It took five weeks to get a shirt replaced after GREERS burned(or stained) one during cleaning. Clothes occassionally get damaged during cleaning. No worries there. But five weeks to get a replacement? The shirt ruined was(prominently) monogrammed but the replacement was not so I didn’t actually get the shirt replaced as I had to pay to have the new one monogrammed. Lack of attention and customer care is disappointing. There are few alternatives nearby and«pricing in line» with other providers sounds like a recipe for mediocrity. How about providing outstanding value and unsurpassed service to make customers want to return, instead of just reaching for average?

I am a long time customer of Greers. Sadly, today I was sorely disappointed with their lack of customer service. I arrived shortly before closing to find the clerk at the door latching things up, the«Open» sign still illuminated in the window. I walked toward the building. The clerk did not acknowledge me and continued closing. I expected better. I will pick up my laundry next week and I will no longer patronize Greers.

If you’re from a major city you’re probably spoiled by your dry cleaner. Greers is good for this part of Vermont(hell, most places in VT don’t have dry cleaners). I believe it’s more expensive than what you’d pay in a city, takes longer and they don’t always do as good of a job(I’ve had to send things back before), but I’ve shopped around and this is where I do my dry cleaning. The customer service at this location is better than their other location, I think.

Decent coil laundromats. I travel a lot, and use many coin laundromats. This one is pretty good. $ 2 to $ 6 wash and .25c for 7 minutes on dryers. Pretty clean with only a few michine a out of order. Not too big so come early before it gets too busy. Change machine works. I’ve been to lot worse. I would revisit this one again.

I dropped off a suit and requested it be expedited. She said the best she could do was 2 days. I asked if there was a extra charge she said no. I was happy to hear that. I came back in two days an when I looked at my suit it seems all they did was put it in the plastic bag and let it hang. It actually looked dirtier then when I dropped it off. I spoke to the lady and told her that it looks exactly like when I dropped it off. She said she can have it done by tomorrow same time. I came by the next day and it was actually done this time. Customer Service was a 3, but the actually service I would give a 2. I’m going to try Gadue’s because I have heard they were actually good.

I bring my laundry to the south end location a couple times a month. Nice people, solid service, and well priced. But they close all the time within their posted hours with no indication of why! Were it not for the random closings, I’d have only good things to say. I’m writing this review in their parking lot at 5:45 on a Wednesday and they are closed for the day. Hours say until 6.

We went to Greer’s twice now — and we are never going back there again. Go to Gadue’s if you must get something dry cleaned. They are right around the corner on Route 2. First — the customer service here is by far the worst I have experienced in Vermont. We brought in a pair of pants to be dry cleaned. We pick up a week later and when my husband puts them on — realized that one of the pant leg hems has come undone. The pants were perfectly fine when we dropped them off. We return to Greers and show them the hem. The response was that pants are cheaply made so they can’t help it if the hem comes off sometimes but they will see what they can do. They also mentioned that it looked as if the pants had dirt and needed to be dry cleaned again. The way the lady spoke to us made it seem as if we would have to pay for the hem but the dry cleaning would be covered at no-cost. NO indication otherwise. Let me point out: 1) These are not a cheap pair of pants, 2) No apology at all and in fact the elderly lady acted quite inconvenienced 3) Told us they have a policy to not refund or pay for tailoring hems. A policy that basically absolves them from being responsible for ANY mistakes or destroying your clothes and blaming you. We received a phone call from the manager who stated as such and told us it would be $ 9 to hem. At the time, my husband needed these pants for work and agreed even though we should have just taken them back and done it ourselves. Hindsight is 20 – 20 and maybe this Unilocal review will prevent others from the same mistake. When we go back to pick up the pants the same elderly lady upfront tells us it is $ 16!!! When we tried to push back that we were quoted $ 9 and that something is not right she INSISTED that was what the ticket said. We reluctantly paid $ 16 because she was holding the pants hostage. I guess I am crazy but I think that making sure your customers are happy and not misled is more important to a business — would deducting the $ 7 really be that big a loss? Is Greers really that worried people will come back and undo hems or create tears and expect them to pay? Dry cleaners in NYC charge $ 3 for pants and are more than happy to cover damages and somehow they survive in a city with sky high rents and people that may never come back again. It’s really not that difficult. That was the last time we went there and have told several friends and family about the experience. Greers — be prepared to lose business if you don’t change your policies to be customer friendly. And start training your staff to stop acting as if they are do us a favor.

Awful. I strongly recommend avoiding Greer Dry Cleaning. Go to Gadue or any other independent in the area if possible. I went in to pick up my dry cleaning, and the credit card machine was out of order. After waiting for 10 minutes for the woman to manually enter my card number several times, I told her I needed to leave as I had intended for it to be a quick stop. I offered to have her call me when the machine was running so I could pay over the phone. She proceeded to call a manager and spend another 7 minutes discussing the situation with her manager. I then asked to speak with the manager and made the same offer to pay over the phone. The manager said that wouldn’t be possible(I do not know why). The clerk wrote down my credit card number, and demanded(and I mean demanded!) that I sign the paper to prove that I would pay. She failed to write down the amount I would be charged on the paper and said if I didn’t sign it, that I could not take my laundry. I signed, and left with my clothes. I called the Greer main office and asked to speak with a manager, and I was told that they would call me back. Needless to say, they did not call me back. I just noticed they did go ahead and charge my credit card though. I will say this… that generally speaking, Greer doesn’t care about their customer service. Given an option, I strongly recommend going somewhere else.

There are tons of washers and dryers here, so the few times I’ve been there was no problem getting several machines to do all my laundry at once. They have double, triple and even quad load washers too so you can do giant loads and pay a little less. They also have big dryers to save you some money. All in all I still think it’s on the pricey side though and I swear nobody’s run a mop through that place in years. So I always feel like once my laundry comes out of the washer the clock is ticking until it’s dirty again just from being here. Also got some pants dry cleaned here once. So expensive! Good thing to know: I’ve you’re in a jam and just really don’t have time to do laundry, they do wash-dry-fold by the pound. It’s pricey, but it’s worth it when you’re to busy to do laundry yourself. One last thing: FREE Wi-Fi!
