The Comfort Zone Grille & Bar

Went with a bunch of friends for pizza and drinks. The pizza is as big as the table and comes out in these huge trays. We got the one with scallops and bacon. Yummy. Drinks were good too. Service okay. Our server forgot to bring Abner’s beer and needed to be reminded.
It was a little on the loud side all night long. There was live music. We had a nice time. Will definitely go back.

Food is much improved. Better organization.
Grilled salmon very tasty; chowder has a chourico flavor which was very interesting.
Glad to see they have improved and got their act together. We now have no hesitation about eating here.

Stopped in for a quick drink with the locals before heading to the liberal club Christmas party.

Came here last night (Friday 6 p.m.) with my boyfriend. The place was very busy and very loud. We ate in the dining area, which really is right adjoined to the bar area. Our waitress was very good, the place was SO noisy that she could barely hear us, of which I feel bad for the servers. Unfortunately, because this place is so small, there is really no separation between the bar area and the dining area. Now, the food, I had the fish and chips $ 9. and a cup of chowder $ 3., my boyfriend had the tuna wrap $ 8. and a cup of chowder as well. The chowder was pretty good, tasty and a good consistency. The fish and chips, although they give you a very good size for the price, were just okay. The batter needed to be seasoned much more. The fish really doesn’t;‘t have too much flavor, because it’s a white fish the flavor needs to be in a good seasoned batter. The coleslaw, well again, no flavor. My boyfriend enjoyed his tuna wrap. The fries were good. It’s not a bad place do dine, I will try it again sometime. It’s convenient and good for a quick dinner. I just won’t order the fish and chips again.

Similar to the other reviews here — I really wanted to like this place but after trying again and again, I am done! At first, it wasn’t so bad when they opened. They were a little off with the service but since it was a new restaurant, I gave them a pass. Now they’ve been open much longer and they still can’t get it right. Food is never consistent and there is literally only one waitress that knows what she’s doing. All the others are horrible. The last time my husband and I tried to go there, we were seated outside right after another party of 2 and after 15 minutes of no server greeting us, we got up and left. And the party that was sat right before us did too! They are literally just letting $$ walk right out the door. They need to have that one good waitress train the others, otherwise they will not be around much longer. We definitely won’t be back which is sad as it’s so close to home and definitely has potential.

Place is ok for a local restaurant and bar. Servers are always friendly. The entertainment is a plus. Nice place for a drink and appetizer on a summer night.

Inconsistent, too bad you can’t get the same meal the same way twice. Use a lot of frozen foods especially the appetizers. Gave the place way too many chances to improve.

This place is so loud at night. It’s a small little location and the amount of people inside doesn’t help at all. Next, they did the strangest thing half way through our meal she opens the door allowing 30 degree air to come rushing through the dinner. I am now wearing my winter jacket at the dinner table!
The waiter was had was obviously very new and was having a really rough time with getting everything. He had too many people to serve and not enough experience.
I am not ok with half the table getting their dinner plates and then 5 minutes later the rest of meals come out. No, you bring the entire tables meal out at one time. It’s the polite thing to do.
The vegetarian options are pathetic. The vegetarian wrap contained probably a cup of vegetables wrapped between a soggy tortilla.
My recommendation if you want a lobster roll, come to this place! If you want huge portions of pizza, come here. If you want steamers I would also recommend coming here.
Anything else there are plenty of other seafood locations that can do it better.

I’ve worked all summer in the area and eat out every meal. I tried nearly every restaurant in the area and have found some good ones. Comfort Zone is a good place too eat. Owners in the kitchen and owners serving dishes themselves… what more can I say about attention to food taste quality and presentation? Wonderful selection and prices. Steak tips and deep fried Oreo for desert are my favs followed by the fresh fish. Oh! try a lobster bomb! And their home made pizzas are amazing. Recomend Comfort Zone
And after eating almost 50 times here I qualify myself to do that :)

I really wanted to like this place. I wanted to like it so much that I went back after a crappy experience to give them a second chance at a different time. It was even worse.
#1 Poor service. Both times I’ve been there, but the second time, for lunch with only a few other people, I didn’t even get a refill on water after being there for ONE AND A HALF HOURS.
#2 Where is the food? We came into the restaurant at noon. Ordered steamers which were on the specials menu. FIFTEEN minutes later we were told they «ran out» of steamers. The place had just opened. An HOUR later we were told they ran out of peanut butter (we had a 3 yr old with us). None of us were asked if we wanted a refill on drinks (see above). None of us had gotten our food yet. One of us did NOT GET FOOD until the others in the party were almost done (which also happened the 1^st time we went).
#3 The food isn’t very good. Which is a real bummer after all the above.
