Fantastic food, good price. I had the Orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with rice and macaroni salad. It cost 9 dollars. Great deal however I wish it came with a little more rice. I feel that’s it’s just a great value. The restaurant is nice and clean. It’s in a corner of a little shopping plaza. I also feel the staff was friendly. Give it a try.

Food and service is always great here. The only place we will eat bulgogi in town. Husband and wife operation and the wait time is never long.

I’ve never tired anything on the menu other than the chicken teriyaki but I’ve had that many, many times. As good as it gets!

I was visiting from out of town, and my boyfriend was checking for some good places to eat in Silverdale. He came upon this place, and it had good reviews, so we thought we would give it a shot. He ordered a bento box and I ordered teriyaki chicken. The food was not great, but it was edible. The prices were also a little steep for the quality. We both got soft drinks and by the serve yourself soda machine there was a sign that said«NO more than ONE refill», which was a little off putting. Overall, not a great experience, but not the worst I’ve ever had.

I’ve been coming here for a decade. Consistently awesome food, huge portions and friendly staff. That’s all I need… Check it out.

I love Joys Teriyaki! Most of the time I call in my order because I get off at 7 and don’t want to cook or wait a long time to I call it in and bam in 10 mins it’s done, when I do come in it really only takes about 6 – 9 mins to get the food which really isn’t bad when it’s perfectly cooked and hot. I love love love this place, get the chicken meal! Skip the the little salad they put on there because it’s lame and just order extra rice.

I have been here a couple of times and originally even today I thought it would be like the one in Bremerton. But it is unique in on self. The food is simple and great. But it is a mom and pop place with food that is good and tasty.

Very nice lunch here yesterday! Had to be in the area on business, so we stopped in to Joy’s afterwards for a quick lunch. As I usually do at Asian places the first time, I try the Mongolian beef — sort of my ‘benchmark’ for such eateries. And it was wonderful! Great flavor, rich seasonings, not overly cooked or seasoned — just right and very tasty. Anne had the chicken broccoli stir-fry — she commented it tasted like«home made» — again, just right in cooking and seasoning. The starter egg-flower soup was also very well made with good flavor and texture. The only thing that kept it from being a 5-star was the rather cool and disinterested service. The waitress was busy texting when we came in, and she didn’t acknowledge us until the text exchange was done. Even then, she was very cool and distant — not very welcoming, right up to the end. But the food made up for most of it — I’d love to work my way through their menu. 4-stars — Yay! I’m a fan! Dave & Anne

Surprisingly good food, fast and clean. Server not super friendly but no big whoop. I was impressed with the décor. Inexpensive, yet really sets the place apart. They had two space heaters set up, which my wife appreciated. I refilled my root beer and they didn’t complain. Menu included chinese food. Very extensive menu for such a small place that advertises as teriyaki. Highly recommended for a quick cheap bite to eat. Great when some in your party wants american food and others want something asian.

Best teriyaki in town(in my opinion anyway). I pretty much always get either the bento box #1 or the teriyaki chicken dinner. Both are great — tender meat, good California rolls — everything tastes excellent and is consistent. I am knocking off one star because they’ve gotten rid of the $ 3.99 teriyaki special(I think they still have some kind of special at lunch but it used to be all day). They still have good prices and good food and the day they close I will wear a black armband in mourning and cry.

I love Joy’s! If I want teriyaki there is no other place! I agree about the photos though… I could sit anywhere and find people that i know… that was amusing.

i have been eating at joy’s since high school. the change of ownership in my opinion had little to no impact on the food. the service is good, the food is great! Chicken teriyaki NEEDS to be tender and juicy(who wants dry teriyaki?), joy’s chicken teriyaki pulls it off everytime! Joy’s also carrys a very unique yet delicious house salad dressing that i cannot find anywhere else! it is so good that i put some of that dressing on my chicken! the atmosphere is quiet. it’s a place where you can just go in, grub, then leave stuffed. i do miss the pictures on the wall. for those who don’t know, joy’s used to take pictures of the guest that come in and would tack them on the wall. the entire dining room was just walls of pictures! it gave joy’s more of a sense of community than just another teriyaki joint in kitsap.
