the avocado Benedict. Their pancake was not really my favorite and almost $ 6, and the tea was little pricey. That’s why I deduct a star. But overall, great breakfast, great eggs, great service. Everyone there is friendly. Good breakfast place :)

It was just okay. Not bad but not great. Service was slow. Everything was an extra add on. Grits were cold.

A great breakfast place. Also makes a nice lunch place with limited options. I tried 3 – 4 dishes over there and all of them are 5 star. The thing i like with the restaurant is that i usually make a lot of substitutions in my food, and the waiters give the feeling that they are glad to help me customize my food. And no extra costs due to substitutions. Way to go. Thanks for having such a great restaurant around. I wish there are more family owned and small chain restaurants coming up compared to bigger chains, because we get unique taste in the small restaurants.

We have gone to this location twice now, the service is not good at all! The kids menu is terrible, by that I mean my kids leave hungry and for the $$ I can’t believe how little they feed the kids! The last time I had to order extras because the tiny portions are not enough to feed any kid!(My kids usually never even finish their portions at other restaurant’s) Ok with that said the food is good, better than a lot of breakfast places! I would almost say great but with the small kids portions and the super sucky service, I probably won’t be coming back! I wish it was a bit better on the service because that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The first time a man(I think it was the manager) was super rude to my friend who was just trying to get our bills right(the waitress messed all our bills up), he was very condescending and just out right rude!!! He kept talking to my friend like she was a little girl who needed to be scolded! Ummmm no thank you! I probably won’t be back to this location because of those issues. Maybe if another location opens we would go because the food really was super good!

Eggs benedict with loaded potatoes is delicious. For the price we got all of our food, we were pleased with the results. Definitely coming back. If only it was open later, we’d be back more often!

My wife and I both love breakfast so when we saw The Egg & I we knew we needed to try it. The restaurant itself is nice inside with a family restaurant feel. There is lots of indoor seating, including a large banquet room, and a big outdoor patio as well. Our server was friendly and food was served up fast. My wife enjoyed the Veggie Benedict and I had the french toast. My meal was pretty good, although the bread was a little soggy after buttering it up and drizzling some syrup on it. I think they either need to cook the french toast a little more or use thicker bread. Eggs and bacon were also good.

Disgusting restaurant. 5 trillion flies in the dining room floating above the tables. I saw employees scratching their face heading into the kitchen. Food was 3 stars. My eggs were over hard in a Benedict? Wtf? The customer service up front is so shitty. Half the restaurant empty yet it took the two socially awkward high school boys 10 minutes to get us sat. Please hire socially functioning people to greet and operate the register. The boy with curly short hair and glasses at the register was the worst ever. This place is a gloomy disposition. Don’t eat here please.

We were lucky to get in on a Sunday. Every time we drove by we always saw that they were packed. Food was okay, almost on par with Cracker Barrel, kind of home cooked style of food. We had the eggs benedict and the Vera Cruz omelet. Both were very decent tasting. The service was great until the end when she put the check on the table and we waited 20 minutes and she was no where to be found so we took it up to the front and they rang us up there. Had I known I could have done that I wouldn’t have waited. Not sure I would go back, now that the Original Pancake house is opening a 3rd location in Sandy we will frequent that place for sure.

Wanted to try brunch at a place other than Denny’s or IHOP and decided on The Egg and I, which was just a few minutes away. Came in with little expectations but definitely came out very satisfied. On a Sunday at 10:30am, probably at 75% capacity and was seated immediately. Ordered the Vera Cruz Chicken and Avocado Omelet and the Colorado Jack Scramble. Food came out within 10 minutes, portions were moderate but everything tasted pretty good. If you order one entrée, I wouldn’t expect to be too full, but I would definitely come back again and try other items. I can’t really complain about anything else.
