Kid lifeguards running the pool are terrible at knowing how to talk to people and are on a power trip. Ridiculously bad customer service. There’s a right and a wrong way to talk to people, especially kids under 7 or so. Don’t get me started on how contradicting they are. My daughter used shorts to swim in the pool on multiple occasions and they call her out on it one day out of the blue. I complained to the manager n they let her use them still. Pool is beautiful, but it’s like they just want you to get in the water n just stand there. You can’t do anything without the pool police getting on your azz. If I go back I’m going to lay into their azzes if they give me or my kids their sh: tty attitudes.

Love eating picnics at this park while watching ducks walk around, it’s pretty entertaining. The only problem with this park is that they should consider remodeling there nasty bathrooms, it’s seriously disgusting, but other than that, everything is great.

This review is for the park district’s duck Pond Park and I know it’s under construction still but I love coming to the park with my kids and they love playing on the playground. I can’t wait till the construction is done because I know my kids love feeding the ducks.

This review is specifically written for those looking for the most AMAZING pool to do aqua aerobics, deep water aerobics and lap swimming. I have been to most of the public pools from South of Los Angeles to North of Ventura and there is no pool like this one. They offer the most water classes and adult swim technique class and a masters swimming program. It is also a 50 meter pool and 15 ft deep and opens 5 am for lap swimmers. I was struggling with learning how to swim and this is the only place that I found to really help me because the instructors are amazing and hours are great.

This is in my opinion the best park in Simi. The play areas(there are 2 one for bigger kids and one for little ones) are really well maintained and fun for the kids. There is a HUGE duck pond filled with lots of birds and always things to explore. The ground is well maintained and it’s a parent and kids dream park!

The SImi Valley Recreation and Parks District is one of the most professional, organized and ACTIVE groups I’ve ever met. I like that they keep new activities happening that we can join(like Pilates, Yoga and now Pickleball) through the Community book they send out. Our parks are BEAUTIFUL. The lighting would be the only thing to change since I have been there at the crack of dawn and it is super hard to see. The dirt tracks at all of the parks that have them are maintained. After a big celebration weekend(like July 4th) where there are lots of picnics the park staff are busy getting it looking perfect again. The trails of Simi Valley are maintained by the District and the Rancho Simi Trailblazers(they are volunteers) and they do a fantastic job. My only complain on the trails is that it appears the mountain bikers are cutting new trails and this is TERRIBLE. I would only assume they are not from our town and don’t care like we do as Simi citizens. I also read that they were one of the only viable park districts. Because of their efficiency they were able to let budgeted money go to other cities in need. Other cities should send their Parks and Recs staff to Simi’s to get good ideas on being a successful district.
