Mongolian Bar-B-Q & Chinese Cuisine Golden Grill

Decent service but mixing the sauces by oneself makes enjoying the meal a risky affair.

We didn’t get our drinks until the end of the dinner… the food was tasteless. It was the subway of Asian food. It seems they have lost their passion for cooking.

If you visit Silverdale and enjoy Mongolian /​Chinese food then this place is a must! They have an excellent selection of meets, vegetables, noodles, & sauces ready to plate up fresh for the chef to cook to perfection! I take a star away because the bar (which has been expanded over the years to accommodate such additions as pool, pull tabs, etc… Can get loud at night and the staff can at times let regulars get a little louder than I like when I sit down to enjoy food. Please note that if you go during the day during the week you don’t run into this problem nearly as often.

My family and I happened to go in before closing but we were welcomed and given great service. I would definitely go back again for the all you can eat Mongolian bbq.

Food was not nearly as good tasting or same appearance as photos indicated. Most everything was marginal on flavor, especially the hot and sour soup. The food from the grill was good. The moo shoo pork was tasty but not hot… the Chinese pancakes were really thin but sturdy… the sauce was tasty (probably the best part of our meals). And the waitress was nice enough to build the moo shoo pork for us at the table.

Place was garbage, flies everywhere… Went in the evening and drunks at the bar yelling. Probably over served… Wouldn’t recommend

Very pleased with the food we got off the grill! The soup needed salt but i wasn’t there for the soup. My son had chicken and fries And he said it was good. I love that they have a bar attached to the restaurant but still separate from the eating area. Will definitely go back again!

Went here the other day because I wanted to try a new Mongolian grill after eating at wok on fire twice a week. The food wasn’t terrible, but I mixed the same things I usually do at wok on fire and got completely different results. Not sure if the grill wasn’t clean or what was going on but it wasn’t very good. Girlfriend got the cashew shrimp, the shrimp had a weird texture. The fried rice wasn’t bad. As far as prices, they were about the same as most Chinese/​mongo places. The service wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had but not good. The lady seemed angry, or just didn’t give a fuck. I asked for hot sauce when I sat down and got it when I was pretty much done with my meal. Not the worst place I guess but I’ll probably stick with wok on fire for now.

I’ve been on a Unilocaling spree and thought I should write a review for this place since I just finished eating some food I picked up from here for a late take-​out dinner. I have to say, I’m pretty disappointed at what I got. I’ve come here once or twice before with the hubby for the AYCE Mongolian BBQ. I have to say, I do enjoy that. For $ 13, you get to pick your option of meats, veggies, and noodles, and watch them cook it in front of you on a large flat grill. It’s pretty good. I’ve never had any of their entrees or combo meals before though, and since it was almost 8pm and everything in Kitsap closes super early, I thought I would try the take-​out here.
The lady who took my order was pretty nice. I looked at their menu and it’s the typical Chinese-​American fare but it seemed a bit pricey to me for what they offered. I had settled on their Double Luck Beef & Broccoli combo. It comes with chow mien, fried rice, soup, and an egg roll. I asked if the beef and broccoli was a full size portions in this combo and the lady said yes. Maybe she didn’t understand what I meant because when I received my order, it was a small scoop of meat and broccoli in the little section of the styrofoam to-​go container. The beef and broccoli tasted good but nothing special, like typical stuff you would get at the asian places in the mall like Panda Express. There was a scoop of fried rice that was very bland. It was dark colored so I’m sure they used soy sauce in it but there were no veggies or meat, not even eggs from what I could see. Basically, it was just rice with soy sauce that was fried. They topped it off with a spoonful of chopped bbq pork and some green onions to make it look nice but it was still very «eh». I was surprised to find 2 egg rolls in my meal though. Not sure if that’s typical or they were being nice. I was excited until I actually bit into it. It was very bland. The filling was veggies, no meat, but I’ve had veggie egg rolls before that were super yummy. The egg drop soup was bland so I had to add tons of soy sauce to it but it didn’t make much of a difference. The biggest portion of the meal was the chicken chow mien. It took up half of the container. It was ok with soy sauce I guess but nothing great. I spent $ 12 including tax and I feel I probably could have went to the mall with their limited options and still got twice as much food for the same price and it still taste better.
I was hungry and so I thought I would try their take-​out. Now I’m just disappointed. I’m sure their other food options may be better. I haven’t tried them yet so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I do really like their Mongolian bbq so I may come back for just that. Otherwise, the Double Luck combos wasn’t worth the money.

I had a wonderful lunch here and was able to stay on track, fresh vegetables and plenty of lean chicken, pork, beef. We will be coming back with friends!

I went here with my boyfriend and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve never thought anything of this sketchy looking hole in the wall. They are remodeling the inside, it’s got a sort of grungy feel with the black paint on the walls and the pool table in the middle of the dining area. The service was good, but the food was amazing! I had the broccoli beef. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, even if it’s just for takeout.

We’ve been going here since I was a kid! They’re bbq is THE BEST! I hate that I can’t get it now that I’ve moved. They make the BEST egg drop soup in the world and their fried rice is awesome! I love that they bring you tea and water standard so you’ll never run out of drinks. They’re very friendly staff (especially to kids) and it’s awesome to see them cook your creation right in front of you. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

My first time here. I enjoyed it! You get to choose between the menu and the Mongolian BBQ buffet options. The three meats were lamb, beef, pork, chicken. There are many different options, your imagination is your ultimate limitation. Lunch is 9.95 and dinner was 12.95. Lamb for 9.95? Yes please!!! It’s a nice spot for your family… Really great for a kid to learn what she/​he likes to cook with and what ingredients they like to use. Enjoy… I know my family did as did I!

Great food and service. Bar is fun at night. It would be better if they would pay a real DJ to play music though, or just someone wh can properly run a sound board, too much treble and too much bass. Makes for a bad headache. I love loud music, but this is just awful.

Excellent Take-​out tonight… hot & sour soup was spot on… delish. Chicken chop suey was also spot on… and the house special fried rice… perfect!!!
We went for dinner here earlier in the week… but after 15-​minutes waiting at our table for our server… or anyone, we decided to leave and went on over to the Port Orchard Golden Grill where the service was attentive, food was perfect… and we felt appreciated.
My recommendation would be to focus on completing the restaurant remodel, then reopen for table service.
A tip to management… consider reinstalling the baffle between the noisy bar & restaurant. Another reason to consider why no one is staying in the restaurant for dinner just might be the loud profanity coming from the bar… just saying!!!

This place is old school and getting remodeled. The grill food was fresh and cold and clean. Our food was tasty.

So we were hesitant to go inside because it looked a little sketchy but we kept going. The host was super nice and sat us promptly! We sat down and the server (an older Asian lady) came by and I told her we had never been here before and she explained everything super clearly! I was very impressed she was more than happy to tell us what was up. All you can eat Mongolian BBQ for 12 bucks! Count me in! They have so much to choose from, we had so much fun, and left stuffed! We will be back for sure! I highly recommend! Like I said… a little shady looking but super delicious and reasonably priced!

Love this place since I was in my early 20’s. The mongolian aspect is great. The place is clean and the choices are plentiful to fill your bowl and have them cook. The chinese food part of the restaurant is fine too. I enjoyed their house specials a lot and I always order extra spicy. The portions are large enough to share. This food runs to the more American tastes of Chinese food. However, you can get lots of food for a reasonable price.

This is your typical BBQ grill with a good selection of well stocked items. We have been there multiple times and have not been disappointed ever.
You need to get creative with the sauces or things can be pretty boring.
