White Oak Wine & Liquour

Great find! MoCo is all weird about liquor distribution, meaning they control it, and the result is that sometimes the county liquor store is your best bet for liquor and wine. Beer selection, not so great (try Old Line for a store that has it all), but I always find something new and exciting here, and it’s right next to a Giant grocery store, so you can hit both up without making a second stop.

Question: Why is it when I walked in this place they all look at me like I’m the one who robbed them last week? Come on man FUNK DAT. Well okay not quite like that but almost. I get the feeling that they must get quite the sketchy characters in this place so they are very untrusting in their patrons. Well fear not folks I’m just here to grab some semi cheap none drinking kind of brandy and other spirits that I need to do some kicked up a notch Thanksgiving Day cooking for the familia, so just point me to the little bottles and I’ll be just fine thank you.
They appear to have a average selection of some decent labels and lots of the cheap ones. Looks like everything is on sale. This is definitely old school «licker stowr» here. Strictly «hard licker» for those who want to get drunk and quick. no fancy schmancy set ups, no snooty sales staff, no tasting of the sample products nothing just get in pick out what you want pay for it and get out. DONE! if you hang around outside the cops will be there to show you the way out. Yeah just a cold vibe in this busy spot. Not some place that I will be back anytime soon even though it is pretty close by for me. They have been here for a while now and it shows, it’s a little run down like most of the places in the White Oak shopping center is now. I guess if you are dashing in for a quick pick up to get your «cheap strong licker on» then you should have fun here but me… meh thinks not, I’ll just take my snobby taste self elsewhere.
